Bloodborne Tools and Weapons Guide

Bloodborne has 11 Tools and 26 weapons split between melee and firearms.

Below is a list of all the Tools and Weapons organised by their locations.

Tools Locations

A Call Beyond

After defeating the Celestial Emissary, smash the window near the lantern, go through, and check to the right.

Augur of Ebrietas

Inside a chest behind a locked door—you have to go through a sort of classroom—on the ground floor of the Lecture Building. The key to the door can also be found on the ground floor.

Beast Roar

Inside a broken down shack in the Forbidden Woods near the dogs in cages.

Choir Bell

After defeating Micolash, use the Iron Door Key to gain access to the bridge, cross it and find the bell inside a chest inside a room.

Empty Phantasm Shell

Inside the Byrgenwerth Mansion where a hunter attacks you. Go upstairs and climb some ladders to a spiral staircase. Follow the staircase up and the shell is inside a chest.

Executioner’s Gloves

Check the chests inside the library areas of Cainhurst Castle.

Messenger’s Gift

Can be picked up in the poison pools of Nightmare Frontier. Will look like a regular pick up orb.

Old Hunter Bone

Inside the Old Abandoned Workshop. To get to the workshop you need to kill Blood Starved Beast and then ride the elevator to the right of the Cathedral Ward lantern up. Cross a small bridge and head behind the tower to drop into a dark room where you’ll need to do some platforming down to a doorway where you can find the workshop.

Tiny Tonitrus

In the same room you find the key to the Upper Cathedral

Bloody Gem Workshop Tool

Inside a chest shortly after defeating Father Gascoige.

Rune Workshop Tool

On a corpse in a room after killing The Witch of Hemwick.

Weapons Locations

Beast Claw

Can only be found on level 2 inside the Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon.

Blade Hunter

You need to speak to Eileen the Crow before you fight Vicar Amelia and then once again a bit later outside the Cathedral Ward lantern where she will warn you that she’s hunting someone and not to get in the way. You can head to where you fought Father Gascoigne and watch the fight unfold. If she is killed, quickly loot her corpse for the Crow Hunter Badge and run for it, or if she wins, kill her while she’s weak and take it. Go back to the Hunter’s Dream and buy the weapon for 40,000 Echoes.

Burial Blade

After killing Gherman, quit the game as the final boss spawns in and load the game back up (or let it kill you). Once you’re safe inside the Hunter’s Dream, you can buy this weapon from the Bath Messengers.

Chikage

Obtain the Cainhurst Badge and buy this weapon from the Bath Messengers for 50,000 Echoes.

Hunter Axe

Can be chosen as a starting weapon or bought from the Bath Messengers for 1,100 Echoes.

Kirkhammer

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 3,000 after obtaining the Sword Hunter Badge from defeating the Cleric Beast.

Logarius’ Wheel

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 13,000 after obtaining the Wheel Hunter Badge from defeating the Martyr Logarius.

Ludwig’s Holy Blade

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 20,000 after obtaining the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge inside the Healing Church Workshop.

Reiterpallasch

Can be found inside a chest in Cainhurst Castle.

Rifle Spear

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 4,000 after obtaining the Powder Keg Hunter Badge from defeating Djura in Old Yharnam.

Saw Cleaver

Can be chosen as a starting weapon or bought from the Bath Messengers for 1,000 Echoes.

Saw Spear

Can be found on a body hanging from the rafters above Central Yharnam’s sewers (where you meet Eileen the Crow).

Stake Driver

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 8,000 after obtaining the Powder Keg Hunter Badge.

Threaded Cane

Can be chosen as a starting weapon or bought from the Bath Messengers for 1,200 Echoes.

Tonitrus

Can be found at the end of the street near the Hypogean Gaol lantern. You’ll need to be kidnapped by a Bagman to get there.

Firearms Locations

Cannon

Can be found on the rooftops in the Forbidden Woods.

Evelyn

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 16,000 after obtaining the Cainhurst Badge.

Flamesprayer

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 8,000 after speaking to Gilbert in Central Yharnam. He’s right next to the first lantern that you have to drop a ladder to reach. Alternatively, you can complete his side quest and he’ll give you it.

Hunter Blunderbuss

Can be chosen as a starting weapon or bought from the Bath Messengers for 1,700 Echoes.

Hunter Pistol

Can be chosen as a starting weapon or bought from the Bath Messengers for 1,600 Echoes.

Hunter’s Torch

Can be found in a building near the start of Old Yharnam.

Ludwig’s Rifle

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 10,000 after obtaining the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge.

Repeating Pistol

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 16,000 after obtaining the Cainhurst Badge.

Rosmarinus

Can be bought from the Bath Messengers for 60,000 after obtaining the Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge.

Torch

Can be found in Central Yharnam next to a Brick Troll (first one you come across) banging on a giant door.

Wooden Shield

Can be found on a corpse up the stairs near the Cathedral Ward Lantern.
