Trophy Guide

The Crew 2 Trophy Guide and Road Map

The Crew 2 is a superb racing game wich takes place on-road, off-road, on the water, and even in the air! With this comprehensive The Crew 2 Trophy Guide, I’ll guide you through the smoothest route to the game’s platinum trophy!

The Crew 2 Trophy Guide: Before You Begin

Online Play

You should know from the top that The Crew 2 has some online trophies for which you will need a friend who can join you on the game.

As well as the trophies, playing with a competent friend can also be greatly beneficial. If they win an event and you’re lagging behind because of an unexpected concrete block in your path, a thin tree you didn’t see coming, or some other racing game shenanigans, you will still be able to complete the event as though you had also placed in the same position as your friend.

You’ll get loot, followers, and cash equivalent to how well your friend did, too! It’s a great system that harbors co-operation and sportsmanship between you and your friends.

Difficulty

You can change the difficulty of each race by pressing on it on the map, or selecting “Change Difficulty” on the event’s card in the Activity tab of the Pause Menu.

All events are “Normal” difficulty by default, and then there’s also “Hard” and “Ace” difficulty. In order to access Hard or Ace difficulty you’ll need to beat the event on Normal difficulty first.

You will get better rewards, more money, and more followers for beating an event on a harder difficulty, but there’s no reason to play on Hard or Ace if you don’t want to. There is just one exception.

There’s a trophy called Hard Way to Hell which will require you to beat just one stage on hard difficulty, but it can be any event as is completely up to you when and where you choose to earn the trophy. You won’t really need to worry about that until Phase Four of this The Crew 2 Trophy Guide.

Phase One – Defeat 4 Boss Racers, Finish the Story

During this first phase of our The Crew 2 Trophy Guide, all you need to do is focus on challenging and defeating the four main bosses of the game, and then completing the final event.

To reach and challenge each boss, you will need to complete 50% of the events in that category; Street Racing, Offroad, Freestyle, and Pro Racing.

You can find all events on the map , but you can also view every event, categorised and neatly organised, in the “Activities” tab of the pause menu, which may be preferred by those like myself who like to approach games methodically.

Along the way to the “The Grand Finale” final event, you’ll also complete all “Live Xtrem” race events and reach “Icon” fame level. You should also earn quite a few misc trophies naturally, but we won’t worry about those for now!

While working through this phase of our Trophy Guide, you should also keep your eye out for any Photo Ops and complete those which present themselves. This will make Phase Two much easier.

Lastly, there are a few events which you must complete in order to earn the Act like a Narrative Designer trophy. Check that trophy out so that you’re aware of the important ones and can get them out of the way early.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Earn enough followers to reach Icon level.

The four trophies above will unlock naturally during this phase because you’ll need to complete so many events to reach the Grand Finale that it would be near impossible not to reach “Icon” level of fame.

Obviously, this also means that the trophies for the lower-tier fame rankings “Popular,” “Famous,” and “Star” will all be unlocked too.

You’ll later need to reach Icon Level 50, but that isnt guaranteed here, so we’ll focus on that later!

Phase Two – Complete 40 Photo Ops Events

This phase of our The Crew 2 Trophy Guide contains one of the biggest grinds in the game; essentially a collectible hunt. Therefore, a whole phase of this The Crew 2 Trophy Guide is dedicated to getting them out of the way.

Photo Mode Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Pics or it didn’t happen

Complete 40 Photo Ops.

There are 92 Photo Ops in the game, and they can be found in the “Photo Album” section of each event family of the “Activities” tab in the Pause Menu.

They will also appear on the HUD while you’re driving around and you will get a convenient prompt at the bottom of the screen whenever you are near to something worth photographing, such as the Statue of Liberty, a Shipwreck, or a Bear.

Press to enter photo mode and the Photo Op objective on the left will become highlighted in green when your target subject is appropriately in-frame.

You can use and in photo mode to adjust time, allowing you to rewind to a moment where the Photo Op requirements were fulfilled.

You will receive 2,000 Followers and 15,000 Bucks for your efforts. Once you’ve successfully taken 40 of the 92 Photo Op photos, you’ll unlock the trophy.

Trophy Image

Act Like an Art Director

Take a picture outside of any Photo Quest just for fun, because it looks good.

As well as completing Photo Ops, the Photo Mode feature can be used randomly at any time to take any photo you like. All you need to do for this trophy is open Photo Mode with and then hit to take the desired photo.

The trophy will unlock right away!

Phase Three – Icon Level 50, Max Vehicle Level, Epic Gear, and a 100,000 PT Drift

With the biggest grind out of the way during Phase Two of this The Crew Two Trophy Guide, in Phase Three we’ll focus on getting all other grinds out of the way.

Some of these, such as the Max Vehicle Level and Epic Gear trophies, may well have occurred naturally for you as early as Phase One. Others, such as the 100,000 PT Drift event score can take hours of practice to earn so… Best of luck!

Grind Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Max Out Fury Load

Reach Max Level for one of your vehicles (Main Game).

The easiest trophy in this phase, you just need to continually replace the PerfParts (Performance Parts) of any vehicle until you reach max level.

For example, max level for a standard Street Racing vehicle is 280. To reach that level, you will need to equip it with a full set of Perfparts, each level 280.

The higher your car’s performance level, the better loot you will earn. In essence, the closer you are to Level 280, the more likely you are to get Level 280 loot drops. Therefore, you should always equip the best gear you have for every event.

Once you have any vehicle upgraded to Level 280, the trophy is all yours.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Epic Win

Upgrade your vehicle with epic parts only.

When you get PerfPart drops at the end of an event, they’ll either be Green, Blue, Purple, or Yellow. The type of loot you need for this trophy is the purple “Epic” loot. You’ll need to find enough of it to equip any vehicle with an Epic PerfPart in every available slot.

Unfortunately, the trophy is not “Epic or better” so you cannot substitute purple parts you need with yellow parts you have, it just won’t work. Every slot needs to have a purple PerfPart.

This can take a long time because the loot drops are completely RNG. You’ll need to find a quick and easy event that you’re comfortable farming, or just keep playing events of the same discipline until you have the required parts for your vehicle.

I’d recommend the “Airport Terminal D” event. It’s an easy drift event, it takes just 2 minutes to complete, and you’ll need lots of practice with it anyway for Drift Like a Tester.

If you would prefer to do a racing event, though, I recommend the “Downtown L.A. South” street race. This event is quick and easy, to the point that I ended up farming it on “Ace” difficulty for an increased chance of Epic Gear drops.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Are you a God? (Say yes)

Earn enough followers to reach Icon 50 level.

This one shouldn’t be too hard because after completing the story and all of the Photo Ops you should be close to Icon Level 50. At most you could be about 10 levels away.

So, if you still need more followers the–just like the Epic Win trophy–find an event you’re happy farming for the followers such as “Airport Terminal D,” or just keep completing events at your leisure until your Icon Level reaches 50.

Once it does, this trophy will be yours.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Drift Like a Tester

Score 100.000 PTS or more in any drift event.

The drift event “Airport Terminal D” requires 107,000 points in order to win when played on Hard difficulty, making it a pretty perfect place to attempt this trophy. You’ll also get the Hard way to Hell trophy for completing an event on Hard Difficulty.

The track also has pretty consistently wide roads to drift on, which is a huge help for something like this.

To get 100,000 score and unlock this trophy, you’ll need to do the track in about 2 or 3 consistent drifts without letting your combo time out or hitting the barriers. If you manage to get one drift at around 50X combo and then a second one at about 30X combo you should have enough score by the time you’re done.

I’ve included video here of me getting this trophy. The run isn’t perfect by any means, especially after that first drift, but it’s what you’ll need to try and replicate.

A few tips:

  • Use nitrous to straighten out if you feel like you might crash
  • Don’t use the brake or handbrake unless you really need to slow down. Drift cars will drift on their own pretty naturally and will do far slower and easier-to-control drifts if you don’t use the brakes to force a hard drift.
  • Don’t go too fast, if you feel yourself getting too fast and hard-to-control, pump the brakes a bit to slow things down on the straights.

Phase Four – Online Trophies

Before we move on to the obligatory Clean Up phase of this The Crew 2 Trophy Guide, it’s time to tackle those online trophies. Grab a friend and crew up, if you didn’t get these trophies already…

Online Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
I Must Break You

Beat a friend’s highlight (best score of a friend).

Throughout the game, you’ll find coloured star icons which will record a statistic when an activitiy is performed nearby. For example, Top Speed, Ground Jump, or Ground Drift, are all examples of activities you can randomly set a score for as you pass by one of these stars.

You can find stars which a friend has set a score on by pressing on the World Map to open filters, then press , select “Highlights” to only show these star icons, and then “Friends” to limit them to only stars which your friends have set a score on.

Navigate or fast travel to one of those stars and then beat the recorded high score to unlock this trophy.

If you friend is with you, you can co-ordinate on this by having them set a low, easy score on a star they’ve never approached before, thus allowing you to easily beat it.

Don’t forget to return the favor though!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Social Butterfly

Complete an event while in a crew.

For this nice and simple trophy, you just need to complete any event with a friend (or, I guess, stranger) in your crew. You can invite people via the “Crew Management” option in the Pause Menu.

Once either of you successfully complete the event objective, you will both unlock the trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
BFF

Drive 50 km in a row in a crew.

With any other player added to your crew (Pause Menu > Crew Management > Invite), just drive 50 kilometers (or 31 miles) together.

This is not cumulative, you will need to drive this distance at one single time. Some events are even long enough for you to earn this, but it’s better to just cruise the streets/waters/skies of North America with your buddy until this trophy unlocks.

It’s a great opportunity to look out for Highlight and Skill activities on which to earn some of the other online trophies.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Ghost Bustin’ 2

Beat a rival or a friend’s ghost.

The easiest way to complete this trophy is to look for a Speed Trap skill event (yellow triangle icon with a lightning bolt at the center).

Have your friend pass through the Speed Trap at a low speed to set a score and thus generate a ghost.

Then, pass through the speed trap quicker than your friend’s ghost and the trophy will unlock!

This works for most other Skill Activities too, but the Speed Trap is an easy one to set up in a convenient way.

Phase Five – Clean Up!

Almost there now! This final phase of our The Crew 2 Trophy Guide focuses on collecting any miscellaneous trophies you might still have left.

There’s a strong chance that you have earned most of these while completing all of the other objectives in the four Phases leading up to this one, but you should peruse the trophies below and identify any you still need so you can secure yourself that Platinum!

Miscellaneous Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Coast to Coast

Complete the New York Hypercar event.

The New York Hypercar event is the first Hypercar even in the Hypercar Activities section of the Street Race family in the Activities tab. You can also find it on the map, in New York of course.

This event spans the entire width of North America, from New York all the way to San Francisco. You will need a Hypercar of at least Performance Level 210 to have a chance of winning this event and will need to finish in the top three to complete it, thus unlocking this trophy, otherwise, you’ll have to do the entire 45-minute-long race all over again!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Paint Don’t Hurt

Change the color of one vehicle in your home.

When you purchase a new vehicle for the first time, you will be able to choose what colour you want it to be. This does not count.

To unlock this trophy, you will need to go to the Pause Menu, select “Vehicles”, choose any of your vehicles and then select “Customize” and then use the “Paint” option to change the vehicle’s base color. Liveries do not count.

Once you’ve successfully changed the vehicle’s color (some vehicles, such as the “Rad Edition” De Lorean do not allow you to change their color), you will unlock this trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
The Collector

Own 30 different vehicles.

Owning 30 vehicles isn’t as tough as it sounds. There are a few that you can unlock for completing certain events as rewards. Defeating the bosses will each win you a vehicle, and you’ll be forced to buy at least one vehicle for each discipline.

Just keep spending your Bucks on vehicles to build your collection and the trophy will unlock once you have 30 total.

Note that if you purchase the The Crew 2 Season Pass, you’ll get 25 vehicles added to your collection, making huge progress on this trophy.

If you find yourself needing a few vehicles by the end of the game, just browse the catalog tab in the pause menu to locate the cheapest of the cheap, and then travel to the relevant HQ to pick them up.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Jack of all trades

Complete one Event in each discipline (Main Game).

This is a simple trophy to complete thanks to the way that all events are neatly organised in the Activities tab of the Pause Menu.

To unlock it, you’ll need to complete one event from each of the 16 disciplines. This will mean buying a lot of vehicles, but you’re going to want a few anyway for The Collector.

Here’s a list of each type of event you will need to complete, at least once. After which, the trophy will unlock:

Complete each skill type in each family (Main Game).

This trophy makes it sound like you need to complete every single Skill event in the entire game, this is not true. You just need to complete one of each type, once.

The can find the skill types in the “Skill” section of each Event Family in the “Activities” tab of the Pause Menu.

Here’s a full list of the skill types:

Hard way to Hell

Complete an event on hard difficulty.

To compete in an event on Hard difficulty, you’ll first need to complete it on Normal difficulty.

In the “Activities” tab, you can press on the “Change Difficulty” option under any event to choose switch the difficulty.

On the world map, press to select an event and then twice to change to Hard difficulty.

The Drift Event “Airport Terminal D” requires 107,000 points to win, making it perfect for the Drift Like a Tester trophy, if you do that.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Easy Rider

Earn 500 Followers in one Freestyle sequence (Freedrive).

You will need to do stunts while in Freedrive mode to unlock this trophy (doing them in events will not count towards this trophy).

You can do things like drifting, jumping, speeding, and more to earn followers whilst free-driving across North America. The easiest way to earn eanough for this trophy, though, is by using a plane.

While in an airplane vehicle, just perform four loop stunts in a row, for 150 points each, and this trophy will unlock. As simple as that!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Reality Check

You’ve spent 24 whole hours in our virtual world. We thought you should know.

Given that this game’s platinum takes well over 30 hours to earn, you should have (or be close to having) this trophy by now. Simply play for a cumulative total of 24 hours and this trophy will unlock!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Leap of Faith, No Straw

Do a 100 meter jump on a bike.

To unlock this trophy, you need to leap from a ledge or ramp which is at least 100 meters off the ground, and then land it.

You could spend time driving around looking for an opportunity to do this, but there’s actually a Motocross “Motorflix” event in which this trophy is guaranteed.

Start up the event “The Boneyard” which you can find in both the Motorflix category or the Motorcross Offroad Family category. At the start of this event, you’ll be in front of a ramp, high up above an Airplane Graveyard.

Boost over the ramp with your nitrous and the trophy will unlock!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Act Like a Game Designer

Redo the same event at least 3 times in a row.

This trophy description seems pretty straight-forward but you will actually need to complete it in a very specific way.

The trophy will not unlock if you just play the same event over and over by selecting it from the map or the activities menu. It also will not unlock if you select “Retry” from the quick menu while in the middle of an event.

To unlock the trophy, you will need to hold on the results screen at the end of any event to restart it. Complete the event 3 times, using that prompt on the results screen to restart it each time.

Don’t worry about your loot if you win, it will go to your Mailbox, accessible at any HQ.

Trophy Image

The End is Nigh

Go to the far edge of the world

Simply fly or sail as far out from the coast as you can, and the game will eventually teleport you so that you’re facing inland again. If you do this one time the trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Ride the Jewels

Drive more than 2 km in a row with the most expensive car (Main Game).

As the game has been updated a few times in the past, the most expensive car is worth well over 2 million Bucks. However, the previous title-holder for most expensive car is the Koenigsegg Regera, worth 1,701,700 Bucks.

You can still earn the trophy with that car. As an added bonus, you don’t even need to buy it!

Go to the Catalog option in the Pause Menu and select “Koenigsegg.”

Look for the Regera and then press on it to be teleported to it in the Street Race HQ. From there, hold to test drive it for free!

Then all you need to do is drive 2km and the trophy will unlock!

If you don’t quite get far enough and the trophy doesn’t unlock from your limited test drive, just test drive it again, the total is cumulative!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Act like a Narrative Designer

Unlock all the pieces and watch a full narrative reward.

There is a selection of events which must be completed in order to unlock narrative cutscenes. You can check how many of these you have by going to the Pause Menu > Profile Tab > Pilot > Narrative.

There, you’ll see all of the cutscenes you’ve already unlocked. The eighth one in each family–on the far right–is a compilation of all cutscenes in that family as one long back-to-back cutscene.

Once you have unlocked all 32 cutscenes, select one of the aforementioned far-right cutscenes to unlock this trophy. You can skip the cutscene and still earn the trophy.

So, how do you unlock them all? Well, some events in each family will have special cover art in a specific comic-like art style, rather than the usual generic cover art, this indicates that there will be a cutscene involved in the event, which you’ll need to complete to get the full story out of it.

The highlighted one “The Sleeper” is an example of a story mission cover art. The other art styles are not. It’ll make more sense when you’re playing through them.

I’ve compiled a list of those events and which discipline you can find them in. Just complete them all to have the full set:
