Batu ta Batu Trophy Guide and Road Map

Welcome to our Batu ta Batu Trophy Guide. Batu ta Batu is an easy (once you get the hang of it) puzzle game based around putting coloured boxes into squares of a specific size. This simple game’s platinum can be earned in as little as 30 minutes, but due to some multiplayer trophies, you will need a second controller.

After a relatively short stint in Endless mode and a little cleanup with that second controller, you can add this plat to your collection in no time.

Phase One – Play Endless Mode

In this first phase, you’ll need to play Endless Mode until you have 15,000 points.

There is a 3-minute time limit and by consistently making good “Big Batu” combinations, you can increase the amount of time available, making that 15,000 high score more possible.

It’s likely you won’t achieve this in your first few stabs at the mode, but with a little practice you should be able to rack up that many points.

Phase Two – Cleanup and Local Co-op

Now it is time to collect any trophies you didn’t already earn during the last phase. Use the guide below to see how and where to earn each trophy.

You’ll also be getting those multiplayer trophies in this phase, so get your second controller ready.

Miscellaneous Trophies

Already a veteran

Play Endless 5 times

If you somehow got 15,000 score within your first 5 attempts at Endless mode (I sure didn’t), then you’ll need to play it a few more times. Once you’ve played Endless mode a total of 5 times, this trophy will unlock.

You can just load up Endless mode and then wait 3 minutes for the timer to run out.

Go BIG!

Remove a 2×2 full grid Batu in Endless

It’s extremely likely you earned this during the first phase, given how vital making “Big Batu” is for extending the timer, but you essentially want to make a square of a single colour at least 2×2 in size. Once you then submit that square into it’s corresponding colour, the trophy will unlock.

At the start of an Endless run, when the grid is still just 2×2 is a perfect place to do this.

The top colour will have a secondary colour that you can switch to by holding and pressing . Horde blocks of that secondary colour until they are all you have left, and then submit the full 2×2 Big Batu by switching the top colour and you’ll unlock the trophy with ease.

Big Bang

Explode a full grid Batu in Endless

For this trophy you will need a bomb. You can use bombs by pressing . Once you have one, as indicated by a number in the bottom left, make a “Big Batu” of at least 2×2 in size.

Now, press on that Big Batu to blow it up, thus earning this trophy.

Finish an Endless game with 0 bombs in the counter

To unlock this trophy you need to have used all of your bombs by the time the timer ends. The easiest way to do this would be to just use a bomb everytime you get one while playing one of your Endless mode attempts. If you have 0 bombs when the timer ends, this trophy will unlock.

Get 30 bombs in Endless

Once you finally have enough practice to reach 15,000 score in Endless, it’s very likely that you’ll be holding onto quite a lot of bombs, meaning this trophy could come naturally. Essentially, you need to be holding on to 30 bombs at any given point during Endless.

Given that you don’t get any score for using bombs, their only real use is to get you out of tricky situations where a batu cannot be moved, so hold on to any bombs you don’t absolutely need to use and you shouldn’t have any trouble earning this trophy.

On the right track

Get perfect score in one level

To unlock this trophy, you first need to purchase the “Less Batus Than” game mode from the menu. It costs just 250 coins and you’ll have the opportunity to unlock it after playing Endless mode just one time.

In this game mode, you can earn this trophy on the first level, just keep replaying the first stage until you get it. The trophy can be earned from a single move. All you need to do is swap some batu in such a way that you end up with a 3×1 block and a 2×1 block, as shown in the gif below.

Multiplayer Trophies

Party time!

Finish a multiplayer game the first time

This trophy will be earned for playing a Multiplayer game for the first time. You can simply load one up and player 2’s timer run down until the trophy unlocks.

It’d be a good idea to get “Crappy Delivery” during this time too. Two birds with one stone and all that.

Send 4 crappy Batus at once in multiplayer

In order to give a “Crappy” Batu to another player, you need to make and submit a Big Batu on your side.

This will lock one of their Batu so that they cannot move it for a short period of time. Do this 4 times in a row, and the trophy will unlock.

Get all the trophies

Provided you were able to earn the other trophies, this platinum is all yours.
