Trophy Guide
What the Golf Trophy Guide and Road Map for PlayStation 4 & 5
Welcome to our What the Golf Trophy Guide. What the Golf is an extremely quirky collection of physics-based minigames which all center around you essentially setting direction and power for a myriad of different objects.
For trophy hunters, there’s an extensive campaign of around 6-8 hours of entertaining content, followed by a daily challenge grind which can be finagled a bit via the System Clock. All in all, the overall experience is pleasant, enjoyable, and recommended!
Phase One | Complete the Main Campaign
To kick things off, just work through the main campaign. You can do this however you like. For example, I chose to master each flag as and when I reached them, effectively earning a crown on every minigame right up until I beat the final boss. You, however, may prefer to tackle the base objective of each minigame first, and then use the Chapter Select navigation in the pause menu to mop things up in phase two of this What the Golf Trophy Guide.
However you choose to proceed, you’ll earn a wealth of unmissable trophies in this first easygoing phase.
I should warn you to take note of any terminals you come across on your travels. They can all be found inside the Golf Lab and none of them are difficult to find, but there’s a trophy for activating them all, so be sure to hit them all at least once. Maybe even twice, just to be sure (the trophy is a bit buggy).
Unmissable Campaign Trophies
HOLE
Complete the first Hole
You will unavoidably receive the “HOLE” trophy after completing the first hole of your What the Golf Campaign.
Welcome to the golf lab!
Enter the golf laboratory
After the first few introductory levels, you’ll enter the “Golf Lab.” This area acts as a hub world around which the rest of the game is centered. From here, you’ll access other levels and track your overall progress. Upon arriving there for the first time, you’ll receive the “Welcome to the golf lab!” trophy.
Computer09
Defeat Computer09
The Golf Lab consists of several areas which are separated by a computer. To get past each computer and access the parts of the lab beyond them, you’ll need to defeat them by completing their golf puzzles.
Once you’ve beat Computer09—the first such Computer-boss—you’ll receive the Computer09 trophy!
Computer08

You’ll unavoidably receive the Computer08 trophy upon defeating the Computer boss in Level 08 of the Golf Lab.

You’ll unavoidably receive the Computer01 trophy upon defeating the semifinal Computer boss in the Golf Lab. This is not a typo, there’s no Computer02 trophy.
Computer00
Defeat Computer00
You’ll unavoidably receive the Computer00 trophy upon defeating the final Computer boss in the Golf Lab.
Final Hole
Defeat the golf boss!
Upon completing the final level of the Golf Lab via the Main Campaign, you will receive the “Final Hole” trophy unavoidably.
The End?
Make it to the ending
You will unavoidably receive the “The End?” trophy upon reaching the final room of the Golf Lab, which contains a flag you can use to play the credits.
Phase Two | Main Campaign Cleanup
As you may have noticed already, every level can be completed three times under three different conditions, and completing all three versions of a flag will result in you receiving a crown for that level.
Each section of the lab has a locked door which can only be opened if you have a crown on every flag in that area.
When you do, you can enter the room and collect the item in the chest. That will essentially be your goal for this entire phase of our What the Golf Trophy Guide—unless you’ve already earned them as you made your way through the campaign originally.
To backtrack back through the lab, it is easiest to use the chapter selection menu under . Here, you can browse the full list of chapters, see how many are left, and track how many levels you’ve completed 100%.

Secret Collectible Trophies
Secret Golf
Shhhh...
In Level 08 of the Golf Lab, go to the Football Field area in the bottom-right. On the right side of this area, there’s some tall grass you can push through into a locker room. In that locker room is a chest that, when opened, will unlock the “Secret Golf” trophy.
El Duderino Golf
Shhh!
When you reach Level 06 of the Lab, there’s a small bathroom on the right-hand side. At the far-right end of said bathroom, there’s a cubicle with a broken toilet. You can go through the pipe attached to this toilet and it will bring you out into a secret area.
In said secret area, there’s a chest which contains one of several secret collectibles. Upon opening this chest, the “El Duderino Golf” trophy is all yours.
Kitchen Golf
Not in MY kitchen!
In Chapter 5, when you pass through the gateway that turns you into a slice of bread, look on the left side of this canteen, near the vending machines. There, you’ll see a lone chest in the corner, near one of the flags.
Simply open it to retrieve the collectible inside as well as this Kitchen Golf trophy!
Down to earth
Grounded in reality.
Secret Saw
Use the Saw
When you get to Level 03 of the Golf Lab, you’ll notice a chest that you can’t get to due to some plants. Continue through the Level until you reach the end of area 03A, where your ball can be transformed into a spinning blade that cuts grass.
While in this form, return to the start of Level 03 and use your new form to cut away the tall grass so that you can reach the chest. Touch the chest to open it and claim the treasure inside alongside this “Secret Saw” trophy!
Recreational Golf
The Isle of Golf
The collectible you need for the “Recreational Golf” trophy is technically found in Level 05 of the Golf Lab, but you cannot reach it until Level 02.
When you reach Level 02, you’ll enter a small rowing boat, which is how you navigate this area.
Go to the bottom-right corner of Level 02 and you’ll see a narrow channel of water leading down off the screen.
Follow it and it will lead you all the way back to a small room in Level 05.
Collect the treasure in the chest on the island in this room to receive the Recreational Golf Trophy and its associated collectible.
All terminals
Hit all the log terminals
All throughout the Golf Lab, there are several terminals you can hit with your ball to activate a golfing tip and/or story-based log. To unlock the “All terminals” trophy, you need to hit and activate each one at least once.
They are only found in the Golf Lab and are all placed in very obvious positions, so none of them are difficult to find. If you don’t earn this naturally, use Chapter Select via to revisit every area and hit each terminal until the trophy unlocks.
# | Lab Area | Detail |
---|---|---|
1 | 8A | In a small room after entering a pipe. |
2 | 8D | In the small room with the checkered floor at the top of the area. |
3 | 7 | After passing Computer08, it’s in a room on the left. |
4 | 7B | To the right of the bowling alley bar. |

6 | 6 | After passing Computer07, it’s in a room right of the big water fountain. |

8 | 5 | After passing Computer06, it’s in a room to the right. |
9 | 5C | In this area there’s a small room in the upper-right containing invisible obstacles. Make your way past the obstacles to the computer terminal in the upper-right corner. |
10 | 3A | At the top of the corridor above the middle sections. |
11 | 2 | On the island at the far left, against the wall. |
12 | 1 | In the bottom-right, near the coastline, past the island. |
13 | 1 | In the top-left, squeezed between the gated enclosure and the wall. |
14 | 0 | After passing Computer01, look for this terminal on the right side. |
15 | 0 | After passing Computer01, continue through area 0 and you’ll find this terminal on the right side of one of the rooms. |
16 | 0 | After passing Computer00, look for this in the top-right corner of one of the subsequent rooms. |
17 | 0 | You will eventually reach an area with ventilatrion shafts you need to pass through. Ignore them for now and head all the way to the top of this area to find the final terminal behind a counter. |
It can be a bit buggy and won’t unlock when it should for a lot of people, including myself, but just keep running laps of the lab and hitting terminals until the trophy pops.
Completion Trophies
50%
Finish 50% of the main campaign
At the center of most Levels in the Golf Lab, near to where each Computer Boss is, you’ll find a red portal.
Going through this red portal will teleport you to a small collectible room from where you can admire all of the rewards you’ve successfully collected from chests.
Along the right-hand side of this room are handy portals you can use to access every level of the Golf Lab, and along the top wall are three doors.
These doors will only unlock as you make more and more progress in the campaign. At 50%, you can open the left-most door. At 75% the middle door can be opened, and at 100% you can enter the final door.
Each of these doors has a trophy tied to it; 50%, 75% and 100%. When you’re done with your Main Campaign Cleanup, return to this room and open each door to claim your trophies.

Phase Three | Other Game Modes & Misc Trophies
Now that you’ve completed everything that the Main Campaign has to offer, it’s time to step back out into the game’s Main Menu, from where you can explore some of the other game modes.
Essentially, you will just be completing Daily Challenges via the Daily Course option until you’ve complete a Daily Challenge on at least 18 separate days, as well as each day of the week. Don’t worry, you can just change your system clock!
Other than that, there’s a few misc trophies that require things like launching objects a total of 10,000 times or playing for a total of 1o hours. You can replay the Main Campaign to farm these, or you can use some of the other game modes and work on some DLC trophies while you’re there.
Other Game Mode Trophies
Daily Golf

In the lobby area that acts as the main hub, to the right of the entrance to the Main Campaign, you’ll see a small node called “Daily Course.” Hit your ball into this flag to access it.

- Start by making sure the game is open, boot it up and do today’s daily challenge.
- Next, go to the System Settings on your console and change the date forward by one day.
- Close the game, ensuring it was open while you changed the clock.
- Load the game back up again and you should see a different challenge at the Daily Course!
