Trophy Guide
The Artful Escape Trophy Guide and Road Map for PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5
Welcome to our The Artful Escape Trophy Guide. The Artful Escape is a beautiful 2.5D musical adventure that explores the story of a young musician, trapped in the shadow of his Uncle’s fame, trying to find his own sound and learn to embrace himself.
It’s sadly quite a short game but has a lot to offer with its incredible visuals, soundtrack, and story.
Phase One – Complete the Game & All Semi-Missable Trophies
Most of the trophies in The Artful Escape are unmissable, there’s just a small handful that you will need to look out for as you play, which you can find listed here.
Try to collect them all as you play by following this The Artful Escape Trophy Guide, but if you happen to miss a couple then there’s nothing to worry about, just hop to the required Chapter via Chapter Select!
Unmissable Story Trophies
Made it home
Arrive at Francis’ house
After the game’s short introduction, Francis will head back to his home town, Calypso, which you’ll get to explore on foot as you make your way to his house, on the third level of Calypso.
This is totally unmissable and you can’t progress the game without reaching his home. Once inside, the Made it home trophy will unlock.
The journey begins
Leave Lightman’s workshop
At the end of the chapter called “Lightman’s” you’ll come to a doorway leading to the next chapter. This trophy will unlock before you step through.
Complete Heliotromms
Jam with Tromms
Complete the chapter titled “Dancing with Tromms” and the Complete Heliotromms trophy will unlock.
New Threads
Create a custom outfit
During the chapter “The Ruby Cola,” you will enter “Frida’s Closet,” a mall-like area where you must visit every shop one by one to construct your new stage outfit.
Once you’re done, leave the closet, and talk to Frida on the Ruby Cola, the New Threads trophy will unlock.
Complete GlimmerDimm
Jam with Glimmer
Finish the chapter titled “The Warp Turtle” and the Complete GlimmerDimm trophy will unlock at the end.
Amp Jammer
Complete all amp landa jams
Amp Landa Jams are mini Jams located throughout the game, which you need to complete in order to progress. You can trigger them by jumping and pushing to slam down onto Stage Pads.
Completing the Jam will change the environment in some way, allowing you to progress.
Complete every Amp Landa Jam to unlock the Amp Jammer trophy. This should happen naturally after the Amp Landa Jam in the chapter titled “Listening Outpost”.
Complete Hyperion
Jam with the GlamourGonn
Complete the Glamourgonn Jam Session in the Chapter titled “The Glamourgonn” to unlock the Complete Hyperion Trophy.
Guitar Legend
Complete the game
After you’ve unlocked Complete Hyperion, there’s just one final chapter to complete in order to finish the game and unlock the Guitar Legend trophy!
Semi-Missable Trophies
The trophies below are slightly missable as you’ll need to keep an eye out for opportunities to earn them and may overlook them when playing blind. They can all be easily attempted again via Chapter Select if you miss any, though.
I’ve listed them in chronological order, however, so that you can attempt to earn them as you play.
Light it up
Light up every building and area of Calypso
In Calypso near the start of the game, after you have unlocked Made it home, you will eventually leave Francis’ house for a meeting with a late-night visitor, who will give you a guitar. You can play your guitar by holding .
Starting from Francis’ house on the right end of the third level of Calypso, make your way as far left as you can, while holding . The surrounding environment will begin to light up in response to the music.
Take the shuttle down to the second tier and repeat the same thing from left to right.
Finally, ride down to the bottom tier of Calypso and do the same again from right to left until the entirety of Calypso is lit up, and the Light it up trophy unlocks.
Remember to go past the shuttle on each level, at both ends, especially on the second level.
If you miss this trophy, load up the chapter titled “Tuning into a New Dimension” to attempt it again.
Snowman
Jam with the snowman
In the chapter “Into the Heliotromms”, after your first Jam on the Stage Pad (indicated by the musical key) and a short sliding section, you will come to a dead stop thanks to a log in your way.
There, stop and look for the snowman nearby. Hold while to the right of the Snowman to jam with him, unlocking the Snowman trophy.
How’d you get up there?
Land on top of the archway after the big jelly
This trophy is possible only during the GlimmerDimm Beach chapter. As you make your way to the right, look out for a very big jelly blob on the ground.
Immediately after it, there’s a much smaller jelly.
This smaller jelly bounces you up to a platform with a small stone arch on it.
To unlock “How’d you get up there?” you need to jump and hit to slam down onto the smaller jelly. Immediately after you bounce up from that, hit to boost even further upwards.
This will rocket you up into the air, high enough to land on top of the stone arch, unlocking the trophy.
Stage Fright
Don’t do anything for 3 minutes during a jam
There will be a great many opportunities to earn the Stage Fright trophy throughout the game.
Whenever you are doing one of the main Jam Sessions, on the first Stage Pad in “Into the Heliotromms” for example, the Musical Key will be visible somewhere on-screen.
While this key is visible, put your controller down and simply wait for three minutes.
After three minutes has passed, the trophy will unlock.
Optional Phase Two – Clean Up Remaining Semi-Missable Trophies
If you’ve managed to beat the game but missed one of the Semi-Missable Trophies, not to worry. You can simply use Chapter Select to jump back into any chapter you need. Each of the Semi-Missable Trophies in this The Artful Escape Trophy Guide lists the Chapter you need to revisit.
