Scarlet Nexus Trophy Guide and Road Map
Welcome to our Scarlet Nexus Trophy Guide for PS4 & PS5. In this guide, you will find strategies and tips for unlocking every trophy on your way to the platinum. We have broken the journey up into easily digestible phases with expert information packed into each one. With this, anyone should be able to conquer this game and its challenges.
Scarlet Nexus Trophy Guide: Before You Begin
Bond Episodes
Scarlet Nexus lets you hang out with your teammates during Standby phases. After almost every phase, you will enter a Standby phase where you’re free to roam the Hideout and Suoh. You can complete quests, or more importantly, trigger Bond Episodes with your teammates. Inside the Hideout, teammates will have a link icon above their heads, indicating they have a Bond Episode available.
Additionally, you can receive Brain Messages which will also trigger some Bond Episodes. Ensure you tour the Hideout and check in with each teammate and respond to all your Brain Messages in each Standby phase.
Kasane & Yuito
Scarlet Nexus features two main characters that you can choose from. You will need to play through both of their stories, but it’s entirely up to you as to which order you decide to play them.
The difference between the two, besides their stories being different with some crossover, is that they have different combat styles. Kasane uses floating blades that she controls with her Psychokinesis to deal damage, making her most effective at medium range. Yuito uses a katana which makes him better at close range. Both characters use Psychokinesis to supplement their combat.
I thought Kasane was more interesting so I chose her story first and, as such, have written the guide with that in mind.
Stage One – Complete Kasane’s Story
During this stage of our Scarlet Nexus Trophy Guide, you will focus on completing Kasane’s story (If you chose to play as Yuito first, take note of the Knowledge of the Past trophy as you can only unlock it as Yuito).
It’s recommended to see every Bond Episodes during this stage at the least, though it would be much easier on yourself if you also gave every gift to all teammates and increase their Bond Level 6.
It would be best to complete as many quests as possible as you need to complete 30 across both playthroughs. Both Kasane and Yuito have 34 quests each for a total of 68, so you can choose to tackle 15 of the easiest quests for both characters for an easier time.
There are a handful of combat-related trophies that can also be unlocked during this playthrough—some of them will unlock naturally—though these two can also be spread across both playthroughs.
After the credits roll, you will be asked to make a Clear Save at the very end of the game. Choose an empty slot and return to the Main Menu. You can now choose EX New Game which is Scarlet Nexus’ way of saying New Game+. This is how you keep your items, EXP, resources, and money across playthroughs.
Stage One Trophies

Scarlet Guardian
Completed Phase 0
Will unlock after defending the city against a minor Other attack and meeting up with your platoon for the first time.

Fashion Debut
Changed your Visual Equipment for the first time. *Does not include add-ons
You can change your Visual Equipment in the start/options menu . Navigate to the Equipment tab with
, or
, and press
to switch to “Visuals”. The first Visual Equipment you get will likely be Kyoka’s Charm from her Bond episode in Phase 1 Standby.

Collector
Used Item Exchange for the first time. *Does not include add-ons
During Phase 1 Standby, you will be introduced to Item Exchanging for the first time. While completing missions and quests, Kasane and Yuito can pick up “data items” related to Others and the environment. You can then trade these data items for various items at the shop.

Everyone’s Ally
Completed a quest for the first time
During the start of “Phase 2 Broken, Scattered Days”, you will notice some black diamond shapes on the map. These are NPCs with available quests. Completing one will earn you this trophy. You can track your quests and hand them in via the Story tab in the start/options menu. You can also hand them in once complete via the same menu.

Firce Psychokinesis User
Threw 100 objects with psychokinesis
During combat, you can use to use Psychokinesis to throw objects at enemies. Since both Kasane and Yuito are Psychokinesis users, you should have thrown 100 objects before you finish “Phase 2 Broken, Scattered Days”.

Other Nemesis
Used the Brain Crush on Others 20 times
In combat, enemies will have 2 bars above them. The red bar is their health and the yellow bar is “Crush” gauge. Once the Crush gauge has been reduced to zero, you can press to initiate a “Brain Crush”. The best way to reduce a Crush gauge is to use Rush/Psychokinesis follow-up attacks.

Gifts
Give a gift to an ally for the first time. *Does not include add-ons
During Phase 2 Standby, you can start giving gifts to your friends. You will already have “Tool Set” and “Tortoise Shell Glasses” in your inventory. Give the Tool Set to Gemma, or the Tortoise Shell Glasses to Shiden to unlock this trophy. You will have to give all gifts

Helping Hand
Revived by an ally for the first time
When your health reaches zero and you die, there is a chance that one of your teammates will revive you at the last second. This is random, but you can attempt it easily by making a save before a fight and letting the enemy kill you until you are revived by a teammate.
Also see Friendship.

Friendship
Revived allies 5 times
This trophy can actually be quite troublesome if you’re playing on Easy as the enemies don’t hit very hard. If you’ve reached Phase 11 and haven’t had the opportunity for this revives, I recommend switching your difficulty to Normal or Hard.
When a teammate is downed, approach them and hold when the prompt appears to revive them.

Power of Observation
Successfully performed 20 perfect dodges
You can dodge in combat by pressing . If you time it right, you will trigger a perfect dodge which slows time for a few seconds while you counter with a follow-up attack. The dodging mechanic in Scarlet Nexus isn’t great and you will find it hard to trigger a perfect dodge on purpose, though if you use dodge enough you will unlock this trophy almost by accident.

Seasoned Psychokinesis User
Performed 50 successful Special Object Follow-Up attacks
Follow-Up attacks are combos. When you melee an enemy with or
, you can press
to initiate a Psychokinesis Follow-Up. Similarly, you can trigger a Rush Follow-Up attack after using a Psychokinesis attack
and pressing
immediately after.
A third Follow-Up attack exists called “Special Object Follow-Up.” As you play Scarlet Nexus, you will have noticed and utilized Special Object attacks before. Special Object attacks are triggered by holding . To trigger a Special Object Follow-Up attack, melee an enemy with
, and/or
, and then hold
. This only works when a Special Object is nearby.

Wheels Gone Wild
Defeated 5 enemies with 1 bus
During “Phase 3 Fated to Move Upon Awakening”, you can hold to ride a bus during the highway to Kunad section. While riding the bus, hit at least 5 enemies. There is a time limit on how long you can ride the bus, but it’s pretty lenient. You can end the bus ride by pressing
a second time; end the ride at a group of 3 or more enemies and you can also snag Cunning Brain Crash.

Cunning Brain Smash
Defeated 3 enemies at the same time with Brain Crush
A Brain Crush occurs when you deplete an enemy’s Crush gauge to zero, effectively stunning them, and you press . Scarlet Nexus neglects to mention that, if you have multiple enemies with depleted Crush gauges in your field of view, you can initiate a Brain Crush on them all with a single press of
.
An easier way to get this trophy is during “Phase 3 Fated to Move Upon Awakening” while on the highway to Kunda. You will eventually encounter some buses which you can ride by holding . Ride the bus to a group of at least 3 enemies and press
a second time to slam the bus down on them, killing them all simultaneously.

Trusted Ally
Initiated a guardian vision for the first time
As you build up your teammates bond, you will earn various bonuses. At Bond level 2, you will unlock Guardian Vision. Guardian Visions trigger randomly when Kasane, or Yuito take damage. When Guardian Vision triggers, a teammate will negate/absorb the damage for you.

Protect!
Stopped in front of the OSF poster in the hideout
After Arashi joins Kasane’s team in Phase 3, there will be two posters of her hanging in the gym section of the hideout. Once you reached Phase 4 Standby, head to the gym and stand in front of the posters for upwards of 30 seconds.
Yuito can also unlock this trophy once Arashi has joined his team in Phase 9.

Expanded Brain Functionality
Learned all the skills in one of the Brain Map categories
This is easily unlocked during your first playthrough as you’ll have more than enough BP to max out at least one of the trees. Though you can continue to unlock the Brain Map in your second playthrough.

The Place Beyond the Pain
Used the SAS over 100 times
In combat, you can hold and press
,
,
, or
to borrow your teammates powers. This is an important mechanic and you should be using it as much as you can, if you do then this trophy will be unmissible for you.

Suoh Incident
The Suoh Incident occurred
This is part of the story and cannot be missed.

Power of Nexus
Activated 4 different Combo Visions in 1 combo
Once you have unlocked 4 teammates’ Combo Visions, hold and press each of the face buttons to execute 4 Combo Visions in a row.

Receiver of Protection
Initiated Assault Visions 20 times
Once you reach Bond level 4 with a teammate, you unlock Assault Vision. Once unlocked, there is a random chance during battle that a button prompt will appear on-screen to initiate an Assault Vision. Pressing + [Circle] when the prompt appears will let your teammate unleash a powerful attack. You must do this 20 times.

Brain Field Expert
Raised the EXP bonus to the maximum
In Phase 5 The Point of No Return, Kasane will learn how to use Brain Field which is a continuation of Brain Drive. As you defeat enemies, the Brain Drive meter will fill up and activate. Whilst in Brain Drive you will begin to build up a multiplier which can be seen on-screen to the right; Brain Drive has a maximum EXP multiplier of x1.50, though you will need an EXP multiplier of x1.80 for this trophy.
Once you have reached x1.50 in Brain Drive, press +
together to activate Brain Field. In Brain Field, you can continue to increase your EXP multiplier to the maximum x1.80.

One Lost in Madness
Ran out of time in brain field
Inside Brain Field ( +
), a counter will be counting down. When it reaches zero, Kasane/Yuito’s brain will begin to overload and you have to press
+
to exit before you die. However, for this trophy you have to let yourself die. This can’t be done during the Brain Field tutorial due to the game giving you infinite health so you must attempt it an a later battle.
You can potentially stack this trophy with You Are Not Alone.

You Are Not Alone
Saved inside the brain field for the first time
If you let the timer inside Brain Field reach zero, Kasane/Yuito will begin to die. Let it happen and a teammate will randomly save you at the last second. This didn’t trigger for me at all during boss battles, but in regular fights it happened a few times. Make a save during a Standby phase, head to an area with enemies and trigger Brain Field once when you can and attempt this trophy.

One Will
Gathered all party members
You will get access to all party members during Phase 9 Protecting Lives and Protected Lives.

Baki-s
Everyone wore Baki heads
During Phase 9 Standby you can buy a Baki Head visual items from the vendor inside the Hideout. Apply this Baki Head to all party members, including Kasane and Yuito, and the trophy will unlock.

Mighty Soldier
Defeated 1,000 enemies
This should unlock during Phase 10 of Kasane/Yuito’s story providing you’ve been doing quests and farming for exchange materials otherwise it will unlock naturally during your second paythrough.

Companionship
Reached Bond Level 6 with an ally
Your bond with teammates will be influenced by how often you have them in your squad during missions, but mostly from giving them gifts and seeing their Bond Episodes. By Phase 11 you should have at least one teammates reach Bond Level 6 naturally providing you’ve seen all their Bond Episodes and been giving them gifts during every Standby phase.

Master of the Psionic Space
Finished off 50 enemies with the Brain Field
Once you unlock the ability to use Brain Field by pressing +
, use it to kill 50 enemies. Your Brain Drive and Brain Field gauges fill up pretty fast so don’t try to hold on to your Brain Field.

Kins Millionaire
Collected over 200 thousand kins
Providing you haven’t been spending your Kins, this trophy will be practically unmissible as Phase 12 will reward you with around 100,000 Kins as you fight your way through the “dungeon”. Still, if you didn’t manage to collect 200,000 Kins in your first playthrough, your level, money, and items carry over to EX New Game so you can continue to grind Kins.

Collection Freak
Exchanged 100 types of items at shops.*Does not include add-ons
You can exchange the Other and Environmental data at the vendor for various items. You’ll likely be at least halfway to 100 items exchanged at the end of the story if you have been giving gifts to your teammates. Head to the vendor and exchange data for as many Visual Items as you can since you need to acquire 100 Visual Items for Fashionista.

Fashionista
Collected 100 attachments. *Does not include add-ons
Just before fighting Karen in Phase 12, make a backup save and buy all of the Visual Items from the shop. This by itself won’t be enough so you’ll have to supplement the rest with exchanging material data at the vendor for the remaining Visual Items. Once you’ve unlocked the trophy, you can reload your save if you’d prefer to keep your Kins and material data.

Conclusion of Millenia
Finished the last battle against Karen
You will fight Karen at the end of Phase 12 as part of the story.
You can only get this trophy as Kasane. Bond episodes become available during specific times in the Story. The first Bond episodes that become available are Kyoko and Yuito’s during Phase 1 Standby.

---|---|---|
Episode 1 (automatic) | Phase 1 Standby | Hideout (automatic) |
Episode 2 | Phase 6 Standby | Brain Message |
Episode 3 | Phase 9 Standby | Hideout |
Episode 4 | Phase 10 Standby | Hideout |
Episode 5 | Phase 11 Standby | Hideout |

To the Unknown Future
Reached the 1st playthrough ending
This will be the final trophy you unlock during your first playthrough.
Stage Two – Complete EX New Game with Yuito
During this stage of our Scarlet Nexus Trophy Guide, you will be selecting “EX New Game” from the main menu and choosing your Clear Save data from your first playthrough. This time, choose Yuito—or Kasane if you played as Yuito first—and work through the story.
Just like your first playthrough, your priority should be giving all gifts to your teammates and seeing their Bond Episodes during the Standby phases.
You should also finish working on side quests to reach 30 completed quests if you didn’t manage to do that during your first playthrough.
Keep in mind that during Phase 7 of Yuito’s story, you will need to collect all Mysterious Text Data from the Old OSF Hospital. This is possibly the only true missable trophy of Scarlet Nexus as if you fail to collect them all, you will need to do another playthrough as Yuito to get another shot at collecting them. Check Knowledge of the Past for a detailed breakdown of where each Mysterious Text Data can be found.
Stage Two Trophies

Collecting Fragments of History
Started a new game with a different main character after beating the game
After you finish your first playthrough, you will be asked to create a “Clear Save” and then be returned to the main menu. Select “EX New Game” and choose the other main character i.e. you want to choose Yuito, if you played as Kasane first.

Owner of an Excellent Brain
Learned all the skills on the Brain Map
You’ll likely be very close to finishing the Brain Map by the time you end your first playthrough. You can continue to unlock nodes in the Brain Map during your next playthrough if you choose “Ex New Game” from the main menu.

Knowledge of the Past
Collected all Mysterious Text Data
During Phase 7 of Yuito’s story, you will head to the Old OSF Hospital (your second visit) to try and help Nagi. Whilst in the OSF Hospital, you can find 10 Mysterious Text Data. You can’t go back here once you finish this phase, so make sure to collect them when you can. You can follow our Mysterious Text Data Locations Guide to make things easier.

Heroic OSF
Completed 30 quests
This can be done in a single playthrough, though it’s much easier to spread it across both playthroughs as the quests can become pretty tricky later in the game. Both Kasane and Yuito have 34 quests each for a total of 68 so it’s recommended to complete 15 of the easiest quest for each character.

Link-Expert
Activated all Combo Visions
You will get access to the whole team in Phase 9 of Kasane/Yuito’s story. You only need to trigger all their Combo Visions +
,
,
,
once they get to Bond level 2, however, you also need to trigger Kasane and Yuito’s Combo Vision, which means you can only get this trophy during your second playthrough.

Give all gifts to all allies. *Does not include add-ons
During Phase 11 of your second playthrough, check with the Vendor to see if you have given all gifts to your teammates. You will need to have also given every gift to all teammates during your first playthrough for this trophy.
You can see which gifts you have given to each teammates by the tick in the top-right corner of their faces on the vendor screen or via the item menu.

Tightly Wound Bond
Reached Bond Level 6 with all allies
This should unlock once you’ve seen every Bond Episode and given all gifts to your teammates. If you still have some teammates at Bond level 5 before you launch Phase 12, take a moment to give them gifts with yellow or red hearts to get them to level 6.

Suppressor of All Enemies
Completed the Enemy Compendium. *Does not include add-ons
You can view the enemy compendium from the start/options screen in the Library tab. Kasane/Yuito have their own specific enemies in their stories so you can only get this trophy from playing through both stories.
