Trophy Guide

Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS4 and PS5 Trophy Guide and Road Map

Welcome to our Spider-Man: Miles Morales Trophy Guide.

Before You Begin

You can play through the game on any difficulty you like, as there are no difficulty trophies.

This game’s Platinum Trophy will require two playthroughs; you’ll need to complete the game once, and then a second time in New Game Plus. It’s up to you if you decide you want to earn all the trophies in your first or second playthrough, but it’s likely that fully upgrading Miles and buying all of his gear upgrades will be a much smoother and easier process if done in New Game Plus, since the progress will carry over.

I recommend clearing the map of side content every time something new is available. This way, you’ll be heading into every main mission with all possible resources at your disposal, and a considerably upgraded Spider-Man, which will obviously help to make combat easier.

Phase One – Complete the Spider-Man Miles Morales Main Campaign Trophies

While I do recommend you do as much side-content as possible – as soon as it’s available – your main objective for this phase is just to complete all of your main objectives and reach the end of the game’s main story.

Make sure you familiarise yourself with the below missable trophies before proceeding, so that you can attempt to avoid missing them…

Semi-Missable Trophies

There’s a couple of trophies in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide that you can actually miss if you’re not careful. However, as you need to do a New Game Plus playthrough anyway, you’ll get a second chance to earn them then. Additionally, once you’ve completed the game, you can replay missions via the Missions tab in the menu.

Trophy Image
Like a Rhino In A China Shop

Smash into 15 breakable objects while steering Rhino through the shopping mall

Very early in the game, you’ll find yourself travelling through a shopping mall. During this segment, try to hit 15 breakable objects and this trophy is yours.

Trophy Image
Competitive Spirit

Beat Phin at the rocket launch mini-game

During the final mission at Oscorp Science Center, you’ll get to play through a flashback scenario. Head from the Sealife exhibit to the Space exhibit and look for the Rocket Ship exhibit at the back of the room. Head over to the console and press to begin the Rocket Launch minigame.

All you need to do is mash and fill up the meter before the timer runs down. If your rocket goes higher than Phin’s, the trophy will pop!

Unmissable Story Trophies

The following trophies in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide can all be earned by simply completing the game’s main missions and don’t require any additional effort, so pay no mind to them as they pop naturally while you play. Main objectives are indicated on the HUD by a yellow triangle.

Phase Two – Miles Morales Side Content and Character Progression Trophies

You should have completed a good amount of the side-content and upgraded Miles quite a bit during your initial main story playthrough, so the goal now in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide is to finish what you started and mop up anything which might be left over.

You may wish to do some of these things in your New Game Plus playthrough.

Map Completion Trophies

As you progress through the game, various side activities will begin cropping up on the map. Via which, you can set waypoints to each one, making them all very easy to locate and complete. Side activities are fund in the following forms:

  • Time Capsules
  • Postcards
  • Underground Caches
  • Roxxon Labs
  • Underground Hideouts
  • Sound Samples
  • Spider-Training Challenges (Combat, Stealth, and Traversal)
  • FNSM App Activities
  • Random Crime Events
Trophy Image
A New Home

100% complete all districts

For this trophy you’ll need to complete every activity in every burrough of New York.

Via the map, you can track the completion of each area. You won’t be able to reach 100% until after you’ve completed the game, but once you do, this trophy is yours.

Trophy Image
Urban Explorers

Collect all Time Capsules

Progress through the story until Miles’ friend Phin introduces you to Time Capsules. The first one, a science award, will be given to you after this cutscene and you’ll then be able to find them on the map as green clock icons.

From the moment they become available you are able to collect them all without needing to progress further in the story.

There are 16 in total, and once you’ve collected the final one, the trophy will pop!

Trophy Image
Memory Lane

Collect all Postcards

Once you’ve completed the game, head to the waypoint at your apartment where you’ll find a postcard. This is the first of 8 postcards which you’ll need to collect from across New York.

Head to the purple postcard icons which have been added to your map and collect them one-by-one in this scavenger-hunt tour.

Upon collecting the 8th postcard, you’ll unlock this trophy.

Trophy Image
Salvager

Open all Underground Caches

Quite early in the game, you’ll be introduced to Underground Caches, which are then added to the map in the form of blue toolbox icons.

When you approach one of these locations, hold to trigger spider-sense and locate the nearby strongbox. Once located, press to open it and receive the tech point within.

To earn this trophy you’ll need to find all 35 of them hidden throughout New York and the trophy will pop once you open the 35th cache.

Note that not all caches are available from the start of the game, there are some in each Roxxon Lab and each Underground Hideout, both of which are activities which will be unlocked later in the game.

Trophy Image
Under Their Noses

Shut down all Roxxon Labs

For this trophy you’ll need to progress the story to the point that you unlock “Roxxon Lab” enemy base activities.

At that point, they will appear on the map in the form of red ∞-shaped icons. There are three of these in total, so simply head to them one by one, completing each event. You don’t need to complete the bonus objectives, simply defeat the enemies and drain the reactor at the end.

Don’t forget to grab the caches in each of these activities for Salvager.

Trophy Image
Underground Undone

Shut down all Underground Hideouts

For this trophy you’ll need to progress the story to the point that you unlock “Underground Hideout” enemy base activities.

At that point, they will appear on the map in the form of skull-shaped icons. There are three of these in total, so simply head to them one by one, completing each event. You don’t need to complete the bonus objectives, simply defeat the enemies and destroy the jammer at the end.

Don’t forget to grab the caches in each of these activities for Salvager.

Trophy Image
Come at the King

Unravel a criminal conspiracy in Harlem

This trophy is tied to a Side Mission found in Harlem at the north of the map called “We’ve Got a Lead”.

Just complete any Side Quests (blue triangle icon) you get whenever they’re available and eventually this trophy will come naturally and pop upon completion of the aforementioned side mission.

Trophy Image
Never Saw It Coming

Complete an Enemy Base without being detected

This trophy can prove quite difficult, so don’t feel ashamed if it takes a few tries or you feel you need to reduce the difficulty in order to pull it off.

You will need to complete an enemy base – A Roxxon Lab or Underground Hideout activity – without getting spotted at any point.

The best way to do this is to stick to the walls and ceilings, using to find which enemies are safe to take out without alerting others.

I completed this trophy during the southern-most Roxxon Lab activity which proved quite simple thanks to the many metal beams running along the ceiling.

The trophy will pop when the last enemy in the base has been defeated, and not when the activity has been completed.

Trophy Image
Spider-Training: Complete

Complete every Spider-Training Challenge once

Early on in Spider-Man Miles Morales, you’ll be introduced to Spider-Training Challenges. These are holographic challenges set up by Peter Parker to help train Miles while Pete’s out of town.

There are three types of Spider-Training Challenge in the game;

  • Traversal Challenges, found at red Spider-Man icons on the map.
  • Combat Challenges, found at red fist icons on the map.
  • Stealth Challenges, found at red eye icons on the map.

There are nine in total, three per challenge type. You’ll start off with the 1.0 versions of each challenge and can unlock 2.0 versions by completing them. Same goes for 3.0 challenges, just complete the 2.0 version to unlock them.

To earn this trophy, you just need to complete all of these challenges just one time. Your final rating does not matter, simply get at least “Amazing” on them all by completing the bare minimum requirements of each challenge.

Saying that, the resources you get for completing these challenges are very useful, and you’ll have an easier time with the overall Platinum journey if you take the time to get Ultimate ratings, for maximum resources.

Trophy Image
Launch, Swing and Dive

Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Traversal Challenge

For this trophy you’ll need to complete a Traversal Spider-Training Challenge with the second-best possible (silver) final rating; Spectacular, or better; Ultimate.

To do this, you’ll have to pay attention to the challenge requirements on the left side of the HUD and do your best to meet the requirements of the top (gold) or middle (silver) goals.

In Traversal Challenges, this means reaching the goal under a certain amount of time, while passing through each of the checkpoints along the way.

Trophy Image
Punching Pixels

Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Combat Challenge

For this trophy you’ll need to complete a Combat Spider-Training Challenge with the second-best possible (silver) final rating; Spectacular, or better; Ultimate.

To do this, you’ll have to pay attention to the challenge requirements on the left side of the HUD and do your best to meet the requirements of the top (gold) or middle (silver) goals.

In Combat Challenges, this means reaching a certain number of hits using a particular attack, or avoiding getting hit a set number of times before defeating all enemies.

Trophy Image
Dodging Light

Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Stealth Challenge

For this trophy you’ll need to complete a Stealth Spider-Training Challenge with the second-best possible (silver) final rating; Spectacular, or better; Ultimate.

To do this, you’ll have to pay attention to the challenge requirements on the left side of the HUD and do your best to meet the requirements of the top (gold) or middle (silver) goals.

In Stealth Challenges, this means defeating all enemies under a certain amount of time, while remaining unseen and completing objectives such as disarming bombs and freeing hostages.

Trophy Image
Pete’s First Villain

Complete the Final Test

Once you have completed all nine Spider-Training Challenges, you’ll get a blue triangular waypoint which leads to a special final training mission.

Head to this waypoint, interact with the computer you will find there, and complete the final challenge to receive this trophy.

Trophy Image
Deep Cuts

Collect all Sound Samples and recreate the Davis Brothers Mix

Quite late in the game’s story, you’ll unlock some Sound Sample side-activities on the map, found at purple prowler-mask icons. There are a total of 10 Sound Samples to find across New York but the 10th is not marked on the map at first, and you only need the first 9 for this trophy.

When you arrive at a Sound Sample you’ll need to listen to the provided sample and find a matching sound effect somewhere amongst your surroundings and then record the new sample from that.

Once you’ve recorded your 9th sound sample, this trophy will pop.

If you’re curious, the 10th Sound Sample comes during a side-mission you will acquire for collecting the rest.

Trophy Image
Five Star Review

Complete all FNSM app requests

A short ways into the story, you’ll get your own App; The Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man App, or FNSM App for short.

This app gives the civilians of New York the ability to contact you directly with small jobs that need a hero’s touch. To access this app, swipe left on , here you can see any FNSM missions which are available. You can also press to switch to a Crimes tab, where you can see any active crimes.

This trophy only relates to FNSM missions. To track one, select it in the app and you’ll get a waypoint leading you to the quest giver. There are 14 FNSM App Requests in total and the final one leads you to a new suit.

Upon collecting it, your new trophy will pop!

Trophy Image
Crime Master

Complete all Bonus Objectives for every crime type

Just like this game’s predecessor, there are various random crimes which can occur within the city. However, it’s a little less frustrating to find Crimes in this game, thanks to the FNSM App.

Access the app by swiping left on and then press to access the Crimes feed. Here, you can see a live stream of active crimes, press on one to add a waypoint to your HUD.

You’ll notice that each Crime has up to three Activity Points (gold spider icons) available to earn. In order to earn all three of these, you’ll need to complete the bonus objectives on all 10 Crime types.

Note that some Crime Types won’t be available until you have progressed far enough in the story. Just complete them as and when they’re available for a smoother experience.

Keep doing this until you have all of the available Activity Points across all Crime Types and this trophy will pop.

Character Progression Trophies

The following trophies in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide involve upgrading Miles’ tech, unlocking skills, and collecting his many suits as well as their respective abilities.

Trophy Image
Kitbash

Craft 10 Upgrades

In the “Gadgets” tab of the menu, you can apply upgrades to one of Miles’ four available gadgets; The Web Shooters, Holo-Drones, Remote Mines, and Gravity Well.

To apply upgrades you will need resources in the form of Activity Tokens – which you’ll earn by doing side-content – and Tech Parts – which you can find in Underground Caches. With the required resources in hand, select a gadget with and then purchase the desired upgrade by holding with your reticule over it.

This trophy will pop once you have purchased your 10th Gadget upgrade in this way.

Trophy Image
Mod that Suit

Craft a Suit Mod

In the “Suits” tab of the menu, you’ll see there are three categories on the left; Suits, Visor Mods, and Suit Mods. To earn this trophy, you’ll need to craft a Suit Mod.

To do so, hover over one of your available Suit Mod slots, find a mod you can afford to craft with your available resources, and then hold to craft it. The trophy will pop immediately.

Trophy Image
Look with Better Eyes

Craft a Visor Mod

To do so, hover over one of your available Visor Mod slots, find a mod you can afford to craft with your available resources, and then hold to craft it. The trophy will pop immediately.

Phase Three – Spider-Man Miles Morales Miscellaneous Trophy Cleanup

The final phase of the Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide journey involves completing the various miscellaneous trophies in the game, most of which are tied into the game’s Combat System.

Misc Combat Trophies

The following trophies in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide all involve accomplishing various feats within the combat system while fighting the game’s various enemies. The best places to farm most of these trophies are the Spider-Man Training Challenges and Enemy Bases (Roxxon Labs and Underground Hideouts) as these can be replayed as many times as desired and will feature multiple waves of large enemy groups.

Trophy Image
100x Combo!!!

Perform a 100x Combo

Getting a 100-hit combo isn’t too difficult once you have a good grip on the combat mechanics and make good consistent use of the dodge button.

The best places to attempt these, as they will spawn a large number of enemies, is during the Combat Spider-Training Challenges. In-fact, it’s quite likely you’ll do this naturally.

To keep a combo going, simply land hits on enemies without getting hit yourself. If you wait too long between hits, the counter will reset, but the amount of time you can waste between hits is extremely lenient and there’s not much risk of you waiting too long.

Once the hit counter on the left reaches 100, the trophy will pop!

Trophy Image
From the Rafters

Perform 25 Ceiling Takedowns

For this trophy you’ll need to perform stealth takedown from ceilings. To do so, you’ll need to be undetected.

Aim your reticule at a nearby enemy and wait until the icon in the center turns purple, indicating that they’re in close enough range for a takedown.

If they are directly below you (or near enough) but the reticule won’t turn purple, you’re probably too high up. Hold to begin descending from a web, allowing you to use to move further down and closer to the desired enemy target.

Good places to farm these takedowns are Enemy Base missions, as they can be replayed and are often perfectly set up to encourage stealth takedowns from walls, cielings, and perches.

Upon your 25th successful takedown from a ceiling, the trophy will pop.

Trophy Image
Climbing the Walls

Perform 25 Wall Takedowns

For this trophy you’ll need to perform stealth takedowns from walls. To do so, you’ll need to be undetected.

Aim your reticule at a nearby enemy and wait until the icon in the center turns purple, indicating that they’re in close enough range for a takedown.

Good places to farm these takedowns are Enemy Base missions, as they can be replayed and are often perfectly set up to encourage stealth takedowns from walls, cielings, and perches.

Upon your 25th successful takedown from a wall, the trophy will pop.

Trophy Image
Invisible Spider

Defeat 50 enemies while Camouflaged

For this trophy you’ll need to perform or stealth takedowns while camouflaged. To do so, you’ll need to be undetected and invisible. Activate your camouflage by pressing while your camouflage meter in the top-right is filled.

Aim your reticule at a nearby enemy while invisible and press either (if you’re close enough) or (if you’re at a distance) to perform a stealth takedown.

Good places to farm these takedowns are Enemy Base missions, as they can be replayed and are often perfectly set up to encourage stealth takedowns from walls, cielings, and perches.

Upon your 50th successful takedown while camouflaged, the trophy will pop.

Trophy Image
Overcharge

Defeat 100 enemies with Venom attacks

For this trophy you’ll need to kill 100 enemies using Venom Abilities.

Venom Abilities are powerful attacks which utilise Miles’ Bio-electricity to add some flashy and explosive power to his attacks. To use a Venom attack, you’ll first need to unlock each one individually, and then you’ll need to press the right button combination to activate it when you have enough venom charges in the bar on the top-left corner of the HUD. The available abilities are as follows:

  • Venom Punch – Uses one Venom Charge – Press + to trigger a powerful electrically-charged punch. Ideal for heavy muscle-bound enemies.
  • Venom Smash – Uses one Venom Charge – Press + + while in the air to slam into the ground at high speed, sending out a bio-electric shockwave. Great for crowd-control.
  • Venom Dash – Uses one Venom Charge – Press + to dash towards an enemy, grabbing them and then throwing them, dealing massive damage. Ideal for quick and sword-wielding enemies.
  • Venom Jump – Uses one Venom Charge – Press + while on the ground to leap up into the air, causing a shockwave which disarms nearby enemies and sends them flying into the air with you. Great for shield and weapon-wielding enemies. Can also be used to gain extra height while swinging through New York.
  • Mega Venom Blast – Uses three Venom Charges – Press + + to trigger a huge web-shaped shockwave which deals massive damage. Excellent for crowd control.

Once you have used any of the above abilities to kill an enemy for the 100th time, this trophy will pop.

Trophy Image
Up and Over

Perform a Venom Jump, then a Venom Dash on a single enemy

To earn this trophy you’ll need to progress far enough that you unlock the Venom Dash ability. The ability will become available during your first fight with an Underground enemy who uses a programmable matter sword.

Once you have the ability, charge up your Venom power until you have two full charges and then execute the following combo;

First, press and simultaneously to perform a Venom Jump, launching yourself and the surrounding enemies directly up into the air. Then, quickly press and simultaneously to perform a Venom Dash, propelling yourself into the nearest enemy and thus causing the trophy to pop.

Trophy Image
From Downtown

Use Venom Dash to throw an enemy into a group of three or more

This trophy requires the Venom Dash + ability, which you’ll acquire during your first fight with an Underground Thug who has a programmable matter sword.

It can be a little tricky to acquire the trophy, so I recommend just spamming the Venom Dash ability whenever theres a large number of enemies around you. You can use the Crimes System and the Enemy Bases system to farm combat scenarios until you successfully pull this off.

You essentially need to use Venom Dash on an enemy in the direction of a group of enemies. At the end of a Venom Dash attack, Miles throws the person he’s attacking. If you can set this up just right so that the thrown enemy hits 3 or more enemies, the trophy will immediately pop.

Trophy Image
Trapped

Defeat 50 enemies with Remote Mine gadget

To earn this trophy, you’ll first need the Remote Mine gadget unlocked. Once you have it in your arsenal, you can hold and select it from the gadget wheel using .

With the Remote Mines equipped, you can tap to fire it in the direction your reticule is aimed. This will plant it on the surface or enemy you’re aimed at.

Then, you’ll be able to press to trigger the mine, electrocuting the enemies within the blue circle which indicates the blast radius.

You can also plant these mines on electronics panels (highlighted in blue by spider-sense) which will increase the damage output and radius of your detonation. This is all taught to you when you first unlock them.

Once you have used this gadget to kill 50 enemies, this trophy will pop.

Trophy Image
Nowhere to Hide

Perform 100 Stealth Takedowns

To perform a stealth takedown, attack an enemy by tapping or while aiming at them when unseen.

There’s an interesting stealth system at play here, whereby you can hold to scan nearby enemies and can see from “Safe” and “Danger” indicators whether an enemy is safe to be taken out or if you’ll give away your position by attacking them.

The best place to earn this trophy is during the Stealth Spider-Training Challenges, found at red eye icons on the map. They can be replayed and will set up a scenario for you which is intended to be played in stealth, so it makes sense to farm these for the trophy if you don’t get it naturally – which, honestly, you probably will.

Other Misc Trophies

Trophy Image
Best Fries in Town

Pay your respects to a legend in the Upper West Side

For this trophy, you’ll need to find “Mick’s Diner” in New York City, at the location shown below.

This diner is where MJ and Peter met during a scene in the original Marvel’s Spider-Man and Stan Lee had a small cameo. Due to Stan Lee’s unfortunate death, Insomniac have erected a statue to him in the side of the building. Interact with this to pay your respects to the iconic legend, after which the trophy will pop.

To switch to the lighting editor in Photo Mode, press . Here, you can customise up to three new light sources, all you need to do for the trophy is place one custom light and then switch to Sticker Mode by pressing again.

Phase Four – Spider-Man Miles Morales New Game Plus Trophies

Complete Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on New Game+

Trophy Image
Plus Plus

Complete the game on New Game+

It’s possible you’ll decide to get this trophy out of the way somewhere in the middle of your trophy journey. If you finish the game and gather all collectables but still have some upgrades and misc trophies to acquire, then it makes perfect sense to start a new game + at that point, rather than waiting until you’ve done anything.

Regardless, however you decide to approach this one, to earn the trophy you simply need to complete all main story missions a second time while in New Game Plus mode, which is obviously not available until you’ve beat the game once.

Since you’ll likely have most of your upgrades and skills, you’ll be able to complete the campaign a lot quicker this second time, especially if you skip cutscenes by pressing and selecting “Skip Cinematic” at the bottom.

You don’t need to complete any side-activities or side-missions in order to unlock this trophy so you can just focus on main mission objectives.

This trophy will pop once you reach complete the final main mission objective.

Purchase all New-Game-Plus-Exclusive Skills and Suit

Various skills and suits in Spider-Man Miles Morales can only be purchased during your second playthrough on New Game Plus. These particular purchasables are indicated by a red “+” icon.

Thus, you’ll only be able to acquire the following trophies in this Spider-Man Miles Morales Trophy Guide during your New Game Plus playthrough…

Trophy Image
Just the Beginning

Unlock all Skills

For this trophy, you just need to buy all available skills from the “Skills” tab in the menu. Skills will cost a single skill point and skill points are earned from levelling up. Each time you level up, you’ll earn one single skill point.

As well as that, however, certain skills need you to reach a certain level, so you can’t just buy any skill you like without making decent progress.

You will need to be playing in New Game Plus to purchase the final three skills, which will also require you to reach levels 21, 22, and 23 respectively.

Once you purchase the last remaining skill, the trophy will be yours.

Trophy Image
Ready for Anything

Purchase all suits

For this trophy, you just need to purchase/unlock every suit in the game. Note that the two pre-order suits (and any which may be released in the future) are not required for this trophy.

In order to be able to acquire every single suit, you’ll need to complete all side-content, including side-missions. Many of the required activities can’t be completed until you’ve finished the story, and there’s even a suit you can’t purchase until you’re playing in New Game Plus.

Once you have unlocked every single suit, this trophy will pop.
