Trophy Guide

Gotham Knights Trophy Guide and Road Map for PlayStation 5

Welcome to our Gotham Knights Trophy Guide. Gotham Knights is something of a sequel to the “Arkham” series of Batman games. Although the story is not officially linked in any way, the gameplay is similar, and the publisher is the same.

In Gotham Knights, you can take up the role of either Robin, Nightwing (Old Robin), Red Hood (Angry Robin), or Batgirl, and must investigate the recent death of the famous Batman while trying to take up his responsibilities in his absence.

The game can be played all most completely in online co-op mode, but you should be aware that the framerate will drop significantly when playing with others, especially while trying to glide or ride the Batcycle.

The trophy journey is surprisingly short, and as far as Superhero games go, Gotham Knights is a fairly decent attempt at one, but it doesn’t measure up to the Spider-Man series or even the Arkham series.

Phase One – Story Mode

In this initial phase of our Gotham Knights Trophy Guide, you’re free to just focus on the story. Complete as much of the side content as you like as you play, attempt challenges, complete bike races, and more. Keep in mind, though, nothing is missable, and you can complete everything in the post-game if you’d prefer to just plow into the story.

Without any difficulty-specific trophies to worry about, you can play on any difficulty you like, even “Very Easy.”

There are no online or cooperative trophies, so nothing forces you to play cooperative multiplayer, but you may find the trophy journey more enjoyable with a friend at your side.

Once you finish the story and have viewed or skipped the credits, you’ll be returned to Gotham City and will be allowed to explore freely. This means that, thankfully, nothing is missable!

Once you’re done there, you’ll be able to lend your focus to completing various side activities and gathering collectibles. It might seem like a long to-do list, but it should fly by quickly as nothing here is too extraneous.

Side Activity Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Practice Makes Perfect

Complete all 16 Training Area exercises

The Sixteen Training Area exercises can be accessed via the training area in the Belfry but will unlock over time as you gain abilities and progress the story.

After beating the story, Interact with the prompt over the training equipment next to the dummy and then complete all sixteen training exercises. They are all very short and will typically teach you only one or two abilities.

If the trophy doesn’t unlock, you may not have every Momentum Ability yet. Go to the “Abilities” tab in your Batcomputer with and then switch to the “Momentum Abilities” sub-tab with .

There, you will be able to see any locked Momentum Abilities as well as the Challenges you must complete to unlock them (if you have progressed far enough into the story). Many of these have Tutorials tied to them, which you can only access once you unlock the actual abilities.

Complete any challenges you see listed on the Momentum Abilities page to unlock any remaining tutorials.

Whenever you complete a training exercise, you will be asked if you’d like to load the next exercise. Complete all 16 in any order at any time, and the Practice Makes Perfect trophy will unlock!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
A Momentum Occasion

Unlock all Momentum Abilities as Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, or Red Hood

You will gain access to more Momentum Abilities as you progress the story and unlock more Challenges. At any time, you can go to the “Abilities” tab in the Batcomputer and then the “Momentum Abilities” sub-tab with .

There, you will see various Momentum abilities, unlocked, locked, and hidden. If an ability is hidden, you haven’t progressed the story enough to gain access to the relevant Challenge which unlocks that ability.

If an ability is locked, you can highlight it to see which Challenge you need to complete in order to unlock it.

Once you’ve completed the story, you should have access to every relevant Challenge and will have naturally completed quite a few too! Simply complete any outstanding Momentum Challenges to unlock the remaining Momentum Abilities and receive the “A Momentum Occasion” trophy. You will need to earn this to unlock the Practice Makes Perfect trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Unstoppable Force

Unlock all four Momentum bars as Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, or Red Hood

You can unlock new segments for your Momentum bar by completing Momentum Challenges to unlock more Momentum Abilities. You will definitely earn this trophy naturally while working on A Momentum Occasion.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Solid Alibi

Successfully protect Batman’s secret identity

After you complete the story Case File 01: BATMAN’S LAST CASE, you will gain access to these “Secret Identity Compromised” missions. They can be found at white batman icons on the map, just like the one in the trophy icon above.

At these locations, you will need to sneak to a computer terminal while remaining undetected. You will have to use Stealth Takedowns, Hacking, and a little bit of puzzle-solving to reach and activate the terminal.

If you are detected, you will fail the mission and will not be able to attempt it again until you return to the Belfry to end the night. You will then need to return the next night to try again.

Once you successfully complete one of these missions, you will be able to access the next one the following night. There are five in total, which become increasingly difficult. My advice would be to take your time, survey the area carefully, and use silent takedowns on any guards in the area to remove them as a concern.

Once you complete all five of these Side Activities, the Solid Alibi trophy is yours!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Bat Out of Hell

Complete every Batcycle time trial

After you complete the Main Story Case File 03: IN THE SHADOWS, you will begin seeing these Batcycle Time Trial Activities appear all over Gotham City.

They will be marked on the map via white batcycle icons, and you will gain access to them one after the other, meaning you must complete one to access the next one on the following night.

There are only seven of these to complete and they are all fairly easy. They’re simple point-to-point gate races, where each gate that you pass through gives you extra time, but you can actually miss gates if necessary without being penalized for it.

The time limits are very fair, and the courses are not difficult at all. Simply complete all seven across seven separate nights to unlock the Bat Out of Hell trophy.

Collectible Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Gotham City Confidential

Find all of Bruce Wayne’s hidden audio recordings

Collectible

Throughout the game, you will gain access to various “Secret Caches.” These will be marked on the map with white container icons.

You will be able to see them on the map as soon as they’re available (from Case File 01: BATMAN’S LAST CASE onwards), and whenever you complete all of the available ones, you can return to the Belfry to spawn more.

When you head to one of these white icons, you will find a panel on the floor. When you step on the panel, Batman’s voice will be heard coming from the computer, confirming your identity as a Gotham Knight.

Next, several blue markers will spawn ahead of you. There’s usually only 5-7 of them. You will have a limited amount of time to run over and touch all of the blue markers. These are typically not very difficult but I have had them bug on me quite a few times where markers I’ve touched weren’t registered. If this happens, you just have to keep retrying the activity until it works.

Once you have collected all of the markers, you will hear another recording of Batman, indicating that a cache has been revealed nearby. Perch on the metal plank with the waypoint marker on it and then wait for your character to settle so you don’t immediately jump off by accident.

Next, hold to open a secret compartment at the end of the perch and collect the Audio Recording inside.

There are a total of 12 Audio Recordings to locate this way. None are missable and all are easily found directly on the map. If you are missing some, either progress the story further or return to the Belfry to spawn more.

Once you have all 12, the Gotham City Confidential trophy will unlock.

Locate all Landmarks of Gotham City

Collectible

Dotted around Gotham City, there are 40 significant landmarks for you to visit. These landmarks always have a small plaque on the exterior walls. It’s pretty easy to find by holding to scan for the golden outline of a plaque nearby once you reach a Landmark Location.

To make things easier, the plaque is always at street level too, so you don’t need to worry about scaling buildings and looking down chimneys.

Use our map below to locate and interact with all 40 Landmark plaques hidden throughout Gotham City. Once you’ve done so, you will unlock the History Major trophy.

Collectible

You will find a stomach-turning total of 60 Batarangs have been scattered across Gotham City by the late great Batman. They’re very easy to spot from a distance thanks to the bright blue beam of light they emit.

Additionally, all you need to do to collect them is touch them, so you may have even grabbed a few by accident while sprinting across the rooftops and clambering up walls.

Use our map below to find and collect all 60 of Gotham City’s hidden Batarangs. Once your collection is complete, the Batarang Collector trophy will unlock!

Read Owl About It

Collect all missing pages from the mythical Historia Strigidae

Collectible

Historia Strigidae (or as we took to calling them, History Striggydiggy) is by far the most annoying type of collectible in the game. And there are so damn many of them, too!

There are a total of 42 historic locations to visit in pursuit of this trophy. At each location, you will need to look for a white cross on a nearby wall which you can interact with to retrieve the missing Historia Strigidae page.

You can’t see the white crosses with your AR scanner, however, you can see the surrounding arrow icons, which will glow brightly when scanned with .

The thing about these arrows, though, is they point in the wrong direction. Whenever you see an arrow, head the opposite way to find the white cross.

Use our map below, which shows the locations of all Historia Strigidae pages, to collect all 42 and unlock the Read Owl About It trophy!

Phase Three – Postgame Cleanup

The third phase in our Gotham Knights Trophy Guide is going to be focused on everything you have left except reaching Level 40. That includes enemy-specific trophies, crime-specific trophies, progression trophies, crafting trophies, and a handful of misc trophies.

There’s a good chance that you’ve already completed a vast majority of the trophies below simply by playing the game, but there’s still one or two trophies here that’ll take a bit of effort.

Crime Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Expert Crime Fighter

Prevent 250 crimes in Gotham City

Cumulative

The “Expert Crime Fighter” trophy asks that you complete a total of 250 crime events in Gotham Knights. This does not need to be done in a single night.

By “Crimes” the trophy refers not only to the red Premeditated Crime icons, but also the regular crimes that appear at small white triangle icons all over the city.

You can press to scan for nearby crimes. The closest ones will always have a purple circle around them on the compass at the top of your HUD.

After you have prevented a total of 250 crimes (which really isn’t that many) you will unlock the Expert Crime Fighter trophy. It’s likely even to unlock naturally.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Not On My Watch

Successfully stop all Premeditated Crimes in a single night

Non-cumulative

As you defeat enemies throughout the game, you will gather clues. Whenever you return to the belfry, these clues are converted into premeditated crime activities on the Gotham City map.

When you head out the next night, you’ll be able to go to those locations and complete the crimes.

However, when you hover over a district on the Gotham City map, you will see two red triangle icons; one with a “?” and one with a “!”. The Question Mark icons indicate Premeditated Crimes going on in the District that you haven’t revealed yet.

You can reveal these by solving regular Crimes (small white triangles) and Interrogating enemies at those crime events. Interrogate enemies by reducing their HP until their Health Bar goes red, then press to grab them and to interrogate. You can scan for nearby regular crimes with . The nearest one on your radar always has a purple circle around it.

To unlock the “Not On My Watch” trophy, you will need first to uncover all hidden Premeditated Crimes in one night and then complete every uncovered premeditated crime activity on the same night too.

Note that it is possible to fail a Premeditated Crime event by being defeated or failing a main objective. If this happens, you will not be able to earn this trophy on that night and will need to try again on the next night.

Enemy Trophies

Family Meeting

Defeat 30 Mob Godmothers

Cumulative

Mob Godmothers are huge bruiser enemies. They wear a pantsuit with an exposed chest and carry a cane with them. You’ll fight a lot of them through the story and even more of them while working on completing 250 Crimes.

If you find yourself needing to farm a few more kills, explore Gotham City and complete Crime events in areas where the Mob operates.

Once you fight and defeat your 30th Mob Godmother, the Family Meeting trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Shock Til They Drop

Defeat 45 Regulator Shockers

Cumulative

Regulator Shockers are tough elementally-aligned enemies with big bionic arms. You’ll fight a lot of them through the story and even more of them while working on completing 250 Crimes.

If you find yourself needing to farm a few more kills, explore Gotham City and complete Crime events in areas where the Regulators operate.

Once you fight and defeat your 45th Regulator Shocker, the Shock Til They Drop trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Drone You Out

Defeat 30 Regulator Drone Masters

Cumulative

Drone Masters are tech experts with a small fleet of drones that they can use to damage and harass you. You’ll fight a lot of them through the story, especially once you get further in, and even more of them while working on completing 250 Crimes.

If you find yourself needing to farm a few more kills, explore Gotham City and complete Crime events in areas where the Regulators operate.

Once you fight and defeat your 30th Drone Master, the Drone You Out trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Bulldozed

Defeat 30 Freaks Bulldozers

Cumulative

Freaks Bulldozers are large shielded bruiser enemies. They’re easy to spot thanks to their huge stature and massive shield. You’ll fight a lot of them through the story and even more of them while working on completing 250 Crimes.

If you find yourself needing to farm a few more kills, explore Gotham City and complete Crime events in areas where the Freaks operate.

Once you fight and defeat your 30th Bulldozer, the Bulldozed trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Out of Their League

Defeat 45 League of Shadows Assassins and 30 Rocketeers

Cumulative

As you progress further into the story, and the League of Shadows becomes more involved, you’ll start to see Assassins and Rocketeers of the League’s ranks showing up to take you on.

You will fight plenty of them throughout the story, but maybe not enough to earn this trophy. Even after 250 Crimes, depending on how frequently they show up in your game.

The best thing to do is to just explore Gotham City and complete Crime events in districts where The League of Shadows operates.

Once you have defeated a cumulative total of 45 Assassins and 30 Rocketeers from the League of Shadows Faction, you will unlock the Out of Their League trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
The Man-Bat Family

Defeat 10 Man-Bats in Gotham City

Cumulative

You will first fight Man-Bats as part of the story in Case File 07. You will then need to hunt down and kill three more for Case File 8.1 – Dangerous Skies, which asks you to visit the rooves of the Elliot Center, Gotham City General Hospital, and Waynetech. There, you’ll have to fight and defeat the Man-Bat before moving on.

While they’re a part of this quest, the “crimes” that they spawn at will have yellow triangle icons instead of white. After completing Case File 8, you can return to the buildings listed above to check for a Man-Bat. They have a chance to spawn in all the places they were for Case File 8.1.

As the story will see you unavoidably defeating at least 5 Man-Bats, you just need to find and fight five more. Once you have defeated a cumulative total of 10, the “The Man-Bat Family” trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Talonted

Defeat 40 Feral Talons, 25 Gladiator Talons, and 15 Hunter Talons

Cumulative

As you progress further into the story, you will start to see more and more enemies from the Court of Owls faction. To unlock the Talonted trophy, you need to defeat a cumulative total of 15 Hunter Talons, 25 Gladiator Talons, and 40 Feral Talons.

Talons are enemies from the Court of Owls faction who have tight leather outfits and owl-like masks with glowing eyes. You will certainly fight a lot of these towards the end of the story, and you can look for “Owl’s Nest” Premeditated Crimes to fight large waves of them.

Alternatively, just complete crimes in areas of Gotham City where the Court of Owls operates.

Once you have defeated enough of each type of Talon enemy, the Talonted trophy is all yours.

Crafting & Modchips

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Fusion Expert

Acquire 50 Modchips via mod fusion

Cumulative

Mod Chips are useful modifiers you can apply to your gear to increase its stats significantly. You will collect a lot of them naturally as they drop from defeated enemies.

You can fuse four Modchips together to create a more powerful Modchip. To do so, go to the Mods section of the gear tab in the Batcomputer. There, press [tirnalge] to begin using Modchips.

Tap on all the Modchips you’d like to fuse (you need at least four) and then hold to fuse them into a single Modchip. If all of the modchips you use are the same rarity, the Modchip you receive will be the next rarity up.

Get a total of 50 new Modchips by fusing other Modchips to unlock the Fusion Expert trophy. You’ll need a cumulative total of 200 Modchips to pull this off, but you should earn far more than that naturally and easily throughout your playthrough.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Dressed to Impress

Craft a complete set of Legendary equipment (Suit, Melee Weapon, Ranged Weapon)

Reach Level 30 or higher, and Legendary (yellow) gear will begin appearing in the Crafting Menu. After completing a few crimes or activities, you should be able to build at least one Suit, Melee Weapon, and Ranged weapon of Legendary rarity.

To unlock the Dress to Impress Trophy, you’ll need to do exactly that. Craft a piece of Legendary Gear for all three Gear Slots, and the trophy will unlock.

Note that Legendary Gear requires a specific type of resource called “Nth Metal.” This resource is especially rare, but by the end of the game, you should have just enough to craft what you need.

If not, you can actually farm Nth Metal by defeating High-Value Targets from the “Gotham’s Most Wanted” Challenge List. These enemies will only spawn in Crimes with a difficulty rating of “Very High.”

Character Progression Trophies

Achieving Knighthood is fairly simple. Open the Challenges tab in the Batcomputer and then select “Knighthood” to view the Challenge Objectives.

The challenges are the same for all four characters and are very easy to complete. You will only need to complete them for one character for this trophy. See more info below:

Stop 10 Premeditated CrimesRed crime icons on the map. Reveal them by interrogating criminals while exploring Gotham at night or by converting collected clues at the belfry. Complete 10 of these once revealed.
Defeat 3 MinibossesYou’ll fight more than three minibosses just by completing the 10 Premeditated Crimes.

Once you have done all three Challenges, return to the Belfry and interact with Bruce’s old gear on the wall.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
A Worthy Successor

Unlock all Knighthood Abilities for any member of the Batman Family

After achieving Knighthood and unlocking the Knighthood trophy, you will gain access to a new column in the “Abilities” tab of the Batcomputer. This new column contains seven “Knighthood” abilities that you can unlock by spending AP.

Purchase all seven skills in this column to unlock the “A Worthy Successor” trophy.

If you run out of SP from spending it all on other skills, that’s fine, but you will need to reach Level 40 in order to earn more AP. To do so, continue on into Phase Four, where we start up New Game Plus…

Misc Trophies

Trophy Image
The Batman Family

Play as Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood

In the Belfry, you can find four mannequins, each dressed in one of the Gotham Knights’ gear. You can hold on these mannequins to switch to the featured hero.

To unlock the “The Batman Family” trophy, you simply need to interact with these mannequins one by one until you’ve switched to each hero at least once.

After the trophy unlocks, you can continue the rest of the game with any hero you like, there’s no other reason to switch.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
In Your Element

Inflict Elemental Effects on enemies 50 times

Cumulative

When you hit an enemy with either an Elemental Momentum Ability, Elemental Melee Weapon, or Elemental Ranged Weapon, you will inflict a small amount of elemental buildup on them.

Continue hitting them with elementally-aligned gear and abilities until the elemental buildup gauge by their health bar fills up. When it does, the element will fully affect them (i.e. burning them with fire element buildup).

You can also cause these effects much quicker by blowing up explosive barrels dotted around in most fight areas.

You need to cause this at least 50 cumulative times in your entire playthrough of Gotham Knights. Fortunately, as higher-level gear typically have powerful elemental alignments, you’re likely to gradually earn this trophy naturally, making more progress towards the end of the story.

Using a Melee Weapon and a Ranged Weapon of the same element will help to ensure you fill the elemental buildup gauge more often, rather than having two different elements fight for domination over your enemy.

At the end of a Night, when your results are tallied, there is also a stat at the bottom to tell you how many enemies you affected with elemental abilities.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Protector of Gotham

Complete 50 Challenges

Cumulative

Challenges can be found in the “Challenges” tab of the Batcomputer (hold ). There, you’ll see many challenges which get unlocked throughout the game, most of which you will complete naturally on your trophy journey.

In fact, you’ll naturally complete far more than 50 challenges and needn’t spare a thought for this trophy at all. Focus on completing other trophies and you’ll knock out plenty of challenges in the process, even just from completing Main Case Files and Villain Case Files.

Phase Four – New Game Plus & Cleanup

In this fourth and final phase of our Gotham Knights Trophy Guide, we’re going to focus on reaching the Max Level of 40.

One of the things preventing you from doing this up until now was a Level Cap of 30. But once you start a New Game Plus save, the level cap is increased. However, the reason you’ve had to hold back and wait so long to do this is that there’s no way to return to your original save once you start New Game Plus, so it’s best to finish up our other business before moving on.

Reach Level 40

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
He’d Be So Proud of You

Reach the maximum level as any member of the Batman Family

The game’s Max Level is 40. However, you will find out soon enough that you can’t increase your character’s level past 30. The reason for this is a Level Cap which gets increased when you start a New Game Plus save.

Therefore, in order to reach Level 40 and unlock the “He’d Be So Proud of You” trophy, you will need to start a New Game Plus save. The issue with that is that you can only have one save at a time. So, if you start New Game Plus, you would have to complete the whole story again to get back to free-roam with everything accessible because you can’t load your original save anymore.

To be safe, make sure you’ve done everything up to this Phase of our Gotham Knights Trophy Guide before starting a New Game Plus save.

Once you’ve done so, you can choose to earn the remaining exp however you wish, but I strongly suggest that you just start playing the story. If you skip cutscenes, you’ll be able to blast through it pretty fast and should have enough XP sometime around Case File 04.

When you finally reach Level 40, the He’d Be So Proud of You trophy will unlock.
