Trophy Guide
Injustice 2 Trophy Guide and Road Map for PlayStation 4
Welcome to our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide. Injustice 2 is the second in a series of DC-Universe fighting games brought to you by the folks who make Mortal Kombat. With a somewhat dark atmosphere and a very serious story, the outright wacky characters of the DC Universe come to blows in this epic fighter.
The trophy journey is something of a grueling slog. Aside from completing the story and having fun earning a few misc Versus Mode trophies, there are hours upon hours ahead of you to be spent farming XP and completing Online Matches.
Phase One – Change Settings and Complete Story Mode
In this initial phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, begin by changing the game’s settings. At the main menu, before doing anything, select “Extras,” “Options,” and then “Gameplay Settings.”
There, apply the following settings:
- Round Time: Off
- Rounds to Win: 1
- Story Difficulty: Easy
You are, of course, welcome to use whatever settings you prefer, but the above settings will offer the path of least resistance through the trophy journey.
You’ll now get to experience all the events of the Injustice 2 Story Mode, collecting a few trophies by defeating a total of 76 opponents across 12 character-specific story-driven chapters.
You’ll need to play through every possible alternate path for the I’ll Do It Again trophy, so you might end up getting a lot more Story Mode than you’d like, but at least we’ll be sure you also have any necessary Story Mode unlocks going forward, such as the “Brainiac” character.
By changing the settings to those suggested above, you’ll have as smooth of a time during this phase as possible.
Story Mode Trophies
Half Way There
Complete 50% of Story mode
After completing the first 6 Chapters of Story Mode, the “Half Way There” trophy will unlock.
Who’s Next?
Complete 100% of Story mode
Reach the end of all 12 Chapters in Story Mode for the first time to unlock “Who’s Next?”
I’ll Do It Again
Complete Story mode after doing all alternate paths
At various points in the story, you will be asked to choose which character you would like to fight as. When you’ve finished the story, you can revisit all of these choices via the “Chapters” option in the Story Mode menu.
Use Chapter Select to complete each of these fights again, this time using the character you didn’t use in your first playthrough.
You should have completed about 51 Fights in your first playthrough, leaving 25 for you to go back and replay. To help make things more convenient, I’ve provided details below of each Chapter that you’ll need to replay.

Phase Two – Farm Trophies in Versus Mode
Moving on into the Second Phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, from the Main Menu, go to “Multiplayer” > “Versus” and make your way through the selection of miscellaneous Versus Mode trophies. They’ll help you become more acquainted with the gameplay and various special moves before we move into more serious portions of the game.
This phase can be done by playing solo against AI in the Singleplayer Single Fight mode, but if you have a second controller, you may wish to play as both characters, to maintain some control over the enemy’s movements.

On the Arkham Asylum Front Gates arena, push your opponent to the right edge of the arena, then use + to kick them into the next arena. Rinse and repeat with your opponent set to each of the Gotham Villains listed below.
Gotham Villains include:

- Scarecrow
- Bane
This Is Why I Can’t Have Nice Things
Be in the Batcave when all the Environmental Interactions are used
There are a lot of things to try and achieve for this trophy, so it’s much wiser to attempt it in Multiplayer Versus mode with two controllers, so you can set everything up correctly.
Setup | Ideal Setting |
---|---|
Player’s Character | Swamp Thing |
Opponent | Any |
Difficulty | Very Easy |
Map | Batcave |
Arena | Brother Eye |
Begin a match with the above settings, then begin completing the below objectives. Try not to hit your opponent too much, just activating each environmental object will count toward the trophy:
- Use to throw the three boxes on the far right side.
- Jump up and press next to the large laser mechanisms on the ceiling. All three.
- Use to throw your opponent into the large monitor on the left side.
- Use to throw your opponent into the terminal on the left wall.
When done, push your opponent against the left wall and use + to knock them into the Armory arena. There, complete these objectives:
- Press to throw both Tires on the trolley.
- Press in front of the Batmobile to knock an enemy into it.
- Press near the Motorbike on the far left to throw it.
- Press next to the trailer on the far right to throw it.
If you’re struggling to have both characters stay alive long enough, increase the number of rounds to 2 in the settings. You also don’t need to activate all these things with one character, so if you’re using two controllers, share the damage across both characters a bit.
Successfully activating all interactables in the Batcave Map will unlock the “This is Why I Can’t Have Nice Things” trophy.
Stay Down
Knock an opponent into an Arena Transition 25 times
Some Maps in Injustice 2 have transition points on them. These specific parts of the map can be triggered to transition to another Arena within the same Map. For example, the Empire Theater Arena in Gotham City has a truck full of explosives on the far left side of the screen.
Using + to knock someone into this van will trigger a series of events which transition to the interior arena.
You will need to do this a cumulative total of 25 times throughout your time playing Injustice 2. This is fairly likely to unlock naturally, but you can also farm the trophy by just starting a match on the Gotham City map (or any other that you prefer), triggering the transition, then restarting the match via .
Supergirl is a good character to farm this trophy with. You can push towards your opponent and press to jump to the other side of them, her attack is good for pushing enemies where you want them to go, and then you can use away from your opponent and to kick them into the transition.
Repeat 25 times, and the trophy is yours.
Would You Like Some Crumpets With That?
Duck 10 times in a row during a match
This is very easy. The trophy is basically teaching you to “Teabag”. In any fight (although a Very Easy Single Fight might be more advisable) press rapidly until your character ducks 10 times in a row, uninterrupted.
Successfully doing so will unlock the “Would You Like Some Crumpets With That?” trophy.
Untouchable
Go 10 seconds of the match without being hit by your opponent
This trophy is easier than it sounds, and likely even to unlock naturally while you’re setting up some of the other trophies.
Simply use to avoid your opponent. Setting up a custom Single Fight on Very Easy Difficulty makes things a lot easier, of course.
Avoid being hit by your opponent for 10 whole seconds and the Untouchable trophy will unlock.
Phase Three – Battle Simulator Mode
Continuing on, in our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide’s third phase, we’ll focus solely on trophies that require us to play the Battle Simulator. Via the Multiverse option found in the “Single Player” menu, you’ll experience a different story ending for each individual character.
You will first need to complete three Multiverse Tutorial Events in the “Multiverse Simulation” option. Then, you will need to view an ending for all 28 characters and complete a total of 100 Multiverse Events.
I recommend using Catwoman a lot here to try and get more rare gear for her. This could come in handy later for a very annoying trophy.
Battle Simulator Trophies
Feeling Super
Perform every Supermove
While playing as every character for Spoiler Alert, there’s a strong chance you’ll naturally unlock the Feeling Super trophy by using every character’s + Super Move.
If not, you can easily farm this trophy in Versus or Single Fight mode.
Heathens
Win a match with each villain
As the Heathens trophy description suggests, you will need to complete one match with each villain. You can’t get this trophy until you’ve beaten the story at least once, unlocking Brainiac.
Once you have Brainiac, if you wish, you could head into either Multiplayer Versus or Single Player Single Fight mode and make your way through each villain, ensuring you win at least one match with each. There’s a good chance you’ve already completed a few through the Story and other trophies in this Phase.
However, alternatively, you could instead just wait until the Spoiler Alert trophy, where you’ll earn this trophy naturally.
Spoiler Alert
View all character endings in the Battle Simulator
The quickest way to achieve the Spoiler Alert Trophy is by performing the following series of events:
- Open The Multiverse from the Single Player menu.
- Select the Bottom-Right option called “Battle Simulator.”
- Choose the shortest possible tower on the far left.
- Choose any character that you have not already completed Battle Simulator with and “Very Easy” Difficulty.
- Complete five fights of varying difficulty.
- View your selected character’s “ending” after the fifth fight.
- Repeat Steps 3-6 until you have completed a Battle Simulator run with all 28 Base Game Characters.
Once you have done the above and have seen the Battle Simulator ending for every Base Game Character, the Spoiler Alert trophy will unlock!
Event-full
Complete 25 Multiverse events
You will complete more than 25 Multiverse Events in pursuit of the Spoiler Alert trophy, and Pulling Overtime requires you to complete 100 of them!
Pulling Overtime
Complete 100 Multiverse events
Multiverse events are found in the Multiverse option in Single Player. Each Multiverse Event consists of a tower containing as few as three (or commonly, five) rivals for you to beat in back-to-back fights.
To unlock “Pulling Overtime,” you will need to complete 100 of these towers. You’ll need to have completed at least 28 to unlock Spoiler Alert, but you will have to put in a lot of time to complete the other 72 events required.
Obviously, completing events with just three fighters is preferable, as you’ll be able to complete 100 of those much faster than any other tower height.
Keep at it, and eventually, you should come away with a lot of gear unlocks and the Pulling Overtime trophy!
Feel The Power
Reach level 35 in Player XP
After completing 100% of the story, plenty of Versus Matches, and one hundred Multiverse events, you should be at or around Player Level 35 from the XP earned. Player Level is account-wide, separate from individual Character Levels, and will increase slightly via Player XP earned after every fight.
If not, you will need to farm additional Player XP in the remainder of the Trophy Journey, but you shouldn’t be far off now.
Phase Four – Mother Box Motherlode
Phase Four of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide is a fun phase indeed. By now, you should have collected a hefty haul of Mother Boxes. If you’ve been able to resist temptation up to this point, it’s time to let loose and get opening your Mother boxes.
You should have just enough to unlock the below trophies, but you can farm more Mother Boxes from Multiverse mode or just buy them with Credits.
Mother Box Trophies
So Many Presents
Open 100 Mother Boxes
Go to “Brother Eye Vault” to see all of the Mother Boxes you’ve collected so far. There are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Mother Boxes. The higher the rarity, the better gear you will get.
You’ll need to have at least 100 Mother Boxes to open all at once, or you can open them over time throughout your Trophy Journey. Whatever the case, once you have opened a total of 100, the So Many Presents trophy will unlock.
There’s My Pants
Collect a total of 200 pieces of Common Gear, excluding shaders
When you complete certain events or open a Mother Box, you will receive a piece of Gear. The rarity of the gear is noted next to the name of the character the gear is for.
To unlock the There’s My Pants trophy, you will need to receive a total of at least 200 Pieces of Common Gear throughout your Trophy Journey. Once you’ve done so, the trophy will unlock immediately.
What To Wear?
Collect a total of 100 pieces of Rare Gear, excluding shaders
As with There’s My Pants, when you complete certain events or open a Mother Box, you will receive a piece of Gear. The rarity of the gear is noted next to the name of the character the gear is for.
To unlock the “What To Wear?” trophy, you will need to receive a total of at least 100 Pieces of Rare Gear throughout your Trophy Journey. Once you’ve done so, the trophy will unlock immediately. Rare gear is slightly less common than Common gear, so this trophy will leave you at the mercy of RNG.
Hipster
Collect a total of 50 pieces of Epic Gear, excluding shaders
As with There’s My Pants and What to Wear? when you complete certain events or open a Mother Box, you will receive a piece of Gear. The rarity of the gear is noted next to the name of the character the gear is for.
To unlock the “Hipster” trophy, you will need to receive a total of at least 100 Pieces of Epic Gear throughout your Trophy Journey. Once you’ve done so, the trophy will unlock immediately. Epic gear is much less common than Common or Rare gear, so this trophy will leave you at the mercy of RNG.
Garage Sale
Sell a total of 250 pieces of gear
From the Main Menu, go to “Customize Characters,” then press to switch to the Inventory tab. Here, you can browse all the gear you’ve unlocked, categorized by character.
You can mark items for sale by pressing on them, and then you can press to sell every marked item. You will need to sell a total of 250 Pieces of Gear in this way to unlock the Garage Sale trophy.
If you find yourself needing more gear to sell, use the Credits you receive to purchase more Mother Boxes and then sell the Gear you unlock.
Phase Five – The Dreaded Online Phase
Now to bring the mood down in the fifth phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, where we will be focusing on Online Play… And a lot of it.
If you’ve managed to accumulate a decent level of skill at the game, you may find yourself enjoying this phase even more than previous ones, but those who find the game a challenge may be put off by the tough real-world players they’ll face in this phase.
Not only will you need to pull off some tricky victories and frustratingly specific feats, but there’s a long grind ahead in which you must play literally hundreds of online matches.
Online Trophies
Overlord
Win 5 AI Battle Simulation matches
AI Battle Simulation is a weird online-but-not-really multiplayer-but-not-really mode in which you build a team and then watch it fight another player’s team.
To access it, go to “Multiplayer” from the main menu and then select “AI Battle Simulator.”
Inside, select “Assign Defenders” to put together a team of three fighters, then you can select “Fight” from the AI Battle Simulator menu to start your first fight.
Choose an opponent from the list. You can see their Player Level and the levels of the characters in their team to help aid your decision. Try to find one with significantly lower levels than your own so you can try to ensure a win.
You will need to get a total of 5 wins in this mode to unlock the Overlord trophy. Just keep trying your luck until your team steals victory enough times!
You can push to speed up the simulation, which will help save you some time during this portion of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide.
I Have Friends Now
Join a Guild
From the Main Menu, select “Guilds.” There, choose any Guild you want to join the ranks of its members. Some will have Level Requirements, though, so be wary of that as you choose.
Once you find a Guild you like the look of, just hit to join it, and the “I Have Friends Now” trophy will unlock right away.
Winning Is Fun
Win 10 ranked matches
The Winning is Fun trophy can be one of the most difficult trophies in the entire game depending on your skill level.
You will need to go to Online > Ranked Sets and play against opponents with Competitive Mode on. In competitive mode, gear advantages don’t matter, and all characters are maxed out to Level 20. There, only your skill in combat will help you win.
Unfortunately, you will need to win 10 of these matches in total. The opponents you face here will be some of the best at the game, and the longer you wait to earn the trophy, the fewer players there will be available to play against.
All I can say is just keep at it. If you’re having a hard time, maybe just set a goal of 1 Ranked Win per day until you meet the 10 required to nab the trophy.
Don’t Stop Me Now
Win 50 player matches
Only matches you play via the “Player Match” > “Versus” option in the Online Menu will count towards the Don’t Stop Me Now trophy. King of the Hill and Ranked matches do not count.
You will need to play a total of 50 matches against players you’ve found online and try to achieve a whopping 50 wins. Again, you’re just going to have to keep at it, seek out players with lower levels, and gradually chip away at that goal of 50 total online wins.
You can even see your odds of winning in the Rooms menu when deciding who you would like to face.
A Real Contender
Play 200 online matches
The “A Real Contender” trophy will count every match you play online, win or lose. Just keep playing King of the Hill, Ranked, and Matchmade Matches online until you have completed a grand total of 200 matches. This may even come naturally while you’re chipping away at some of the other trophies in this phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide.
I Voted
Vote correctly 10 times in King of the Hill
King of the Hill is an interesting online game mode in which a large group of players compete to be the “King.” These are “Winner Stays On” rules where you each take it in turns to try and dethrone the current “King” of the Hill.
While spectating matches, you will get an opportunity to vote on who you think the winner will be, the King or the Challenger. To unlock “I Voted” you will need to vote correctly a total of 10 times. It doesn’t need to be in a single match or 10 in a row, just 10 cumulative correct votes throughout your time on the game is enough.
Off With His Head
Dethrone a King 5 times in King of the Hill
In King of the Hill (KOTH) mode, you will play with a group of online players and take turns to dethrone the current champion, winner-stays-on style.
To unlock the “Off With His Head” trophy, you will essentially need to get five wins under your belt in King of the Hill. You don’t need to win the whole match, just five individual fights across your whole time playing Injustice 2.
After your fifth crowning in King of the Hill, the Off With His Head trophy should unlock right away.
Only A Real Master
Beat an opponent online while they still have 90% health and you have 10% or less health remaining
To unlock “Only a Real Master,” you need first to let an opponent reduce your health to 10% or less, all while avoiding reducing their health to anything lower than 90%.
Once you reach that point, you need to make a serious comeback. Start going all-out to defeat your opponent and win the fight. If you’re successful, the trophy will unlock.
This is obviously extremely difficult to pull off with random strangers online, but you’re free to use Private Match to play with a friend and boost the trophy with ease.
Be Pre-Paired
Harley must dethrone an opponent in King Of The Hill with the final hit coming from Double-Trouble
The Be Pre-Paired trophy is a bit of a pain because there are quite a lot of variables to try and control. However, if you have a friend with a copy of Injustice 2, you can both open “Private Match” in the Online Mode menu, then start a private King of the Hill match together to boost the trophy easily.
To begin, just start playing King of the Hill as Harley Quinn. Once it is your turn to try and dethrone the king, spend the fight doing your best to reduce their health to around 5%. Once ready, hold Circle to use both of your Special Meters immediately, sending both of your Attack Hyenas at your opponent.
If the attack finishes them off, the Be Pre-Paired trophy will unlock!
Phase Six – That Stupid Catwoman Trophy
In this next phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, you should have pretty much every trophy except for one very specific, very annoying, and extremely rare trophy. This trophy requires you to have access to a specific randomly-distributed ability unlock and then to pull off a very specific series of events.
RNG plays a huge role here. Either you’ll be able to complete this trophy the moment you reach this point in your Trophy Journey or–more likely–you haven’t unlocked the ability you need and will need to farm Mother Boxes until one drops it.
Cat Fight
Cat Fight
Catwoman must defeat Cheetah with the final hit coming from Cat Call
To unlock the Cat Fight trophy, you first need to unlock Catwoman’s “Cat Call” ability. This ability is a random Epic-level drop from Mother Boxes. The best Mother Boxes to farm for this ability are Gold Motherboxes because they have a higher chance of dropping Epic Gear and, therefore, abilities too.
You’re also more likely to get Epic drops from fights when using a higher-level character, so farming Gear with Level 20 Characters is recommended.
Another method you can use is to go into the “Legendary Multiverse” option and press to select Catwoman.
Complete the “Just Kitten” Multiverse Event for Catwoman to be guaranteed an Ability unlock after each attempt. You can replay the mission for 50,000 Guild Crystals. Unfortunately, you’ll need to have a Level 20 Catwoman to start the event.
The chances of it dropping are extremely low, so expect to be farming boxes for hours, but the latter method has the highest chances of giving the unlock you need.
Once you finally have the Cat Call Ability, set up a match with the following settings:
Setup | Ideal Setting |
---|---|
Player’s Character | Catwoman (with Cat Call Ability) |
Opponent | Cheetah |
Difficulty | Very Easy |
Map | Any |
Arena | Any |
Concentrate on lowering Cheetah’s HP to around 5%, and then approach her and input the combo to activate Cat Call.
If you successfully finish Cheetah off with the Cat Call ability, the “Cat Fight” trophy will unlock.
Phase Seven – Level Grind Cleanup
In the final phase of our Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, you should just need to complete a few more fights with each character to earn the last few levels they need.
The end goal here is to reach Level 20 with each character, and depending on how much you’ve switched things up until now, you may or may not have another grind ahead of you.
All Characters Level 20
Master Of All Trades
Reach level 20 with all characters
Each time you complete a fight with a character, that character’s Level will increase. Higher-level characters have stronger stats, can use higher-level gear, and will spawn higher-level gear drops upon victory.
To unlock the Master Of All Trades trophy, you are going to need to farm enough XP with each character to reach Level 20. You’ll have made some progress so far, especially after all the Multiverse and Online matches, but don’t be surprised if you still find yourself farming XP for hours on end even after earning every other trophy.
Plat Get!
World Destroyer
Complete all Trophies
Once you have acquired every other trophy in this Injustice 2 Trophy Guide, the “World Destroyer” platinum trophy will unlock.
