Trophy Guide

Knockout City Trophy Guide and Road Map for PS4 & PS5

Welcome to our Knockout City Trophy Guide.

Knockout City is a “Dodgebrawl” game; dodgeball with the action dial turned up to 11. In it, you’ll participate in exciting and violent matches where your goal is to hit every opponent with a ball twice to knock them out.

Using a combination of fast reflexes, randomly assigned “Special Balls,” and–most importantly–teamwork, win matches and earn cosmetics on the road to the elusive (and unfortunately quite buggy) Knockout City Platinum Trophy.

Knockout City Trophy Guide: Before You Begin

Glitched Trophies

The trophies in Knockout City have an unfortunate propensity for bugging out. Not every trophy is affected, but any trophy where you need to do anything a set number of times, i.e., complete 100 contracts, score 1000 Knockouts, roll 100 kilometers, all have a high chance of bugging on you.

As described by a Knockout City developer, the reason for this is that the game tracks trophy progress server-side in the same way that it tracks Contract progress. However, there’s a server-side issue where the tracking for contracts sometimes gets reset. This doesn’t happen to everybody, but the longer you take to reach one of these milestones, the higher the chances are of a glitch occurring.

However, that same developer claimed that there are 2 developers at Velan Studios who are dedicated to rebuilding the system for tracking Contracts (and, subsequently, trophies). They suggested these fixes may come in a future patch to be expected within the next two months.

If they’re correct, Velan should have completely resolved the game’s trophy issues by around January 2022. At the time of writing (November 2021), these issues are still prominent and affect many players, but MrZhangetsu and I have experienced no issues playing the PS5 version.

Online Play

Though Knockout City has a training mode where you can play alone and private lobby options, trophies can only be earned online unless specifically described as being intended for another mode, like the Tutorial trophy and the one for tackling the training dummy off the Hideout’s roof.

Unfortunately, this means that you can’t cheese or boost any of the more grindy trophies by creating private lobbies or playing against bots; you will need to engage in online matchmaking actively (with a few friends if you wish).

Faster Matchmaking

While working on trophies, you’re going to want to be able to fit as many games as possible into any given amount of time. To help speed things up, I just have one small tip about matchmaking.

After each match, you’re made to sit through a 60-second timer before matchmaking starts again. This is to ensure that everyone in your group has time to check their stats, level-up rewards, and contract progress, but sometimes you just want to get on with it.

If you press to cancel matchmaking, then press it again to start matchmaking back up, you will be able to skip this countdown and start matchmaking again immediately.

Phase One – Complete the Tutorials

The best way to kick off your time in Knockout City is to play the tutorials and learn how the game works. During this introductory phase of out Knockout City guide, you’ll focus on completing the tutorials to unlock the True Talent trophy, as well as learning many valuable tricks along the way, including;

  • Using and to throw Lob Shots and Curveballs.
  • Using to fake-throw and throw off people’s catch timing.
  • Using to catch balls thrown at you.
  • Using to tackle and dodge.
  • The unique quirks of some maps and how they can help you win.

Tutorial Trophy

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
True Talent

Complete the first 5 Training Levels

Online

There are eight Training Levels in total and you will only need to complete five of them to unlock the True Talent trophy.

The game will tell you about the Training Levels every time you log in until you complete them, so you will likely end up doing these. You cannot do them with a friend, though, they can only be done alone.

You can start the training levels either from the pop-up about them or via the pause menu while at the Hideout.

Phase Two – Map & Ball Trophies

The rest of your Knockout City Platinum journey is essentially going to be endless match-after-match gameplay. Your main objectives are just to get in as much time as possible to earn experience, collect rewards, and complete the most grind-heavy trophies in this Knockout City Trophy Guide.

However, before you fall down that rabbit hole, there are a few trophies that you don’t need to grind for, trophies that you can actively attempt to earn, so I would suggest prioritizing these for now.

In this section, you will find the trophies tied either to specific maps or specific special balls. You’ll just want to matchmaker until you get a match with the relevant map or ball active.

Map- and Ball-Specific Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
No Escape

Throw a Caged player off the map

Online Multiplayer

A Cage Ball is a round metal frame with flashing red and blue lights on it. When you pick one up, it will make a police siren sound.

When you throw a Cage Ball at an opponent and successfully hit them with it, they’ll be trapped inside the ball. You can then pick up the caged opponent and throw them like a regular ball for a short time before they’re released.

To unlock the No Escape trophy, you should grab a caged opponent and then throw them off the stage. I recommend pressing before releasing your throw to lob the player off the map, causing them to fall downwards faster. If you throw them high and straight then they may get out and glide back to safety.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Blast Off

KO two opponents with a single Bomb ball

Online Multiplayer

For the Blast Off trophy, you will need a game where Bomb Balls are the special ball for the match. Keep matchmaking until you get a match with Bomb Balls, and then you need to try and get two KOs at once with one.

A Bomb Ball explosion will deal one heart of damage, so you’ll need to throw it at two players who are close together and have only one heart left.

This will take a lot of luck, but once you successfully get two KO finishes with a single Bomb Ball, the Blast Off trophy will unlock.

Interestingly, as you’ll see in this trophy video, you can earn the trophy by killing an opponent and a teammate simultaneously. Oops.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
High Score

Score 3 Hits with a Multi Ball in quick succession

Online Multiplayer

The High Score trophy can be a very difficult one to earn. Whenever you pick up a Multiball you will get three balls, one in your hand and 2 which will orbit you. Each time you throw or pass one of the balls, another will come to your hand until you’ve used all three.

To unlock High Score, you will need to land a hit with all three balls in quick succession by rapidly tapping . This will very heavily rely on luck as most players will catch at least one of the balls so the chances of hitting at least two different players multiple times is pretty low unless they’re particularly bad.

The way that I secured this trophy was to always rapid-fire Multiballs whenever I was near 2 or more enemies, just to test my chances, and eventually it worked out!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Catching Bullets

Catch a Sniper Shot

Online Multiplayer

Sniper Balls look like an American football or rugby ball. When locked onto an opponent with a full charge, they will be thrown at a very high velocity, similar to a bullet. This is called a Sniper Shot.

To unlock the Catching Bullets trophy, you will need to use with correct timing to catch a fully-charged Sniper Shot before it hits you.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
One Small Step for Man

Be airborne for 30 seconds straight while holding a Moon Ball

Online Multiplayer

The One Small Step for Man trophy can be earned in the Hideout, so you don’t even need to attempt this in a match. Simply grab the Moon Ball from the spawner next to the Training Dummy and then jump up onto the roof of the tallest building where the radio tower is.

From up there, jump into the air and then begin gliding by press in mid-air. Then you just need to maintain your glide for a full thirty seconds. The trophy will then pop once you’ve been airborne for long enough!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Get Off My Lawn

In the Hideout, tackle the T.A.R.G.E.T. Dummy off the roof

Online Multiplayer

There is a training dummy robot on which you can practice throwing and catching on the smaller rooftop in The Hideout (the lobby area where you and your friends can hang out and customize before a match).

To unlock the Get Off My Lawn trophy, you just need to tackle this robot’s side, to send him flying off the roof. This might take a couple of tries to get the angle right, but once you successfully knock him off the trophy will unlock.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
You Shall Not Pass

In Rooftop Rumble, KO Finish 3 players without leaving the bridge

Online Multiplayer

In the Rooftop Rumble stage, there’s a flat bridge that links the two rooftops, made of scrap.

For the You Shall Not Pass trophy, you will need to get three KOs in a row without leaving the bridge. You need to be careful, as catching a ball, dodging, and getting hit can all make you fall off or leave the bridge’s bounds.

We found that the best way to achieve this is to have a friend or two ball up on the bridge with you so that you can do an Ultimate throw (fully charge while holding an ally player) and one-hit KO one or more enemies.

Your friend can then return to you after each Ultimate Throw and ball up again until you manage to hit the whole team using Ultimate Throws from the bridge, unlocking the trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Earning Miles

In Rooftop Rumble, glide from the Bandstand to the Gardens

Online Multiplayer

In the Rooftop Rumble stage, you will need to glide from the stage all the way to the garden at the opposite side of the level, on the opposite rooftop. This can be difficult to achieve and you’ll definitely need to use the updraft between the two buildings to maintain height.

The easiest way to achieve this trophy is to ball up and have a friend pick you up and throw you straight up into the air from the stage.

Then, you will just need to begin gliding and make your way to the garden. The trophy should unlock when you land.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Wreck ‘Em!

In Concussion Yard, KO Finish an opponent while riding the Wrecking Ball

Online Multiplayer

In the Construction Yard stage, there’s a huge wrecking ball at the center of the map. If you climb the surrounding scaffolding, you can get onto the yellow platform at the top of the wrecking ball, but you must be careful not to touch the sides of the ball or you will be violently thrown in the opposite direction.

Once on top of the wrecking ball, you will need to hit a player with a ball and specifically KO them to unlock the Wreck ‘Em! trophy.

If you have a friend to play with they could help you by passing balls up to you, so you can just stay in place and throw them in an attempt to KO an opponent.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Pendulum

In Concussion Yard, ride the wrecking ball in for 15 seconds straight

Online Multiplayer

Look for the huge swinging wrecking ball at the center of the Concussion Yard map. By climbing the surrounding structures, you can jump onto the yellow platform at the top of the wrecking ball and safely ride it. Be careful not to touch the sides, or you’ll be thrown in the opposite direction.

Once on top of the wrecking ball, stay there for 15 seconds without jumping off, or getting knocked off. Try to stay at the center of the platform, because catching balls from up there can actually knock you back far enough to fall off.

The Pendulum trophy will unlock once you’ve successfully held your ground up there for 15 consecutive seconds.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Hit and Run

In Knockout Roundabout, KO Finish an opponent while riding a car

Online Multiplayer

In the Knockout Roundabout stage, there’s a large oval roundabout that makes up the entire level. This circular road to nowhere is filled with hovercars trapped in an endless cycle of absolutely nothing.

To unlock the Hit and Run trophy, you will need to land the finishing blow on an opponent with a ball that was thrown while standing on one of these vehicles.

Interestingly, MrZhangetsu was able to unlock this trophy by getting a KO in mid-air before landing on a car by chance.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Traffic Circle

In Knockout Roundabout, ride a car all the way around

Online Multiplayer

Knockout Roundabout is a map that takes place entirely on an oval-shaped roundabout. To unlock the Traffic Circle trophy you just need to stand on one of the hover cars in this stage and then stay on it until the car has driven a full circuit of the road.

This can be tricky with people constantly trying to hit you so there’s a little luck involved in making it the full way.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Taking Out the Trash

In Galaxy Burger, KO Finish an opponent with a trash chute

Online Multiplayer

In the Galaxy Burger stage, there are several structures around the edge of the map, which have small alcoves covered by safety railing. Behind and below these railings, there’s a “trash chute”, which you will need for this trophy and Garbage Disposal.

To unlock the very difficult-to-achieve Taking Out the Trash trophy, you will need to throw an opponent into one of these chutes. The easiest (though still difficult) way to achieve this is to matchmake until you get this map with the Cage Ball active.

You will need to hit an opponent with a Cage Ball, forcing them to ball up, then pick up the caged opponent and throw them into one of the trash chutes, KOing them.

This is a bit easier with a friend, as you’ll see from my trophy video:

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Garbage Disposal

In Galaxy Burger, fall through a trash chute

Online Multiplayer

As with the Taking Out the Trash trophy, you will need to use the trash chutes found in the side of the faux rock structures around the edge of the Galaxy Burger map.

Essentially, for the Garbage Disposal trophy, you just need to die by falling into a trash chute. However, jumping into one doesn’t appear to work at all. Instead, you need to be thrown in there. This is arguably much more difficult than Taking Out the Trash, as the chances of someone else earning that trophy using you are painfully small and there’s little you can do to actively force this to happen.

That being said, MrZhangetsu and I made the exciting discovery that you can earn this trophy by having a teammate throw you into a trash chute! So, as long as you have a friend to play with who is willing to throw you into the trash chute, you can just ball up and ask them to dispose of you.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Hasta Luego!

In Back Alley Brawl, Avoid a thrown dodgeball by entering a Tube

Online Multiplayer

In the Back Alley Brawl stage, there are two huge tubes that span the entire map. Each tube has a vacuum at one end, which will suck you up into the pipe when you’re standing under it, taking you to the exact opposite side.

To unlock Hasta Luego!, you will need to wait by one of these suction ends of the pipe, and wait for a player to lock onto and then throw a ball at you. Instead of catching the ball, press to dodge into the pipe’s suction field, escaping the ball via the tube.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Dangerous Delivery

In Back Alley Brawl, throw a ticking Bomb Ball into a Tube

Online Multiplayer

For the Dangerous Delivery trophy, you will need to play matches until you get one that has both the Back Alley Brawl stage and the Bomb Ball special ball active.

Once those conditions are met, find a Bomb Ball and bring it to the suction end of one of the huge tubes on the map. Throw the ball into the tube while it is ticking and the trophy should unlock.

Phase Three – Grind to the Platinum

We’re in the endgame now. During this final phase of our Knockout City Trophy Guide, it’s time to grind!

You will need to complete a lot of contracts, earn a lot of experience, and unlock a lot of cosmetics. The length of this phase is unfortunately dictated by the Daily Doer trophy, which requires you to complete 100 Daily Contracts. Only three contracts spawn per day, so if you log in every day to complete all three, you’re still looking at 34 days of daily play before you can achieve this trophy.

So, when you’re coming online every single day to make progress towards that, you can be focusing on earning experience and unlocking cosmetics to collect the other trophies too.

Welcome to the Big Leagues

Earn 250,000 XP

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Cumulative

Unlocking Welcome to the Big Leagues is going to mean earning a lot of XP. This long grind to the required 250,000 XP will probably be the longest in your Platinum Journey. There are several ways to earn XP and boost how quickly you earn XP in Knockout City.

To help you get your grind on, here are a few examples:

  • You will earn XP at the end of every match. How much XP depends on your performance; KOs, Passes, Teamplay, Survival, whether or not your team won, and whether or not you were the MVP of the match.
  • Completing some Contracts will award you up to 3,000 XP, so always be trying to complete contracts.
  • Some Brawl Pass rewards are XP boosts, which will increase the amount of XP you earn from each match.
  • You will get Energy Drinks as rewards rather frequently. These Energy Drinks boost your XP for doing certain things like landing curve shots or getting Ultimate Throw KOs. You should carefully inspect each Energy Drink’s effects and apply the ones that suit your playstyle best. Energy Drinks last for one hour.

We found that the trophy unlocks at around Street Rank 20 in Bronze Tier (Street Rank 120 overall).

Honestly, though, the Contract Trophies will probably take you longer, and you may well earn this trophy along the way.

Match Trophies

Trophy Image

Squad Up

Play 30 matches while grouped with a Friend

Online Co-op

The Squad Up trophy will unlock after playing 30 matches while grouped with at least one friend. You do not need to win those matches, even losing 30 matches will earn you the trophy.

To add a friend to your group, pause the game at the hideout and then press to bring up the social menu.

Once a friend is in your group, select “Play” from the pause menu and play whichever mode you like. Complete any 30 matches and the trophy is yours.

The Tag Team Victory trophy will unlock once you have won 10 matches specifically while grouped with at least one friend. See Squad Up for more info on playing with friends.

Making Waves

Win 5 matches while grouped with a Crewmate

Online Co-op

Cumulative

To unlock the Making Waves trophy, you need to win a total of 5 matches with a friend who is in your crew.

So, you will first need a crew. Either join an established crew or create a crew of your own from the “Your Crew” option in the pause menu while at the Hideout. Then, while in a group containing one or more crewmates, matchmaker until you win 5 matches.

Trophy Image

True Brawler

Play 100 matches

Online Multiplayer

The True Brawler trophy should unlock after you’ve completed your 100th match, regardless of whether you have won or lost those matches.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Most Valuable Player

Be the MVP of a three or four player team 5 times

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

In Knockout City, when you have the best stats of any player in a match, you’ll be named MVP on the results screen at the end of the match.

To unlock the Most Valuable Player trophy, you will need to achieve this a total of 5 times. Note that being named MVP in 2v2 or free-for-all matches won’t count towards this trophy. Only being named MVP on game modes in which you’re part of a three or four-player team will be counted.

You can track progress towards this via a Career Contract:

Star on the Rise

Win 30 matches

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

The Star on the Rise trophy will unlock after you win 30 matches. You can do this in any game mode, with any number of friends or crew mates, the only thing that matters is that you actually win matches.

Depending on how good you are, you may need a decent team to back you up, so consider playing with friends otherwise you will end up just matchmaking until you get lucky.

You can track progress towards this trophy via a Career Contract:

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Overwhelming Victory

Win 10 rounds with five times the opponent’s score

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

The Overwhelming Victory trophy is going to require either a lot of luck or an incredibly good team. Essentially, you will need to finish five separate rounds with 5 times as much score as your opponent. In standard 3v3 first to 10 gameplay, this means having 10 points while your opponents have only 1 or 2 points.

This obviously will change depending on the rules of the game mode you’re choosing to play. First to 15 matches, for example, will require you to get 15 points while your opponents get only 3 or less.

Once you’ve succeeded in doing this five times throughout your time on Knockout City, the Overwhelming Victory trophy is all yours.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Invincible

Win a match without being KO’d

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

Unlocking the Invincible trophy will require quite a lot of luck, or some dedication and skill. You will need to win an entire match (so, up to three rounds depending on the game mode) without ever getting KO’d.

You will often see people attempting to earn this trophy by avoiding conflict the whole match, but it is rare that a team ever wins a match when one of the teammates is running around the map not being useful at all.

Instead of doing that and annoying your whole team, you could just play support; find balls for your teammates and pass them (see Passing Prodigy) or just play as normal and hope that you get a really bad opposing team of players who don’t even know how to catch yet.

After a lot of practice and a decent measure of luck, the stars should eventually align, resulting in you having the perfect conditions for a completely flawless match. In that case, provided your team actually wins the match, and you didn’t get KO’d a single time, the Invincible trophy is yours.

I found that a good place for this was the lower ranks in Ranked League Play, but if you’ve already gained a few ranks you’ll likely be facing more competent players.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Passing Prodigy

Win a match without throwing a single dodgeball – Passing is allowed!

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

The Passing Prodigy trophy can be difficult to acquire because you’ll need a pretty competent team as well as some particularly bad opponents. The idea here is that you basically cannot use to throw balls or allies at all. The only thing you can do is to pass with .

So, you should go around the map gathering balls for your teammates and then passing to them to help out and get plenty of assist KOs and help them win the match.

If you have a good team of friends to help you make this possible then you should have a fairly easy time, but if you keep getting stuck with bad players via matchmaking then this may take you a while to achieve.

Contract Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Daily Doer

Complete 100 Daily Contracts

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Daily Contracts are found in the “Daily” tab of the contracts menu. Open the contracts menu either in a lobby or from the Hideout pause menu by pressing .

You will get three new daily contracts every 24 hours and will need to complete the requirements for 100 of these to unlock the Daily Doer trophy. That means this trophy will take 34 days at least.

The biggest problem with this trophy is indeed how long it takes. The contracts themselves are pretty easy, usually possible to complete within just under an hour. The fact that this trophy spans over at least 34 days, however, means that it is more likely to glitch. As explained in this section of our Knockout City Trophy Guide, the longer a trophy takes, the more chance there is of your progress randomly resetting at the server-side.

Because of this, there are myriad reports of poor souls who have completed almost 200 daily contracts with no sign of the trophy unlocking. However, this should be fixed in a future patch (expected around January 2022), when the tracking system will be overhauled.

Trophy Image

Crew Completer

Complete 30 Crew Contracts

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Access your contracts by pressing in the lobby or in the pause menu at the Hideout. Under one of the tabs, you will find Crew Contracts. In here, some of the contracts will renew every week, and others renew every season.

To unlock Crew Completer, you will need to complete the requirements for 30 Crew Contracts in total. Because there are never going to be 30 available Crew Contracts at once, you will need to revisit the game each week to view and complete new contracts.

Note that progress on these contracts is made by all players in the crew, so it’s possible for your crewmates to complete these for you while you’re offline!

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Event Evangelist

Complete 5 Event Contracts

Online Multiplayer

Contracts can be viewed by pressing either in a lobby or from the pause menu in the hideout. Under one of the tabs, you will find contracts tied to the current event (at the time of writing this way the Royale Rumble event).

To unlock the Event Evangelist trophy, you will need to complete the requirements for 5 event contracts.

Trophy Image

To unlock the Sensational Season trophy, you must complete the requirements for 5 of these contracts.

Trophy Image

Career Brawler

Complete 100 Contracts

Grind

Online Multiplayer

View your contracts by opening the Contract menu with either from a lobby or the Hideout’s pause menu. Inside, you will find many contracts under various categories; Tutorial Contracts, Daily Contracts, Crew Contracts, Event Contracts, Season Contracts, Career Contracts, and potentially more.

There are and always should be well over 100 contracts to complete, so just keep chipping away at them and working on the other Contract Trophies in this phase of our Knockout City Trophy Guide until you complete your 100th contract. This trophy should unlock well before the Daily Doer contract does.

Milestone Trophies

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Knockout Master

Score 1000 KOs

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Cumulative

To unlock the Knockout Master trophy, you will need to land a total of 1,000 KOs. That doesn’t just mean hitting an opponent with a ball, it must knock them out to count.

I unlocked this trophy with 662 KOs on record, but with 338 KO Assists too, so I believe the KO Assists count towards this trophy too. You can track these stats via Career Contracts:

My best advice for earning this trophy is just to play the game as much as you care to. Getting knockouts is the aim of the game, right? So it should stand to reason that the longer you play, the higher your chances of unlocking this trophy.

In a standard 3v3 match, the point goal is 10. So if you scored every KO in the match, you would still be looking at only 10 KOs in every round you play, meaning you will need to play well over 50 matches, assuming you get a lot of KOs. Otherwise, you could be looking at 100-200 matches to earn this trophy.

Trophy Image

Catch-o-matic

Catch 1000 dodgeballs

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Skill-based

Cumulative

When a ball is thrown at you in Knockout City, you can catch it by hitting with good timing. This is an integral part of gameplay, but some players choose to dodge all balls instead of attempting to catch some as the timing can be intimidating at first.

I would urge you to practice catching with a friend or the hideout dummy until you start to feel more confident, as you will need to catch as many balls as you can throughout your trophy journey and ensure you’re always making progress towards the whopping 1,000 catches you need to make to earn the Catch-o-matic trophy.

You can track your dodgeball catches via a Career Contract:

Note that though you can perform a “Perfect Catch” by pressing with exceptional timing, that is not a requirement of this trophy.

Trophy Image
Trophy Image
Point Guard

Score 1000 KO Assists

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Cumulative

In Knockout City, there are three ways to get a KO Assist:

  • if you hit an opponent and reduce their health to just one heart before a teammate finishes them off, this will count as a KO Assist.
  • Tackle an opponent just before a teammate KOs them and you will get a KO Assist.
  • Pass a ball to a teammate which is then immediately used to KO an opponent.

To unlock the Point Guard trophy, you will need to achieve 1000 KO Assists throughout your time on the game. I found this harder to earn than the Knockout Master trophy, mostly because KO Assists also count towards Knockout Master, but only Assists are totaled for the Point Guard trophy.

You can track your KO Assists via a Career Contract:

Your best bet at earning this trophy is to spend pretty much every match either targeting only enemies with two hearts, or constantly passing balls to your teammates and hoping they get KOs with them. The latter will help a lot with the Passing Prodigy trophy.

Boom Goes the Dynamite

Score 100 KO Finishes with Ultimate Throws

Grind

Online Multiplayer

In Knockout City, when you have grabbed a player who has balled up , you can hold until they become surrounded in a purple hologram, indicating that you have charged an Ultimate Throw.

When you throw your charged-up teammate by releasing , they will soar through the air with a top-down view of the enemies below, able to guide themselves and causing an explosion when they land. Any enemies caught in this explosion will be immediately Knocked Out.

To unlock Boom Goes the Dynamite, you will need to work with your teammates to get 100 KOs in this way throughout your time on the game.

You can track how many Ultimate Throw KOs you’ve achieved so far via a Career Contract:

Rollin’ Round the City

Travel 100km in ballform

Grind

Online Multiplayer

Cumulative

During gameplay, you can hold to roll up into ballform. While in ballform, other players can grab and throw you, and you will move ever so slightly faster than running.

To unlock the Rollin’ Round the City trophy, you must travel a cumulative total of 100 kilometers while in ballform. Just use ballform to get around while playing for a few matches, but be careful not to let opponent players grab and throw you!

Unfortunately, there’s no way to track this, and it seems particularly prone to bugging, so you’ll want to be extra vigilant about rolling as much as possible to ensure you’re constantly putting in as many km as possible.

You can boost your progress by approximately 3km by spending an entire match using the pipes to travel around in Back Alley Brawl, but you will essentially need to do nothing but running from pipe-to-pipe so will most likely lose those matches. That being said, you will have been playing the game for so long by that point that I doubt you will care whether you win or not as long as you get a few more kilometers.

Additionally, being carried or thrown by your teammates (including Ultimate Throws) all help towards this trophy.

The Unstoppable trophy often goes hand-in-hand with the Invincible trophy as they both require you to avoid getting KO’d, and you may indeed earn both trophies at the same time.

To unlock Unstoppable, you must KO 10 other players by hitting them with balls when they have only one heart left, all while not getting KO’d yourself. The 10 KO’s don’t need to be achieved in the same round or match, as long as you don’t get KO’d in-between.

Outfit Trophies

Walk-In Closet

Win matches with 10 unique Outfits

Online Multiplayer

Cumulative

The Walk-In Closet can take quite a long time to achieve, and may require a bit of manual tracking. You will first need to unlock 10 unique Outfits and then you’ll need to win a match with each one equipped.

So, you will essentially want to return to the Hideout after each match that you win. Then, go to the Character Customization option in the pause menu and change your outfit before heading back out again.

Repeat this 10 times until you have won a match with each of your 10 outfits equipped, the Walk-In Closet trophy will then unlock.

There are several things to note for this trophy in particular:

  • Using different styles of the same outfit does not count, it needs to be 10 totally unique outfits.
  • Equipping different outfits on your three characters and then switching character between matches doesn’t seem to work. You will need to keep the same character active and swap the outfits out on that specific character each time.
  • The rarity of the outfit equipped does not matter.

Fashion Statement

Win a match while having an Uncommon (or rarer) accessory equipped in each slot

Online Multiplayer

To unlock the Fashion Statement trophy, you will need to open the Character Customization menu from the Hideout, and then equip items that are uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), or Legendary (gold) in every slot.

To be clear, you will need to equip uncommon (or rarer) items in the following slots:

  • Player Icon
  • Outfit
  • Body
  • Face
  • Hairstyle
  • Glasses
  • Gloves
  • Glider
  • Ultimate Hologram
  • KO Effect
  • Taunt
  • Intro Pose
  • Victory Pose
  • Defeat Pose
  • MVP Pose

You can unlock more items by leveling up your Street Rank and your Brawl Pass Level. Once you have a full uncommon or better set of items equipped, you will then need to win a match. Once you do so, the Fashion Statement trophy will unlock.

Fancy Duds

Win a match while having a Legendary Outfit equipped

Online Multiplayer

You can often find Legendary Outfits either in the Brawl Shop, in the Brawl Pass, or as a level-up reward. The images for Legendary Outfits have a yellow triangle in the corner to help you identify them.

However you choose to do so, once you’ve acquired a Legendary Outfit, you should equip it and then attempt to win a match. If you are successful while wearing your Legendary Outfit item, the Fancy Duds trophy will unlock.

Stylin’ and Profilin’

Win matches with each Style of an Outfit

Online Multiplayer

While customizing your character, in the Outfit menu, you can press on an outfit to change the style. You can purchase new styles for an outfit by spending Style Chips, which can either be purchased from the Brawl shop or unlocked as rewards from leveling up and completing contracts.

The higher the rarity of the outfit, the more chips you will need for a new style. The alternative styles for the four basic outfits you start with cost only 1 style chip each.

To unlock the Stylin’ and Profilin’ trophy, you must first unlock all four styles for a single outfit. Then, what you will need to do is win four matches (not necessarily back-to-back), changing outfit style after each win until you’ve won one match with each style equipped.

Leg and Dairy

Win a match while having 5 or more Legendary accessories equipped

Grind

Online Multiplayer

To unlock the Leg and Dairy trophy, you must win a match while having five or more cosmetic items with Legendary rarity equipped at once. This includes things like, Avatars, Taunts, Intro poses, MVP poses, and potentially even Crew Logos (it worked for us!).

Once you have managed to earn or purchase enough Legendary cosmetic items, equip them all at once on your character and then go into matchmaking until you win a match. Upon successfully doing so, you will unlock the Leg and Dairy trophy.

Honestly, you will find yourself needing to get a Legendary Outfit, Legendary Gloves, Legendary Glasses, and a Legendary Glider throughout this Knockout City trophy guide anyway, so you’re likely to have everything you need towards the end of your trophy journey.

If you have money to spare, you should check out the bundles in the store, as these often include more than one Legendary item.

Fashionista

Win matches with 20 Outfit and/or Glove Styles

Grind

Online Multiplayer

The Fashionista Trophy is similar to Stylin’ and Profilin’ in that it pertains to Outfit Styles. When looking at an Outfit or Gloves in the customizer, press to select a new style to equip. Styles cost Style Chips, which you can purchase from the Brawl Shop or unlock as Brawl Pass/Contract/Level Up rewards.

To unlock Fashionista, you will need to win matches with 20 different Styles equipped. The best process for this is to return to the Hideout after every match you win and then open the Character Customization from the pause menu. Then, select/purchase a new Outfit and/or Glove style and equip it.

Head back out until you get another win and then return to the hideout to repeat. Do this for every win until the trophy unlocks.

The basic style for each Outfit or set of Gloves counts towards this trophy, so if you wanted to save your Style Chips you could just use 20 Unique outfits/Glove sets, similar to the Walk-In Closet trophy.

Win a match while having Legendary Glasses equipped

Online Multiplayer

Before you can unlock the Optomendary trophy, you will need to unlock a set of Legendary glasses, either by earning them from Brawl Pass, earning them as a Level-up reward, or buying them from the Brawl Shop.

Once you have a set of Legendary glasses, equip them via the Character Customizer and then start playing online until you win a match. The trophy will then unlock.
