Heavenly Bodies Guide and Road Map for PS4 & PS5
Welcome to our Heavenly Bodies Trophy Guide. Heavenly Bodies is a co-op game about two astronauts completing various tasks onboard their space station. However, you must use your arms and hands to fling you around as there is no gravity. You can choose to play solo if that’s how you prefer to play, but with no friends to accompany you, nobody will hear you scream (from frustration). Heavenly Bodies is available on PS4 & PS5.
Phase One – Complete All 7 Levels & Collect All Collectibles
Phase one of our Heavenly Bodies Trophy Guide is rather light. Your only goal is to get to know the game and collect the single collectible in each of the 7 levels. These collectibles are usually hidden outside of whatever ship you’re currently in, and will often shine letting you know it’s “grabbable”. Once you grab a collectible you have to drag it back to the Comms Terminal to properly “collect” it (except for level 06. Energy & 07. Evacuation). Check out the Collectibles Section for the locations of each collectible.
To make grabbing these collectibles easier, it’s advised to play through this phase while on “Assisted” difficulty. This makes getting around much easier as holding & in the same direction will make your astronaut kick their legs and “swim” through space giving you momentum.
Each level will have a small list of extra challenges for you to complete (with one of the challenges being “finish the level in Newtonian mode”) which you are free to tackle on your first playthrough if you’d like, but to limit how much you have to worry about and to get a better idea of the game it’s best if you ignore them for now. That being said, you might find yourself naturally completing a few of them during this phase.

Proud Souvenirs
Find all the mission collectables.
There is one collectible hidden in each of the 7 levels in Heavenly Bodies. You must find them—they will shimmer periodically letting you know they’re grabbable—and take them back to the Comms Terminal. However, level 06. Energy only requires you to grab the collectible once, and level 07. Evacuation requires you to take it all the way to the escape pod instead of the Comms Terminal. Below is a guide to each collectible.
It’s advised that you gather all collectibles on Assisted difficulty.
01. Sunlight – Boot
The Boot is fairly easy to spot and collect as you will need to exit the station and manually open a solar panel. Directly beneath this panel is another solar panel with the collectible hiding by the column keeps it attached to the station.
02. Data – Soyuz
The Soyuz can be found at the very top of the communications tower that you have to unfold and sync up. At the very top of the tower is a large radio dish and at the base of the dish—on the right side—is the Soyuz collectible.
03. Vision – Sputnik
The Sputnik collectible can be seen as you are fixing the left grabber arm. However, the only way to get to it is to jam yourself in the service hatch in the middle and send yourself through to the probe assembly room. Do this after you have fully assembled the probe and have opened the bay doors. Once you’re outside swim over to where you spotted the collectible and grab it. You will have to take it back through the service hatch in the probe assembly room to get to the Comms Terminal.
04. Minerals – Golden Disc
The Golden Disc collectible is easily missed in this level as it’s tucked away in the far left corner of the map and players will have to navigate a maze of floating rocks to get to it. Pressing [tapd] will give you access to the Mission Report and a map of the asteroid field. Simply navigate to the question mark that is highlighted in the image below. Once you arrive, leave the ship you’re in and grab the disc. Bring it back inside and at the end of the level remember to take it to the Comms Terminal.
05. Oxygen – Glove
The Glove collectible isn’t too hard to spot or collect. Simply leave via the airlock on the far right of the hydroponic lab and swim up and around to the left of the station to grab the collectible. Bring it back inside and into the Comms Terminal.
06. Energy – Collar
The Collar collectible can be a bit of a hassle to grab as you must use a plunger—which can be found at the beginning of the level and has to be taken to the final room with the generator—to pry open a hatch and the collectible itself will then shoot off as it’s freed. You only need to grab the collectible once in this level for it to count so search the room for the Collar after it flew off.
07. Evacuation – Trophy
The Trophy, like the Collar, is stuck in a hole and you will need to use a tool to get access to it. Luckily, there’s a grabber floating nearby. You will have to get the end of the grabber into the hole and either try to use the jaws to grip the trophy so you can yank it out, or disturb the trophy enough that it floats towards where your hand is so you can grab it (this is the easier method, in my opinion). The difficulty doesn’t stop there as you will then have to carefully take it all the way to the end of the level where the escape pod is waiting.
Phase Two – Complete Most Challenges & Miscellaneous Trophies
For the second phase of our Heavenly Bodies Trophy Guide, you will be tackling every challenge in each of the 7 levels except for the Newtonian challenges. You will also be unlocking the few miscellaneous in Heavenly Bodies.
You can view and track the challenges in each level by pressing to open the mission notes; completed challenges will be crossed out. Arguably the toughest challenge in Heavenly Bodies is for completing 02. Perfect Signal in under 10 minutes. It’s advised that you play through this level a few times to get some practice in as any time spent fumbling trying to remember what to do next is precious time lost.
Lastly, there are a few miscellaneous trophies you can unlock during this phase if you didn’t manage to get them during phase one. These are for doing things such as opening an airlock and causing an explosive decompression, recovering from near death, or planting a flag on an asteroid, etc. Check the descriptions of each trophy in the Miscellaneous Trophies Section for more information.
Challenges
Each level has between 3 challenges except for levels 06 & 07 that have only 2, and 04, which has 4 challenges.
01. Sunlight
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Comms Terminal
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
- Pry open the airlock with a tennis racket
02. Data
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Comms Terminal
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
- Assemble and calibrate the tower in under 10 minutes
Assembling the tower in under 10 minutes can be the trickiest challenge in the whole game. It’s advised to tackle this challenge on Assisted difficulty and with the speedrun timer enabled (timer can be turned on in the gameplay settings). A good tactic is to fully extend the tower before you start calibrating the dishes and antennae. Make sure to plug in all the red cables as you build the tower and unfold any antennae. Once the tower is built, you only have to move the monitor up and calibrate as you go.
03. Vision
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Comms Terminal
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
- Assemble and deploy the Space Telescope without using the crane arms
The trickiest part about assembling the Space Telescope without using the crane arms is trying to fit yourself into the service hatch drawer. It’s not impossible, but you can get limbs trapped and cause the drawer to get stuck. It’s advised not to fix the crane arms at all to avoid accidentally pressing around them.
04. Minerals
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Comms Terminal
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
- Bring an asteroid back to the station
- Redeploy the Space Telescope
Bringing an asteroid back to the station is fairly simple. Just stop your ship near a small rock that you can easily grab and store the rock in your ship. Make sure not to grab too big a rock as it makes getting back inside your ship rather difficult (the one in the screenshot gave me a lot of trouble so pick one smaller than at least that one).
Redeploying the Space Telescope is pretty easy once you find it. Press to open your Mission Report and look at the map. The Question mark in the middle of the asteroid field is the Space Telescope. Park your ship near to it and get out. Hook up a rope to the outside of your ship and to the outside of the Space Telescope. Return inside your ship and hit the thrusters. The Telescope should knock loose.
05. Oxygen
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Comms Terminal
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
- Grow a plant specimen in every bay
There’s nothing too complicated about growing plants in every bay. You will have to grow 10 plants to complete the level anyway; you just need to ignore the game when it tells you to move on and stick around to grow some more plants.
06. Energy
- Find the hidden collectible
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
07. Evacuation
- Take the hidden collectible back to the Escape Pod
- Complete the mission in Newtonian mode
Miscellaneous Trophies
Back From Outer Space
Recover from a near-death experience
The only way to “die” in Heavenly Bodies is by straying too far away from the station or ship. A counter will appear with the words “signal loss” and the screen will go gray when you’re close to dying. To unlock Back From Outer Space, leave the station or ship and “swim” away. When the counter gets to 90, stop and return to the station or ship.
Greetings, Viewers
Film yourself with the film camera.
In level 01. Sunlight there will be a black case that you can grab and open. Inside is a camera that you can use to record yourself with. To unlock Greetings, Viewers, open the black case and grab the camera with , or and hold onto it. The trophy should pop shortly after.
Going Up?
Get into the telescope assembly bay.
Typically, you have to assemble the Space Telescope with the crane arms inside the assembly bay and as such the service hatch drawer isn’t suited for hmans. However, you can jam yourself in there and hit the button with a bit of perseverance. The trophy will likely pop even if you manage to get yourself stuck in the drawer providing some part of your body is over the assembly bay threshold.
Safety First
Safely perform an airlock decompression sequence.
See A Minor Incident
A Minor Incident
Cause an explosive decompression from the airlock.
A Minor Incident and Safety First can be unlocked one after another. There are several sections in Heavenly Bodies where you are required to go outside but the earliest is 01. Sunlight. When you find yourself at the airlock there will be two levers; one will open/close the outermost door, and the other will open/close the innermost door sealing and protecting the pressurised station. To unlock A Minor Incident and Safety First, close the innermost door and then open the outer door to unlock Safety First. Turn around and then open the innermost door and A Minor Incident will unlock. You can close the innermost door again to repressurize the station if you want.
Charting the Stars
Plant a navigation flag into an asteroid.
In 04. Minerals you will be tasked with climbing into a ship and navigating an asteroid field to gather some samples. You can also plant a red flag into one of the larger asteroids. To unlock Charting the Stars, search the cupboard to the right of your ship before you depart the station. Inside will be a red flag that you can store inside your ship. Leave the station in your ship and navigate to the first asteroid you have to drill. Grab your flag, leave the ship, and plant the flag into the surface of the asteroid. You don’t have to do anything special to plant it; just slam the business end into the rock.
Bon Voyage
Eject a gardening tool via the disposal chute.
In 05. Oxygen you will have to do a bit of “astro-farming” inside of a large hydroponics lab with a Comms Terminal in the middle. On the outside of the Comms Terminal on the far left is a trash disposal that you can put the dead sapplings—and other things—in and shoot off into space. To unlock Bon Voyage, grab the trowel from the cupboard that houses the soil bag and take it to the trash disposal shoot. Lock it inside and hit the red button to dispose it.
Phase Three – Complete All 7 Levels with Newtonian Physics
The final phase in our Heavenly Bodies Trophy Guide is dedicated solely to the Newtonian Physics difficulty. This will be frustrating but ultimately shouldn’t pose too much of an issue for you at this point in your trophy journey. You should already know each of the 7 levels inside-out so the only thing holding you back will be the new physics.
In Newtonian mode, you will not be able to kick your legs to gain momentum by holding & in the same direction. Instead, you will need to grab a wall or object and fling yourself in the direction you want to go, and let lack of gravity carry you there. Overshooting your target in Newtonian mode can be heart-breaking as it could mean you have to restart the level so make sure to hook yourself up to a tether—if possible—when venturing outside the safety of your spacecraft.
Since you should have all the Miscellaneous Trophies, Collectibles, and every other Challenge completed by this stage, you don’t have to worry about anything else and will have all the time in the world to finish each level in Newtonian mode. Just take your time, make careful movements, and think ahead and this phase shouldn’t give you too much trouble at all.
Newtonian Trophies
A Classical Mechanic
Complete any level in Newtonian mode.
Newtonian mode is essentially realistic physics mode. This means you can “swim” through space like you can on Assisted and your main form of getting around is by grabbing something solid and yeeting throwing yourself around. This means that any time you have to venture out into the void, leaving the safety of your station/ship, can be dangerous and threaten to end the level early. To avoid situations like this, it’s advise that you gather all the collectibles and complete every other challenge before you attempt to complete every level in Newtonian mode.
