Carrion Trophy Guide and Road Map for PS4 & PS5
Welcome to our Carrion Trophy Guide. Carrion is a very interesting Metroidvania-type indie game, in which you take on the role of an amorphous but sentient mound of flesh. Throughout the game, your amorphous blob will grow and shrink in size to access a range of twisted and satisfying abilities, which you can use to progress, explore, and slaughter your way through the facility.
The trophy journey is pretty much perfect. All you need to do here is experience the story, back-track for some collectibles before the end, and then scoop up some misc trophies on your way out.
Phase One | Reach the End of the Story
In the first phase of our Carrion Trophy Guide, simply focus on enjoying and completing the story. Or, well, coming close if that’s what you’d prefer. There are two approaches you can take, really:
- Play the Game up to the end of the Bunker zone and then grab all of the Collectible Trophies on your way back to the BSL-4 Research Ward, completing everything in a single playthrough.
- Play the entire story until the credits roll, and then continue the game from the main menu. You’ll be brought back to before the game’s climactic moments and can then begin mopping up the Collectible Trophies.
Whatever you choose to do, you can at least focus on the story right up until you unlock the 4 8 15 16 23 42 trophy before you have to decide how you’d prefer to proceed.
If you get lost at any point or simply want more guidance through the game, check out our Carrion Interactive Map, with which you’ll be able to locate anything you need. Even the collectibles for later.
The story campaign follows a pretty consistent Gameplay loop:
- Find the entrance to a new zone in the Frontier
- Find and capture all of the Hives (blue cracks in the wall) in the zone to open the Zone Seal
- Enter the Zone Seal to exit the zone and return to the Frontier.
- Repeat.

In most zones, you’ll also find a new power that can be used to open more routes and complete more puzzles. The game does a really impressive job of not only introducing new abilities at a steady rate, but also of forcing you to learn how they work before you can proceed. It’s incredibly intuitive.
Unmissable Story Trophies
At the start of the game, you’ll unlock the “It’s Alive!” trophy when entering the Frontier Zone from the BSL-4 Research Ward where the game begins. The Frontier acts as a hub between zones so you’ll come back here often.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 2nd zone of the game—The Military Junkyard—will unavoidably unlock the “Machines Can Expire Too” trophy.

The entrance to the first flashback sequence opens in the Frontier after you’ve breached the Military Junkyard zone. As you cannot proceed to the Uranium Mines without viewing this flashback, the “The Derelict” trophy is unmissable.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 3rd zone of the game—The Uranium Mines—will unavoidably unlock the “Claustrophobia” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 4th zone of the game—The Hazardous Waste Landfill—will unavoidably unlock the “Intoxication” trophy.

The entrance to the second flashback sequence opens as you work your way through the Hazardous Waste Landfill zone. As you cannot proceed to the Botanical Gardens without viewing this flashback, the “The Perfect Organism” trophy is unmissable.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 5th zone of the game—The Botanical Gardens—will unavoidably unlock the “There’s Something in Those Trees” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 6th zone of the game—The Leviathan Reef Base—will unavoidably unlock the “We Need to Go Deeper” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 7th zone of the game—The Relith Science HQ—will unavoidably unlock the “Stakeholder Meating” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 8th zone of the game—The Bridge of the Leviathan Reef Base—will unavoidably unlock the “Water Under the Bridge” trophy.

The entrance to the third and final flashback sequence opens as you work your way through the Bridge of the Leviathan Reef Base zone. As you cannot proceed to the Nuclear Power Plant without viewing this flashback, the “Get to the Choppa!” trophy is unmissable.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 9th zone of the game—The Nuclear Power Plant—will unavoidably unlock the “Ionized” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 10th zone of the game—The Armored Warfare Facility—will unavoidably unlock the “War… War Never Changes” trophy.

Returning to the Frontier zone from the 11th zone of the game—The Bunker—will unavoidably unlock the “4 8 15 16 23 42” trophy. This is the final zone of the game.
Now would be a good time to go and grab all of the Collectible Trophies if you want those extra abilities for the final section. However, if you choose to continue the story regardless then you’ll still be able to return to the game after the credits and mop up collectibles with no problem.

After concluding your business at the Bunker, you’ll need to journey back to the very first zone—BSL-4 Research Ward—and end the story campaign there. Upon reaching the campaign’s conclusion, you’ll receive the “The New Reality” trophy.
Phase Two | 100% Completion
By this phase of our Carrion Trophy Guide, you should either have finished the story or have at least earned the 4 8 15 16 23 42 trophy. By that point, you will have all of the skills required to reach all 9 collectibles as well as access to all relevant zones. Your focus now should be to backtrack to each of the collectibles and collect them. You can even use our Carrion Interactive Map again in this stage to help you navigate and locate the collectibles.
That’s all there is to it! Once you have the collectibles, you can finish the story. If you already finished the story, then enjoy your new Carrion Platinum Trophy!
Collectible Trophies
You will earn the “One Monster, One Jar” trophy unavoidably while working on Jared Stults.

You will earn the “Jarring Experience” trophy unavoidably while working on Jared Stults.
You will earn the “Jean-Michel Jar” trophy unavoidably while working on Jared Stults.
There are a total of 9 Containment Units to break in Carrion. Each of them contains a power that you can claim by absorbing the biomass contained within the glass jar. Many of them will require you to return to previous areas with new abilities, so expect a lot of backtracking. The location of hidden Containment Units are indicated via a specific symbols dotted around each map.
As you may have already noticed, however, all 9 Containment Units are clearly marked on our Carrion Interactive Map, so you needn’t find yourself needlessly lost while attempting to track down the collectibles.
Consume the contents of all 9 jars to receive your Jared Stults trophy!

Miscellaneous Trophies
The “A Cerebral Feast” trophy is very likely to unlock naturally as you play, as it is possible to grab a human in such a way that the monster’s first bite will take their head clean off. It’s not even that unlikely to happen.
However, if you do find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing to unlock this trophy manually, try grabbing humans with and then smacking them onto walls and surfaces until their head comes flying off.
Once that happens, grab the head exclusively with , and then bring it up to the creature’s mouth so you can consume it and claim the trophy.

Unlocking the “Flesh of Prey” trophy is incredibly simple; just eat someone!
You can eat humans in Carrion to regain health and biomass. Do so by grabbing them with , pulling them close to the main organism, and then continuing to hold
until the biomass has consumed the human. Consuming humans is the main way to heal and can be a clutch way to increase your biomass where needed, so it’s incredibly unlikely that you’d make it through the whole game without earning this trophy. You’d even earn it while going for A Cerebral Feast.
Note that humans in white bodysuits suits can’t be eaten.

This Guide uses our Trophy Tracking features!
Here on PlatGet, you will sometimes see the new tracker on trophies in certain trophy guides. These tracking tools allow you to manually keep track of your own trophy progress without having to give us any personal details or create an account.
The tool uses localStorage to save and load your changes, allowing you to even leave and return in some cases. However, for best performance and to ensure your tracking details aren't lost, try to keep this tab open until you're done with your trophy journey and avoid refreshing as much as possible.
