The Walking Dead: The Final Season is, as the title would suggest, the very last season in the Telltale The Walking Dead point-and-click adventure series. Inspired by the comic book rather than the TV series, Telltale’s The Walking Dead is a well-crafted story of survival in a world that is no longer ours and the battle-tested friendships that develop in the middle of it all. The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide: Before You Begin
Unlike previous Telltale-developed games, TWD: The Final Season doesn’t just hand you a platinum trophy for playing through the episodes; you’ll have to work a little bit harder.
There are a few collectibles in each of the 4 episodes and several missable trophies, some of which are locked depending on your choices. To make sure you get the platinum as fast as possible, this The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide is written with “Save Scumming” in mind.
Phase One – Gather all Collectibles while Save Scumming
The trophy list is mostly straightforward, and you will be awarded several trophies just for playing, so there’s only really a need for one phase. Just play the game and refer to the episode breakdowns below for collectible locations and when to make backup saves for the choice-related trophies.
Episode 1 – Done Running
This episode has 6 collectibles and 9 missable trophies.
- Right at the start, after leaving the vehicle, talk passed the tire swing and towards the left side of the shack to find a Deer Skull.
- Once inside the school (looking for AJ), head towards the staircase in front of you and check behind it for some Plastic Flowers.
- After finding AJ, make sure to tickle him once you have the option for Tickle Monster.
- When you have to help defend the school from waves of walkers, make sure you use all traps for Nothing Wasted. You must kill a walker with them to count.
- While Clem and AJ wait for food to be cooked inside the school courtyard, check near a wall on the far right for some Real Flowers.
- Still inside the courtyard, make sure to talk to everyone in the courtyard for Social Butterfly. Two people near a grave are easy to miss. Make sure to talk to Marlon last.
- Once you find yourself inside Clem’s and AJ’s new room, Violet will come asking to borrow some pencils. Let AJ keep them, and he will get AJ’s Drawing.
- At the start of the next act, you will be given a choice to let Rosie the dog sniff your hand. Agree for Good Girl.
- Backup your save to PS+ or a USB
- When given a choice by Marlon, choose to go Hunting.
- When you control Clem, talk to Louis, who wants you to take a swing at a trapped walker. Hit it 3 times for Where’s the Candy?
- Reload your save. Choose to go Hunting again.
- This time, talk to Aasim to play a rabbit shooting minigame. Make sure to kill 2 rabbits without missing for Rabbit Season.
- Reload your save one final time.
- Choose to go Fishing.
- Check the fireplace inside the shack for a Cat Skull.
- Talk to AJ inside the shack about a carving in the wall for Lost Love.
- Eventually, you will have to play a fishing minigame where you spear some fish as they swim by. Make sure to hit 3 in a row without missing for Upstream.
- A little bit later, you will be back at the school. When talking to Tenn, he will ask to draw you in a picture. Choose yes for Tenn’s Picture.
- Finally, when Clem and AJ are in their room, make sure to look around and place every item you’ve picked up so far for To Make it Look Nice. You can press to highlight areas/items of interest.
Once this episode closes out, you should have popped the following trophies.

Tickle Monster
Tickled AJ
After Clem is rescued, you will have to find AJ. When you get to him, you will be given the option to tickle him. Choose to tickle him, and this trophy will pop.
Nothing Wasted
Used ALL Traps
When defending the school against a wave of walkers, you will be introduced to a trap mechanic. When a walker stumbles within range of a trap, you can tap to drop a big bolder on them. To pop this trophy, you must use all traps, and they must kill a walker for it to count. It’s easy to be ganged up on during this section, so be sure to hit to stun walkers that are in your way and lure the others towards the traps. If you mess up, just let them get you and restart the checkpoint.
Clem and AJ will be waiting for dinner to be served. In the meantime, you can go around and talk to everyone to pop this trophy. Make sure to use to highlight areas of interest so you don’t miss anyone, and make sure you talk to Marlon last.
Good Girl
Rosie
When Rosie corners Clem, Marlon will ask her to trust him and give him her hand. Agree with this, and this trophy will pop moments later.
Lost Love
Found Heart Graffiti
Inside the shack during the fishing segment, you will find AJ sat near a wall. Talk to him, and he will point out a heart with some initials etched into the wood.
Upstream
Speared ALL fish
During the fishing segment, you will be given a spear and enter a minigame where you have to spear fish as they swim in a stream. You have to spear 3 in a row without missing for this trophy to pop. The fish can be quite fast, but their paths are predictable, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. If you fail, quit out and reload the game to start back at the checkpoint.
Where’s the Candy?
Hit all pinata swings
During the hunting segment, Louis and Aasim will both ask Clem for help. Speak to Louis and agree to take a few swings at the dangling walker stuck in a trap. Hit it 3 times, and the trophy will pop.
Rabbit Season
Shot ALL rabbits
During the hunting segment, Louis and Aasim will both ask Clem for help. Speak to Aasim and help him hunt wabbits rabbits. You have to kill 2 without missing a shot for it to count.
To Make it Look Nice
Places all Episode One collectables
Near the end of Act 3, Clem and AJ will be in their new room. You will be able to walk around and place everything you’ve collected during Episode One. Make sure to use to highlight all areas of interest.
Episode 2 – Suffer The Children
This episode has 3 collectibles and 8 missable trophies.
- Near the beginning of this episode, Clem will be stood outside a greenhouse. Walk past Ruby to find a Wild Boar Skull on the ground.
- Once inside the greenhouse, you can find a Mushroom in a planter near Ruby.
- Pick up a 2nd mushroom to pop Edible.
- Shortly after getting into the greenhouse, Clem will find herself in a lab area behind a locked door. A Venus Flytrap is sitting on the corner of a planter.
- Inside the Lab, find and interact with a Beaker, Test Tube, Flash, and Chalkboard for Botanist.
- At the beginning of Act 2, Clem and AJ will be in their room. Place all 3 collectibles for Personal Touch.
- Outside, you will have to talk to everyone but save talking to Louis until last. Instead, talk to Rosie for Great Girl.
- Use to highlight areas/objects of interest and interact with them all for Be Prepared.
- Finally, talk to Louis to do a little target practice. Make sure to hit the target with the bow 5 times for Sureshot.
- Backup your save to PS+ or a USB.
- Clem will have to choose who to spend the evening with. It doesn’t matter who you choose but, when prompted, choose to keep things friendly for Bonded.
- Reload your save but choose to kiss Violet/Louis for Moving Fast.
Once this episode closes out, you should have popped the following trophies.

How’d it taste?
Near the beginning of the episode, Clem, Ruby, and Mitch will be trying to get inside a Greenhouse. Once inside, there will be a planter near where Ruby is stood. Pick up 2 mushrooms; the first one is a collectible, whereas the 2nd one will pop this trophy.
Botanist

Inside the Lab area, there will be 4 items you can interact with. Find and press on the Beaker, Test Tubes, Flask, and Chalkboard to pop this trophy.
Personal Touch
Placed all Epidose Two collectibles
At the beginning of Act 3, Clem and AJ will be inside their room again. Place all collectibles you’ve gathered thus far, and this trophy should pop.
Great Girl
Aw, Rosie
Clem will have to walk around the courtyard and interact with various people and objects to prepare for the coming battle. Make sure you head to where Marlon was buried and interact with Rosie. Once you do, this trophy will pop.
Be Prepared
Made sure everything was ready
In Act 3, Clem will have to make sure everything is prepared for the battle with Lilly. Use , and make sure you interact with everyone leaving Louis for last.
Sureshot
Don’t miss once
Once you have checked on everyone and inspected all objects in the courtyard, speak to Louis. Pick up the bow and shoot 5 arrows at the target. It’s tough to miss, so this trophy should come quite easily.

Before the battle with Lilly begins, you will be given a choice to hang out with Violet or Louis. It doesn’t matter who you choose, but when given the option to remain friends or take your relationship further, choose to stay as friends.

Before the battle with Lilly begins, you will be given a choice to hang out with Violet or Louis. It doesn’t matter who you choose, but when given the option to remain friends or take your relationship further, choose to become their girlfriend.

Episode 3 – Broken Toys
This episode has 6 collectibles and 8 missable trophies.
- At the beginning of Act 1, you will enter the school basement. On a wall to the left is a School Pennant.
- On a shelf, just past the School Pennant, is a Sketch Pad.
- Still in the basement, Rosie will be sat next to a boiler. Interact with her for Best Girl.
- You will have to interrogate Abel to pop As A Mouse later in the episode. However, you must use a specific set of dialogue options for it to work; check the trophy link for more information.
- Later on, Clem and a few others will be hiding in some woods, waiting to scope out a boat. Turn around and check the floor near some trees for a Horseshoe.
- Near Willy, Clem can find a Rabbit’s Foot next to a tree.
- As you scope out the boat, you will have to examine 10 things through a pair of binoculars for All-Seeing. Check the trophy link for more information.
- After this section, you will meet a new character called James. As you become attacked by Walkers, James will ask that you not harm a single one. Run around them or press to stun them but do not kill any for Mercy.
- A little bit later, Clem and AJ will be stood outside a barn. There will be a salt lick on the ground near AJ. Talk to him and tell him to lick it for Did you lick it?
- Near AJ will be some Wind Chimes hanging on the outside of the barn.
- Check some bales of hay just by James for a Beet Nick Toy.
- At the start of Act 2, Clem will be in her room. Place all collectibles for Feels Like Mine. Use to make sure you don’t miss anything.
- While using the Walkers as cover to get onto the boat, there will be a segment where you have to kill some Walkers. Use only the bow for Personal Space.
- When Clem wakes up in her cell, you will notice a tally on a wall. Interact with it for Tally.
Once this episode closes out, you should have popped the following trophies.

You must interrogate Abel in a specific manner to unlock this trophy. Follow the steps below and the trophy should pop later in the episode.

- Press on Abel’s chest area to let him smoke
- “I hope so”
- Let him sweat
- “You’ll know soon enough”
- Abel will now tell you the password, which is “Rockingham,” and you’re free to deal with him however you want.
All-Seeing
Let nothing slip by
When scouting out the boat, you must observe the following items for this trophy to pop. When talking to Willy, examine the Rafts, Supplies, and Torches. Talk to Violet/Louis, and examine the Path, Pier, and Entrance. Then examine the Pilot House and Raiders. Finally, talk to AJ and examine the Torches and Horses.
Mercy
Did no harm
After meeting James for the first time, you will have to defend yourself from Walkers while moving a cart. James, however, will ask that you not harm a single one of them. Do your best to avoid them and move the cart. You can press to stun Walkers, which should give you plenty of time to get some distance and work on the cart.
Did you lick it?
Remembered the good times
After dealing with the cart and Walkers, Clem, AJ, and James arrive at a barn. Next to where AJ is stood is a salt lick. Talk to him and get him to lick it just like Clem did way back in Season 1, Episode 2.
Feels like mine
Placed all Episode Three collectables
At the beginning of Act 2, Clem will be in her room. Use and place every collectable like you have before.
Nightlight
Made sure they slept tight
Unmissable. Will pop after the little party inside the School.
Personal Space
Kept your distance
When assaulting the boat, Clem will be attacked by a wave of Walkers. You must kill every Walker with the bow only for this trophy to pop.
Tally
Counted the days
During Act 3, Clem will wake up in a cell aboard the boat. Look for a tally graffiti on one of the walls and interact with it.
Episode 4 – Take Us Back
This episode has 4 collectibles and 4 missable trophies.
- At the start of the episode, you can find a Skin Mask if James died (it’s unclear if this mask counts towards the collectibles, but make sure to get it just to be safe; you can also grab it later if James survived in the last episode).
- When Clem is inside a cave, walk left to find a Crystal.
- Still inside the cave, check the floor near AJ for a Calypso Cauliflower Toy.
- If James is still alive, you can get his Skin Mask by talking to him and being mean/insulting, which will cause him to throw his mask down and leave.
- Once you cross the stream inside the cave, Backup your save to PS+ or a USB.
- Talk to AJ and tell him he’s “not ready” to unlock You and Me later in the episode. You will have to play until you cross a bridge with Tenn and Violet.
- Reload your save and this time, choose “You’ve earned it” for Goodbye. Play through the same sections again until you cross the bridge.
- Later, when playing as AJ inside the fishing cabin, check the ground near the stove for a Skull Fragment.
- AJ will spear some fish back outside the fishing cabin and then spot Clem’s hat floating down the stream. Grab it for Lost And Found.
- Finally, back inside Clem and AJ’s room, place the last of the collectibles for Home At Last.
- Finally, place Clem’s hat on the desk, and the game is complete, which should earn you Savior, and if you followed this guide, The Final Season should also pop.
Once this episode closes out, you should have popped the following trophies.
