Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection Trophy Guide and Road Map for PS4 & PS5

Welcome to our Star Wars: Battlefront Classics Collection Trophy Guide. The Battlefront series is a critically acclaimed game series that Star Wars fans and gamers alike often look back on fondly, with Battlefront II being at the top of many people’s all-time best game lists, including my own. That said, it’s an old game and doesn’t hold up so well against modern expectations. And besides introduce a few bugs and steal a fan’s mod, the Classic Collection’s developers haven’t put any love into the game that wasn’t already there. For those reasons, newcomers to the game might find themselves frustrated with the archaic controls, janky hitboxes, and general PS2-game-weirdness.

You can expect a smooth trophy journey with a fair bit of Medal Farming towards the end of the road, but the experience is mostly enjoyable and can be made much easier via the use of cheats, should you need a little helping hand.

Phase One | Star Wars Battlefront Campaign

Since it’s the shorter, easier, and premier of the two games, we’ll kick things off with a short jaunt through the Battlefront campaign. It’s a lot less substantial than what you can look forward to in Battlefront II, but fortunately only spans 15 battles and you can play on any difficulty.

All of the battles are pretty much the same, you either defeat all of the enemy forces before they can deplete your own—as indicated by the gauge at the top of the HUD—or you capture all of the spawn points on the map until there’s nowhere left for the enemy to spawn from.

These battles play out in a chronological order using units from that time in the all-too-familiar sci-fi story. You will get to see Jedi, Sith, Rebels, and other main characters from the movies out in the field, but won’t get to play as them… Yet.

Complete the Clone Wars Campaign in Battlefront

In Star Wars: Battlefront, the Clone Wars Campaign consists of 7 short missions in which the goal is to win by either defeating all enemy units or capturing and holding all spawn points.

After completing the final mission in the Clone Wars Campaign—The Battle of Kashyyyk—you will unlock the “The Cost of War” trophy.

Unmissable

In Star Wars: Battlefront, the Galactic Civil War Campaign consists of 9 short missions in which the goal is to win by either defeating all enemy units or capturing and holding all spawn points.

After completing the final mission in the Galactic Civil War Campaign—The Battle of Endor—you will unlock the “Built on Hope” trophy.

Phase Two | Star Wars: Battlefront Cleanup

The majority of your Battlefront Classic Collection Trophy Journey will be spent in Star Wars: Battlefront II. However, aside from needing to complete the two campaigns in Battlefront, you’ll also need to unlock a couple of misc trophies which we’ll do now before heading into Battlefront II for the rest of the way.

There’s nothing too difficult in store, but you may find yourself needing to earn Execute Order 66 multiple times as it’s a bit buggy.

Execute Order 66

Defeat a Jedi hero by knocking them off the map in Battlefront

Glitched/ Bugged

The best way to farm this trophy is to first go into the settings and make sure the “Instant Action Heroes” option is set to ON. This allows hero characters to show up in “Instant Action”.

Return to the Main Menu, open Single Player, and select Instant Action. When prompted, add only Bespin: Platforms as the map and then start the match.

I recommend playing with the Clone Wars theme on and choosing Clone Troopers (Republic). I had the best luck with the Arc Trooper’s Missile Launcher. Alternatives—such as the Super Battle Droid’s Rocket secondary—were not as effective at pushing back heroes.

Once the match has loaded, you should have Mace Windu on your team and Count Dooku somewhere on the opponent’s team. The AI is not too smart so they’ll be in the middle or on one of the two bridges, they don’t stray much from that path unless one team is winning by a large margin.

Essentially, you need to line yourself up so that Count Dooku is between you and a ledge, then hit him in the shins with the Missile Launcher. Don’t shoot the ground at his feet. You’re going to want to shoot the ground at his feet and you’re going to think that will work, but I’m here to tell you emphatically; don’t shoot the ground at his feet. It won’t do anything!

Hitting him dead-on with the missile launcher, however, will send him flying backwards. And better yet, hitting his shins will send him soaring into the air.

If you successfully do this to him and he then falls off the ledge to his death without touching any physical objects on the way down, you should see a notice in the lower-right indicating that you killed him, and the trophy should unlock.

There’s a very strong chance it won’t though. You’ll likely need to just keep playing and replaying this level, shooting Dooku in his shins until you get lucky.

Hopefully this issue will be patched soon and the trophy will unlock when it’s supposed to.

Coming around, Rogue Leader

Take down an AT-AT with tow cables in Battlefront

The “Coming around, Rogue Leader” trophy is quite simple, you just need to complete a few steps.

First, from the Main Menu, select Single Player, then select Instant Action. When choosing the maps, select Hoth: Echo Base, and then be sure to choose the Rebels.

As the Rebels, spawn in the upper-left-most spawn point, which is a hangar filled with Snow Speeders. Get in one and then wait a moment. You want to make sure that someone else is in the ship with you.

Once you’re sure you’re not the only rebel in the Snow Speeder, press to begin the takeoff sequence, then use to move once you’re out of the hangar.

Immediately fly towards the two AT-AT walkers that have spawned on the Imperial side of the map. Once you’re close to one, press to swap seats with your co-pilot. You’ll now be in charge of aiming and firing the magnetic harpoon.

This is why you need a co-pilot, because if you’re in the Speeder on your own, then it just flies off or crashes when you switch to the harpoon gunner seat.

Aim at the AT-AT’s legs and then press to fire the harpoon. If you successfully hit the leg, you’ll be attached by towing cable!

Your co-pilot will immediately know what to do, he’ll wrap the AT-AT’s legs with the towing cable until it trips up, unlocking the trophy!

You can also switch back to the pilot’s seat if you want all the glory, but the switch can be disorienting.

Phase Three | Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign

Genuinely, Star Wars Battlefront II is one of my all-time favourite games. I don’t even really enjoy Star Wars in general anymore but this game is just so much fun to come back to every time. There’s so much more to it than the standard Battlefront 1 Campaigns as you’ll have to complete a range of objectives per mission, participate in large-scale space battles, and employ a broader variety of classes.

Again, you merely need to reach the end credits, so you can safely proceed on any difficulty you like without affecting any of your trophies. Just load up the campaign and have fun!

Some of the objectives can be tricky, so feel free to use cheats to further reduce the difficulty. Doing so will not affect your ability to earn trophies in any way. Here are the two you’ll most likely want:

Cheat Sequence
Invincibility , , , , , , , , , , , ,
Unlimited Ammo , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

To use them, pause the game mid-mission with and then enter the desired code using the d-pad on the pause screen. The cheats almost always need entering twice, so if you don’t hear the audio cue the first time, just enter the code again without unpausing.

Trophies in this phase:

Beat the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign

The War Left its Scars on All of Us

Beat the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign

The War Left its Scars on All of Us

Complete the Battlefront II Campaign

Simply reach the end of the Star Wars Battlefront II Campaign and you will receive the “The War Left its Scars on All of Us” trophy unavoidably. This campaign is significantly more challenging than in the first Battlefront, even on the lowest difficulty. If you find yourself struggling at any point, feel free to employ cheat codes to make things easier as they won’t affect you unlocking this trophy.

Phase Four | Medal Farming in Battlefront II

In Battlefront II, while playing any game mode (multiplayer or solo), you will receive Medals for achieving certain objectives in a single life. For example, getting 36 points in a single life, getting several sniper headshots in a single life, and more. Each time you receive one of these, it will buff your current character with a perk like auto-heal to help you survive longer.

In this phase of your trophy journey, though, you will need to earn every type of medal 64 times each. This is a huge grind, as you can imagine, so hopefully you do enjoy the game enough to see it through painlessly. There are a couple of medals that are a real pain to farm, so I’ve provided detailed methods for those ones, the rest will just require patience.

If you want to make things easier for yourself, remember that you can use cheats!

Shoulder-fire. Very Expensive.

Earn your first Demolition Medal

You will receive a Demolition Medal in Battlefront II whenever you rack up 4 weak-point hits with a Missile/Rocket Launcher weapon in a single life. After you’ve received 32 of these medals, you’ll be considered “Elite” rank and will only need 3 weak-spot hits per medal from that point on.

The “Shoulder-fire. Very Expensive” trophy will unlock when you earn a Regulator Medal for the very first time.

The easiest way to farm these is to start up an Instant Action match on Hoth as the Rebels, then do the following:

  1. Select the Rocket Launcher unit to play as
  2. Spawn in the hangar at the upper-left corner of the map
  3. Jump on one of the TaunTauns outside
  4. Ride the tauntaun over to the AT-ATs at the far side of the map
  5. Fire your Missile Launcher at their neck. This is its weak spot. You’ll know when a hit landed correctly as you’ll see a huge chunk disappear from the AT-AT’s HP bar.
  6. Once you see the Demolition Medal pop-up on the left side of the HUD, press and select “Respawn”
  7. Repeat from Step 1 until there are no more AT-ATs, then restart the mission and go again!

I recommend using cheats for this one, just so you can stand under the AT-AT, shooting at it, without worrying about getting shot or trampled.

Just Call Me Fixer

Earn your first Technician Medal

You will receive a Technician Medal in Battlefront II whenever you “slice” a vehicle. To slice a vehicle, play as an engineer class with a Fusion Cutter tool, switch to said tool, and then use it on an enemy vehicle.

You’ll see a percentage on-screen, just wait until it reaches 100% and you’ll get the Technician Medal. Obviously, this is quite a dangerous thing to do, so you might want to use the invincibility cheat to make sure you don’t get easily trampled or blown up while slicing.

Annoyingly, as with other medals, you can only earn one Technician Medal per life, so you’ll need to use the “Respawn” option in the Pause Menu between medals. The best place to farm this imo is Endor in Instant Action while playing as the Rebels. Endor is full of AT-ST walkers which can easily be sliced due to their slow speed and inability to aim down.

The “You Shot First” trophy will unlock when you earn a Marksman Medal for the very first time.

You will receive the “All Too Easy” trophy when you’ve acquired 4 Technician Medals. See Just Call Me Fixer.
