Sea of Stars: Question Pack Guide

If you’re going for the Sea of Stars Platinum Trophy, alongside the plethora of shiny trophies to demand your attention, there’s one that asks that you find every Question Pack, bring them to the Question Master in the Town of Lucent, and then answer all of the questions correctly.

That’s quite a lot of information, especially since I’ll be giving you the answers to every single question in the game’s 11 Question Packs, so I’ve separated it out into this Question Pack Guide.

Where to Find the Question Master in Sea of Stars

The Question Master can be found in the locked shed at the east end of the Town of Lucent, but getting the key requires a bit of effort.

First, you’ll need a Turbo Cookie, which you can only get from the chest in the upper floor of the town’s central building. Now, don’t think you can just go upstairs, as you’ll need to reach the building’s roof and then get inside via a doorway up there.

To begin with, go to the east end of town and climb onto the bridge’s north wall. From there, you can grapple to a plateau ahead of you. Continue following this path of Grapple Posts and around to the roof of the building, from where you can get inside and grab the Turbo Cookie.

Now, take the Cookie to the west end of town and clamber over the wall in the southwest corner. Make your way north from there and you’ll find a Ghost Pirate who’s looking for a Turbo Cookie.

Give her the one you found, and she’ll then want to fight you. It’s not too tough of a fight, especially if you’re doing this after beating the story.

When you defeat her, check the grave behind where she was standing to find the Shed Key!

You can now go all the way to the east end of town again and enter the Shed. There’s a weird looking Jar in here, which happens to be the Question Master.

Talk to him and you’ll be introduced to the concept of Question Packs and made to attempt the quiz in Question Pack 1.

Where to Find all 11 Question Packs in Sea of Stars

Question Packs are scattered across both worlds in Sea of Stars so you’ll need to search high and low to find them all. Fortunately, I’ve produced the below table with details on where you can acquire each pack.

1	Town of Lucent’s Question Master	You don’t need to collect this pack, the QM already has it!
2	Port Town of Brisk, Sleeper Island	In one of the northeastern buildings, you’ll find an NPC with a colored wheel, offering you the chance to play the BS Roulette Minigame. It’s not winnable, so just lose one time and an NPC will appear outside the shop. Pay the stranger 90G for the winning number and then give it to the B.S. Roulette host to win and get your Question Pack.
3	Haunted Mansion, Wraith Island	On a bookshelf in the library.
4	Jungle Path, Watcher Island	When you enter the Jungle Path from the south entrance, go into the water on your left and then swim northwest until you find a chest floating in the water. This question pack is inside.
5	Songshroom Marsh, Mesa Island	In a chest under a rocky alcove along the main path. Hard to miss. Southeast from the path to the Witch’s Hut.
6	Cloud Kingdom, Skylands	In the Cloud Kingdom Tavern, inside a chest next to the stage.
7	Cerulean Expanse, Cerulean Island	In the Obsidian Expanse Desert, go South, Southwest, Southeast, and then South again and you’ll reach a campsite with lots of loot, including this Question Pack!
8	Sky Base, via Speedball Network	On the second floor, in a chest to the right of the second elevator.
9	Cypher Door, Repine, Cerulean Island	On Cerulean Island, there’s a Cypher Door in the Equipment Shop that can only be opened if you have the four Data Strips from Cerulean Reservoir, Repine, The Speedball Network Station, and The Fleshmancer’s Lair. Take them to Seraï’s house to craft a Cypher at the workbench there and then use the Cypher on the door in the Equipment Shop. Once through the door, you will find this Question Pack in a chest.
10	Fleshmancer’s Lair	In the final room with the Save Book where the game loads after you beat the story, there’s a door you can go into to enter a cluttered study. Inside, there’s a chest containing this question pack.
11	The Golden Pelican	You need to dine at the Golden Pelican for this. See Wholesome Food.
