Trophy Guide

Marvel's Midnight Suns: The Good, The Bad, and the Undead DLC Trophy Guide and Road Map for PlayStation 5

Released just a few months after the base game, The Good, The Bad, and the Undead DLC expands Midnight Suns by adding the fan-favourite anti-hero, Deadpool, as well as a host of new Missions, Research Objectives, and more.

If you haven’t yet earned the Platinum Trophy for Midnight Suns you can do so with our Marvel’s Midnight Suns Trophy Guide. This here The Good, The Bad, and the Undead DLC Trophy Guide will help with all 5 of the DLC Trophies, however.

There are several trophies in this DLC which are bugged at the time of writing. In all of these cases, however, the issue seems to be caused by playing the DLC on a save file that you already completed prior to installing the DLC. The only way around these issues is to start a New Game + Save after installing the DLC. To avoid any issues, I recommend starting a New Game + Save immediately, unless you had the DLC installed when you started the game.

Phase One | Complete the Deadpool Story Missions

There are three Deadpool Story Missions that appear on the Mirror Table with a red highlight, instead of the typical purple hue that is used for Base Game Story Missions. Each one will require you to complete at least one general mission in-between.

While working on these missions, spend some extra time getting to know Deadpool and raising your friendship level with him. For the next Phase in this guide, you are going to need to reach maximum friendship with him, so it’s good to be constantly working on that throughout the short DLC story.

Trophies in this phase:

Cumulative

There are a total of three Deadpool-centered Story Missions available from the Mirror Table when you have The Good, The Bad, and The Undead DLC installed. These missions have a unique red color not used for any other Mirror Table Missions and they all feature Deadpool as the lead character.

After completing each one, you will need to complete a General Mission before the next one becomes playable.

Upon completion of the third Deadpool Story Mission, you will get a finale cutscene before being returned to the Abbey, where Deadpool wishes to speak with you. Talk to him to wrap up the DLC story and the “The Good, the Bad, and the Undead” trophy is all yours.

This trophy is bugged at the time of writing. If you complete Deadpool’s Story Missions on a completed save file from before you got the DLC, the trophy may not unlock. If this happens, you will need to start a New Game + save and complete all three missions again there. This will unstick the trophy.

Phase Two | DLC Cleanup

With Deadpool fully integrated into the Abbey now, and no more Story Missions to complete, it’s time to focus on mopping up the remaining four trophies. You’re essentially going to need to reach Maximum Friendship with Deadpool so that you can complete his Midnight Sun Challenge at the Forge, complete the 3 new research objectives, and pull off a couple of fairly simple feats in combat!

Misc DLC Trophies

Dr. Deadpool, MD, PhD, JD, RN, CPA

Complete all Deadpool research

Collectible

Glitched/ Bugged

The Good, The Bad, and The Undead DLC adds a selection of new Research Objectives to the Forge. The first of these, available at Research Level 3, is the “A Balanced Diet” Upgrade, which adds the Food Truck Upgrade to the Yard. Before you can begin this research, you will need to complete a total of 2 Missions with Deadpool in your squad.

Purchase the Research and then wait one in-game day for it to complete. Visit the Forge to finish up the objective. You will now be able to purchase the Food Truck Upgrade for 75 Credits (optional).

Once you are done with the first Research Objective, two more will unlock:

  • Only The Essentials | Research Level 6 | Requires you to have completed 5 total Missions with Deadpool
  • The Good Stuff | Research Level 8 | Requires you to have upgraded 2 of Deadpool’s Abilities

Each research objective will take one in-game day to complete. Once you have completed them both, thus three in total, the “Dr. Deadpool, MD, PhD, JD, RN, CPA” trophy will unlock!

This trophy is bugged at the time of writing. If you complete the Research Objectives on a completed save file from before you got the DLC, the trophy may not unlock. If this happens, you will need to start a New Game + save and complete all three Research Objectives again. This will unstick the trophy.

That Special Feeling

Complete Deadpool's Midnight Sun Challenge mission.

Glitched/ Bugged

Before you can even begin to work on the “That Special Feeling” trophy, there are two things you will have to do; complete the “Forged in Hellfire” Forge Research and purchase the Armory Forge Upgrade (see the “You Absolute Legend” Base Game Trophy) and reach Maximum Friendship with Deadpool.

Invite him to Havens, give him Compliments, join his Hangouts, bring him to Missions, and complete Daily Sparring with him to continuously increase his Friendship level over the course of several in-game days.

Once you reach Max Level with him, head to the Forge and open the “Challenges” option. If it’s not there, you haven’t purchased the Armory Upgrade. Complete the Forged in Hellfire Research to unlock it and then pay 175 Credits for the Forge Upgrade.

Deadpool’s Midnight Sun Challenge will be on the list of available Challenges if his friendship level is high enough. Complete the Challenge to unlock the “That Special Feeling” trophy. I recorded my successful run at the challenge, which you can watch below:

This trophy is bugged at the time of writing. If you complete the Challenge on a completed save file from before you got the DLC, the trophy may not unlock. If this happens, you will need to start a New Game + save and complete the challenge again. This will unstick the trophy. Fortunately, if you have already reached Friendship Level 5 with Deadpool in your main save, that will still be the case in your New Game + Save.

Time to Make the Chimichangas!

Reach maximum En Fuego with Deadpool.

Non-Cumulative

Sometimes, when Deadpool defeats an enemy with an ability card, he will receive +1 En Fuego. Some upgraded/modded Deadpool cards can even set things up for Deadpool’s allies to increase his En Fuego level, too.

Increased “En Fuego” levels in combat will apply various buffs to Deadpool’s Ability Cards. The easiest method by far, however, is to load up the T.H.R.E.A.T Room with Deadpool and work through the challenge. Repeated Card Draws and Card Play Refunds will allow you to keep gradually building En Fuego level until the “Time to Make the Chimichangas!” trophy unlocks at En Fuego Level 5.

Hemophobic

Complete a Vampyre mission without any hero gaining Bleed from a Vampyre Bite.

Essentially, the Hemophobic trophy in the Midnight Suns Deadpool DLC is pretty much identical to the base-game’s Not a Scratch trophy. It can be earned in any mission containing the new Vampyre enemy type, including the very first DLC Story Mission.

Whenever a Vampyre attacks you, they will inflict “Bleed” on your ability cards. Using them will inflict bleeding on the relevant character. Each time you take damage from Bleed, nearby Vampyres will also grow stronger, so it really is in your best interests to avoid getting attacked by them.

Complete a full Vampyre-centric mission without once receiving Bleed from the enemies and the Hemophobic trophy will unlock at the end. The absolute best way to do this is to try and defeat every Vampyre in the fight within a single turn, before they get a chance to attack.

You can do this by using Quick Cards, Environmental Attacks, and Moves to squeeze as many attacks into a single turn as possible.

If you wait until after the main game’s content to start working on the DLC content, your characters should be powerful enough to make wiping the board clean of Vampyres a breeze.
