A Year of Springs Trophy Guide and Walkthrough for PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5

Welcome to our A Year of Springs Trophy Guide. A Year of Springs is an emotionally-driven visual novel trilogy that follows the tales of three friends; Haru, Erika, and Manami as they deal with complex feelings. The whole game features a very clean and adorable art style which would typically be reserved for vector iconography, but has been used here to bring npckc’s story to life!

Phase One – Follow Our Walkthrough

Using this A Year of Springs Trophy Guide Walkthrough, you can unlock all 22 trophies–including the platinum–in less than 10 minutes if you skip all dialogue. That being said, you paid good money for this game, so you might as well try and enjoy it.

If you still wish to skip everything as quickly as you can, go into the Options from the main menu and match the following settings:

• Text Speed: Full (10/10)
• Auto-Forward Time: Full (10/10)
• Skip: Unseen Text: Selected
• Skip: After Choices: Selected

With the options indicated above, when you press to skip, the game will blast through all the dialogue and only stop when it comes to a choice. Then, when you make a choice, it will automatically blast through to the next one.

A Year of Springs Platinum Trophy Walkthrough

There are several possible endings in A Year of Springs, but to make sure you see them all in a single playthrough you will need to make manual saves at specific points in the story, which you can then switch between, to ensure that nothing gets missed.

From the Title Screen, hit to start the game. You’ll be given three scenario options, but only one is available for now; one night, hot springs. Select it to start the first story.

Read the dialogue or hit to skip to your first choice. Here, select “Sorry… I Just…”

Continue on and you will get the NORMAL END: LET’S TRY SOMETHING ELSE trophy.

Start a New Game on “one night, hot springs” again and enter the following dialogue options to reach another ending:

• …If they have reserved baths
• That would be me…
• Give up on the family bath
• Get in a quick nap

At this point, you should make a save in save slot 1. To do so, just open the menu with and press on the top-left save slot.

Continuing on, make the following dialogue choices to reach another ending:

• They were great!
• I’m a bit tired, so…
• Head to sleep

After making those choices, continue until the end screen and you will get the BAD END: HOT SPRINGS ARE NOT OK trophy.

When you’re returned to the main menu, select “Load” and load the save we made in slot 1. Next, make the following two choices:

• I didn’t go in…
• I’m a bit tired, so…

At this point, make another save in save slot 2. Once done, continue on with the following dialogue choices:

• Head to sleep
• It was great

At the end of this story path, when the end screen comes up you will earn the GOOD END: HOT SPRINGS ARE OK trophy.

At the main menu, select Load and then load our save in slot 2. From there, make the following choices:

• Keep Manami Company
• Be here for your birthday
• Give Manami the present
• I’m happy you asked
• Not right now

Continue until the end screen to acquire the MANAMI END 2: HONESTY IS LIKE A GIFT trophy.

From the main screen, load our save in slot 2 again and this time make the following choices:

• Keep Manami company
• Stay in this beautiful ryokan
• Just wish Manami a happy birthday

At the end screen you will then get the MANAMI END 1: FRIENDS FOREVER… trophy.

From the main screen, you should now load the save we made in slot 1. From there, make these choices:

• I didn’t go in…
• What do you want to talk about?
• I wasn’t a guy before…
• Thank Erika for listening

Here, you should make a save in slot 3.

Continuing on, choose these dialogue options:

• Go to the baths
• A school lavatory
• …
• I’ll be fine

At the next end screen, you will receive the ERIKA END 2: THE WORLD CAN BE KIND TOO trophy.

At the main screen, load the save in slot 3 that we made earlier and select this option:

• Don’t go to the baths

At the end screen you will receive the ERIKA END 1: NEW FRIEND, NEW ADVENTURES trophy.

You will now have every trophy from the “one night, hot springs” campaign. At the main screen, press to return to the campaign selection screen.

There, select the “last day of spring” story and make the following dialogue choices:

• Reasonable prices
• Check out more options
• Super Relaxing!
• Check out more options
• Pamper Yourself…
• I’m good
• Hana no Yu

At this point, you should make a save in slot 1 for us to use later, then continue on with the following options:

• Of course not, it’s Haru’s birthday
• No, it’s still Haru’s birthday
• Definitely not

Here, make another save, this time in slot 2, then continue with the following options:

• Don’t tell her the details
• No, I can do this
• Definitely cucumbers

Now you should make yet another save, this time in slot 3. Once done, continue with these two dialogue selections:

• Ask how bad her cold is
• Yeah…

At the end screen, you will get the APRIL 6: A DAY WITH FRIENDS trophy.

From the main menu, load the save we made in slot 3, and then simply select this to get another trophy:

• Cancel the spa day

At the end screen you’ll acquire the APRIL 5: POSTPONED UNTIL…? trophy.

At the main menu, load our save in Slot 2 and choose the following options:

• Say it was too expensive
• Yeah…

At the subsequent end screen, you will unlock the APRIL 4: CANCEL EVERYTHING trophy.

Now load our save in slot 1 at the main menu screen and select the following options:

• Tell Haru it’s no hassle
• Maybe…
• I should be honest

At the end screen you will then acquire the APRIL 3: NO ANSWER trophy.

There’s just one trophy left to collect in this scenario, to get it we’ll need to start by loading our save in slot 1 again and then enter the following dialogue options:

• Of course not, it’s Haru’s birthday
• Ask if Haru wants to cancel

At the end screen, you’ll unlock APRIL 2: A LOT OF HASSLE.

You will now have all trophies from two of the game’s three scenarios. At the main menu, press to return to the scenario selection screen and then choose the third and final option; Spring Leaves No Flowers.

Start a new game and make these dialogue choices:

• See if Haru’s free
• …It was nice to meet the two of you!

At this point, you should make a save in slot 1. Once done, continue on with these choices:

• Give Erica a call
• …He wants to see both of you again!

At the end screen, you’ll collect the LET’S TALK AGAIN TOMORROW trophy.

Next, load the save in slot 1 and choose the following two options for a new ending:

• Watch a movie
• Cat for hire

Afterward, at the end screen, you will collect the LET’S WATCH A MOVIE ending trophy.

Instead of loading a save now, you should simply start a new game in this scenario, starting from the beginning again. From there, select the following dialogue options:

• Give Erika a call
• …He thought the two of you were dating
• See if Haru’s free
• Do you think she liked my present?

Proceed until the end screen where you’ll receive the LET’S GET PANCAKES trophy.

The next few trophies are going to be much easier if we make a few saves in our next run, so be sure to follow along closely. From the main menu, make another new game and then select the following options:

• See if Haru’s free
• …He thought the two of you were dating
• Give Erika a call

Here you should make a save in slot 2 and then continue via the following options:

• Did something happen with you and Haru?
• Haru

Now make a save in slot 3 before continuing with these choices:

• Did something happen with you and Haru?
• Did something happen with you and Haru?
• Did something happen with you and Haru?
• Did something happen with you and Haru?
• I don’t think I do…

Here, make another save, this time in slot 4, before continuing with these options:

• I just have something on my mind
• I just have something on my mind

Now you should make your final save in slot 5. Once done, continue via the following dialogue choices:

• I’m not sure
• I don’t know if I…
• What does attractive even mean…?
• I don’t think I…
• Yes
• Erika
• Time to call Tatsuya

After all that, at the end screen, you’ll pick up your LET’S BE HONEST trophy.

The next few trophies will only require very short trips thanks to all the saves we just made! Start by loading your save in slot 5, then select the following options:

• Of course…!
• I must have…
• I guess…?
• If everyone does…

At the end screen, you will collect the LET’S NOT THINK ABOUT THIS trophy.

Continuing on, load the save in slot 4 and then make one single choice to receive another ending trophy:

• It’s nothing, really

At the end screen, you will unlock the LET’S BE A BETTER FRIEND trophy.

Next, load up your save in slot 3 and, again, make just one single choice to earn another ending trophy:

• It’s nothing

At the end screen, you’ll unlock the LET’S THINK ABOUT THIS LATER trophy.

There’s just one trophy left in this scenario before we move on. Load the save in slot two and, once again, make a single dialogue choice to unlock another trophy:

• Do you think she had fun yesterday?

At the end screen, you’ll acquire the LET’S MAKE BANANA BREAD trophy.

There’s only one trophy left to acquire now and then the platinum is yours. To unlock it, you will need to play the epilogue, which you should have unlocked earlier. If you return to the scenario selection screen by pressing at the main menu, you’ll see a new option titled “The Coming Spring”.

Select it and then simply play it through to the ending. There are no choices to be made here. At the end screen, you will unlock the THE COMING SPRING trophy.

Once you have acquired every other trophy in this A Year of Springs Trophy Guide, the “A YEAR OF SPRINGS” platinum trophy will unlock.
