How to Find all 9 Bridal Gowns in Final Fantasy VII Remake for the Dressed to the Nines Trophy

This guide for earning the “Dressed to the Nines” Trophy was created to accompany my Final Fantasy VII Remake Trophy Guide, check that out if you’re interested in earning the Platinum Trophy!

There are a total of 9 dresses to find in Final Fantasy VII Remake, and in this guide I’ll aim to help you collect them in the most hassle-free way.

You’ll need to do three playthroughs for this, and if you’re looking to do a hard difficulty playthrough to earn the Platinum, you’ll probably want to use the Playthrough Three method as it will reduce the amount you need to do.

Playthrough One

Chapter Three – Tifa’s Dress

In Chapter 3, complete all of the side-quests to receive a purple orb icon on your map. By visiting this icon, you’ll be asked to install water filters in the apartments by Marle. After installing yours, visit Tifa for a short but sweet chat about the future. She’ll offer you three choices, choose “Sporty” for your first playthrough.

Chapter Eight – Aerith’s Dress

Once again, do all of the side-quests in this chapter. You won’t be given any special event or conversation options, just ensure you did them all (trackable from the touchpad menu) and you’ll be successful.

Chapter Nine – Cloud’s Dress

Uhh… yeah, you read that right. Cloud’s dress.

This one’s a bit more complicated. You need to do a specific quest-line, and to ensure you get that quest-line, you’ll need to do the following during your time at Wall Market:

• When Sam at the Chocobo ranch (first place you approach when you reach Sector 6 / Wall Market) asks you to describe Tifa, say “She’s in great Shape”.
• After this, you’ll head towards a Pagoda at the top of some stairs and you’ll see Johnny come speeding past you. Go follow him! Once you catch up, choose the dialogue option “Yeah”.
• There’s a guy standing outside the hotel in Wall Market, speak to him and select the dialogue “How much?”
• Now speak to the receptionist within the hotel and select “Yes”.
• Now head to the Pagoda you were walking towards when you saw Johnny, there you’ll be told to “speak to the trio”.
• Start with the Honeybee Inn, since you’ll just get turned away at the door.
• Now go and speak to Sam again outside the Chocobo Ranch, he’ll want to flip a coin, pick “No Deal”
• Now go and speak to Madam M at her Massage Parlour, choose the “Poor Man’s Course” for 100 Gil.
• After the massage, speak to Madam M and Aerith will ask how her dress looks, just say “It’s alright”.
• Lastly, complete “Underground Colosseum” objective.

Now when you next speak to Madam M, she will give you a list of requests from Sam, go and complete those side-quests to get this first dress!

Playthrough Two

You should now have chapter select, so you can simply replay only the chapters listed below and as long as you do everything right, you’ll get the three dresses! Make sure you finish each chapter too, just to be sure it saves your progress!

Chapter Three – Tifa’s Dress

In Chapter 3, complete all of the side-quests to receive a purple orb icon on your map. By visiting this icon, you’ll be asked to install water filters in the apartments by Marle. After installing yours, visit Tifa for a short but sweet chat about the future. She’ll offer you three choices, choose “Exotic” for your partial playthrough.

Chapter Eight – Aerith’s Dress

This time, do only half (3) of the side-quests in this chapter. Once three have been done, simply head over to Aerith’s house to end the side-quest portion of this chapter. You won’t be given any special event or conversation options, just ensure you did three (trackable from the touchpad menu) and you’ll be successful.

Chapter Nine – Cloud’s Dress

You need to do a specific quest-line, and to ensure you get that quest-line, you’ll need to do the following during your time at Wall Market:

• When Sam at the Chocobo ranch (first place you approach when you reach Sector 6 / Wall Market) asks you to describe Tifa, say “She’s great at handling the books”.
• This time, make sure you don’t talk to the Hotel receptionist, or the guy stood outside.
• When you’re heading towards a Pagoda at the top of some stairs and you see Johnny come speeding past you, ignore him. Don’t follow him, don’t talk to him, just keep on going to the pagoda where you’ll be told to “speak to the trio”.
• Start with the Honeybee Inn, since you’ll just get turned away at the door.
• Now go and speak to Sam again outside the Chocobo Ranch, he’ll want to flip a coin, pick “Heads”
• Now go and speak to Madam M at her Massage Parlour, choose the “Luxury Course” for 3000 Gil.
• After the massage, speak to Madam M and Aerith will ask how her dress looks, just say “Looks comfortable”.
• Lastly, complete “Underground Colosseum” and “Parting Ways” objectives.

Now when you next speak to Madam M, she will give you a list of requests from herself, go and complete those side-quests to get this second dress!

Playthrough Three

This is your easiest playthrough, because it requires you to do pretty much nothing. So, naturally, do this on your Hard Mode run if you’re doing one.

Chapter Three – Tifa’s Dress

In Chapter 3, complete none of the side-quests. You won’t get a purple icon on the map and you won’t have any sort of secret conversation with Tifa. Due to this, the game will automatically pick the top option, which is “Mature”. If you accidentally picked “Mature” already, then you will need to do all of the quests on this chapter to get the event and pick one you haven’t had before.

It is important to note here, that the main questline will force you to do a quest to progress. It is likely that if you speak to Chadley, right next to Wymer, the quest will auto-complete, allowing you to proceed with the main story. This won’t affect anything.

Chapter Eight – Aerith’s Dress

Once again, do none of the side-quests in this chapter. You won’t be given any special event or conversation options, just ensure you did none of them (trackable from the touchpad menu) and you’ll be successful.

Chapter Nine – Cloud’s Dress

Do and say anything you want in any order, just make sure you don’t do any of the quests you get from Madam M. Proceed with the main objective until you have this final dress.

You will get the trophy shortly after leaving the honeybee inn for the third time!
